This is a cash only restaurant that serves breakfast anytime or lunch. They are only open till 2 in the afternoon. My daughter ordered French Toast and I ordered a vegetable plate. Everything was great. Pam's has a variety of fresh vegetables in their menu...and it changes daily. I had butter beans and corn, yams, fresh cucumbers and collard greens. All tasted fresh and were excellent. You get a biscuit and hush puppies with your meal. Pam's is very popular and very Southern. All of the staff from the hostess to the wait staff and cashier are very friendly and address you by honey, sweetie, sugar, darling and like terms. Try it out. Remember they only take cashMore

Pam's is locally owned and only accepts cash. The lunch menu changes daily and offers a variety of meats and vegetables to choose from. A shout out to the delightful hostess that was super nice and had a bubbly personality. All the staff here including...the wait staff and the cashier are really friendly. Ordered vegetable plate had fresh tomato slices, real mashed potatoes, field peas and snaps and cabbage. Everything was good their biscuits are delicious. Will be back good Southern food restaurantMore

At long last...I found my happy place. This clean, friendly place shares a building on Western Blvd the The Goat, which is on the building, but there is a big sign for Pam's out front. Go in the front door, then the door to the...left is Pam's. You will be greeted and seated quickly in a truly southern farmhouse atmosphere. The menu changes daily, so is handwritten. They have both breakfast and lunch. I had lunch on my first visit with choices like hamburger steak and onions, beef tips and rice, pork chop, bbq chicken, etc to choose from. I got the best beef tips around with collards and fried okra. Both the veggies were done with southern excellence! Which is better, the hush puppies or the biscuits? Both are out of this world! Only one dessert on the day I went...peach cobbler..yes, home made!! Your sweet tea will come in a mason jar and is the BEST around. Great food, super service, a big menu and prices that are hard to believe...all in a clean, warm atmosphere. Feels like grandmother's kitchen, and you are treated that way. Be aware...no credit cards...bring your cash. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and closed on Sunday. I will become a regular at this wonderful place (despite the goat, which was closed when I was there, opens later). You will leave stuffed and happy for sure!More

We ordered breakfast and it took us back to the delicious southern breakfasts we grew up on. We live in NJ now. When they put the biscuits on the table, I knew it would be good because they were not completely round and just looked...freshly made. Everything was great! Can't wait to return. We arrived around noon and saw many of the other lunch and dinner items that looked very good. The food was cheap. We asked for iced tea to go and they stated that they do not charge for the tea but only 27 cents for the cup. Great southern hospitality. Nothing fancy, but really good food and family atmosphere.More

It was a Saturday morning, the parking lot was full, the restaurant was bustling. It is a local place for locals! As an outsider, I didn't feel completely welcomed. There is a "system" that one has to figure out. As the first person "told" me...I needed to stand in a single file--ok lady, just trying to figure how the place works! The receipt is also just tucked on the table somewhere, you have to take it up to the cashier to pay your bill. All well and fine--they just assume you know how the place works. The food was just okay. You want toast? There is just white bread toast. Oh--there is a choice of biscuits too. The bread is already buttered when it arrives. I asked for my egg medium over. The white was still quite runny. The water pitchers were left on our small table for their convenience when someone around us needed water. I came in as a solo diner. There was a young man that said I could join him. Very North Carolina--how could I say no?! So I joined him, he comes here almost every day for breakfast. Good conversation. It was a good experience, however not something I would repeat when I come back to Raleigh.More

Fantastic country breakfast! Omelets, the best biscuits I've ever eaten, real redeye gravy, real butter. This is a small restaurant with tight parking, is cash only, & is very popular with the locals, serving breakfast & lunch. I would happily eat breakfast there every day....Has a 100 rating from the health inspection. It was immaculately clean, all the more amazing when you consider the age of the building. The owner is present and keeps close watch. Staff are well trained and had great training in safe and sanitary food handling.More

Pam's Farmhouse is a mainstay, down to earth, feels like home place located in West Raleigh. Pam has owned and operated her business for 23 years, I believe. Certainly not the oldest in town but an increasingly rare thing. Pam's offers great southern fare and...at a refreshingly reasonable price. Open for breakfast and lunch offering a wide variety of southern breakfast meats, eggs, pancakes and big, soft biscuits. I've not eaten here for lunch but the menu covers all the southern favorites from meatloaf and mashed potatoes to southern veggies. The staff all make you feel like you're with family and friends. Just an all-around nice bunch of friendly folks.More

It was Country Style Steak day this was Thursday at Pam's. The food has always been good. Really enjoyed the CSS along with candied yams and fresh tomatoes. Biscuits were nice and hot. The tea pitchers on the table ran dry - seems like it...would be easier to refill them than to keep going back and forth to the beverage station. Only issue is that the servers are sometimes hit or miss. I know they are busy, but there are a few that aren't as dialed into your customers as perhaps they could be. Lady at the register is very sweet. Remember cash only but they do have an ATM onsite.More
