Located next to Ice Cream shop, so can be busy area and outside needed cleaning due to ice cream shop. Seating outside, but could be hot and sunny on a summer day. Had Cinnamon buns, not too impressed. Other selections looked good. Drinks and teas...and coffee available also. Parking in Plaza, could be busy.More

The Lt. Governor's office purchased from Yellow Dog Bread Company, a Raleigh small business, an assortment of breakfast pastries for a meeting. When our guests tasted a sticky bun, cinnamon bun or the delectable chocolate croissant they gave the bakery high praise. If you're in...downtown Raleigh, you should visit Yellow Dog Bread Company for your personal experience of delicious pastries.More

I did not want his sticky bun to end. Every morsel was a delight. Went there just as restaurants were being restricted to take-away service only. The staff were friendly and professional. The place was clean as a whistle.

We decided to try this bakery as we were meeting our daughter. The coffee is ok, a little high priced. The sticky bun was truly outstanding. The chocolate croissant was average. The prices are a little high but it is in a downtown area so...you expect that.More

Rosemary scones are awesome. Nice atmosphere for coffee and bread. They have sticky buns and several loaf breads that looked good.

Great bread and pastry selection. Amazing croissants. At around 11am, at least at the weekend, they bring it some amazing focaccia laced with all sorts of goodness. Shame they don’t have more tables as always busy. Great when the weather’s good. Great coffee

You order at the counter, the same one for ordering and taking out baked goods - a lovely variety of scones, focaccia, and more. (A good variety of loaves of bread - but that's more for take-out.) They have a nice variety of coffee drinks...and also others - but not soft drinks! There are a few tables inside, and a few more outside. The environment is functional and clean, not at all fancy. The staff is friendly and helpful.More

Let’s face it we all need a place that creates mouth watering treats. A variety of delicious delights perfect for those who love baked perfection. Yellow Dog bakes love into all their selections! Behind the counter you will find big smiles and helpful hints. Try...the Coconut Cake.. better yet order one and take it home and you might even meet Willie Wonka.More

First time visit to Yellow Dog and it did not disappoint. The almond croissants were huge and delicious - perfect treat to enjoy while reading the New York Times. We also brought home some French bread and it was very flavorful. The space is small,...but service was quick. Super handy location, close to downtown.More

Enjoyed a Cappuccino and sat outdoors. Didn’t try any pastries/cookies or bread, but, the cinnamon bun(s) on the counter by the cash register looked really good. The only item that I took issue with was a bleach-like odor when I walked through the door. Very...strong and kinda through me off a bit. I can appreciate a clean dining facility but I don’t want to be overwhelmed by the odor of cleaning products either.More

Yellow Dog’s almond croissants and pop tarts are delicious. The biggest problem is that if you don’t get there early enough, it’s easy to miss out on the good stuff.

I bought some bread to take home. A fig/walnut bread which was really nice, and some veggie flatbread - basically foccacia with a fair amount of baked vegetables, squash, mushroom, ... on the top. It was really good! I'll go back to try out more.

This bakery is a great addition to a lively neighborhood near William Peace University in downtown Raleigh. There was a large variety of fesh baked bread. Seeded varieties seemed to be very popular. The scones came in at least six varieties, our favorite being cranberry...pecan. Muffins, turnovers, and fresh baked cookies were also available, but we chose cinnamon rolls for a treat. Of course, there are also breakfast beverages available. There is both indoor and outdoor seating for an enjoyable morning experience.More

They mostly sell fabulous flavorful bread but they have some amazing granola and sticky buns. The service is wonderful. We often have a little something with coffee before we head out. Love my visits to Yellow dog bread Co.
