Was in the area and dying for a gluten free cupcake and some macaroons but was quite disappointed in the final results. We got two cupcakes and my husband actually found some plastic in his cupcake. The texture was not that great and they weren't...very soft. The macaroons were ok. The restaurant was very clean and the service was excellent.More

We parked and were on our way to dinner at Firebirds when we saw this bakery on our walk. We decided to stop in and get some treats before dinner since they would likely be closed after dinner. They had other options like cookies, crumble...bars, cake slices, gluten-free, etc. but we love cupcakes. I thought about trying the honey cupcake (since it is very different) but went with some favorite flavors we usually try at new places so we went with 3 cupcakes: Mint Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, and Milk & Cookies. The Milk & Cookies cupcake is the best one by far. We both love cookie dough so this was the winner for us. We enjoyed the Mint Chocolate Chip one as well and I enjoyed the Red Velvet one. We would buy them all again. I would try out different flavors next time. Pricing was about $1 - $1.5 more than we have to pay in our hometown. We paid 3.95 per cupcake plus tax. They were worth it since they are delicious, bigger than a normal cupcake, lots of icing, and moist. They have friendly staff that were knowledgeable about the cupcakes that we asked about. It is very clean in there. They do have restrooms and that smelled nice and was very clean as well.More

I try cupcakes in every place I visit, and this place does not disappoint. They have a variety of cupcakes, cakes and other desserts. They did have some gluten free options as well. This is not a tourist place either, as it is definitely catering...to parties, etc. Their artwork on their cakes was incredible. They also have a banana pudding which was yummy. this is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.More

It honestly pains me to write this review, because I had high hopes for this bakery but they completely and utterly failed.I began planning out a military themed cake 6 weeks in advance. I corresponded with Edible Art, and showed several pictures of what I...wanted. Five weeks prior to needing the cake completed, I stopped by, went over my request one last time and placed the order. The original order was under $100 (it was $95), in which case Edible Art does not require you to pay half because it isn't over $100. Moreover, I still paid half to reiterate my seriousness and appreciation for them taking on the small task of an 8 inch round military cake for a very important person & occasion. The pick up day arrived last Thursday, March 30 and I was so excited to see the cake however I had a feeling I should ask for photos prior to picking it up in case something was incorrect- therefore I went with my gut instinct, and boy am I glad I did. I called, requested photos, and shortly after received an email. I opened the e-mail and was shocked at the poor quality and what appeared to be a cake thrown together last minute. This disappointment came about due to the photos on the website, showing the ability and talent Edible Art chooses to instill in some and not all of their orders. Specifically, the huge fondant flag had 5 stripes, which looked identical to fruit roll ups. It was awful looking. Furthermore, the camouflage border was hideous. It looked like M&M's stuck around the bottom. The cursive hand writing was not professional looking, and lastly, the cake was not even centered on the cake board. I returned to Edible Art's website, because I was honestly flabbergasted at the quality, well lack of, in my cake and KNEW for certain I had seen beautiful work on their website inclusive of an American flag I distinctly remember being exactly what I wanted. My disappointed was conveyed, civilly, via email to the two young girls who work at the bakery. I was not rude, demanding, or curt, because I knew they were not the cake decorator and it wasn't fair to them for me to lash out. I begin asking for the modifications to be made. I was at work, unable to call so I asked my mother to call on my behalf and emailed them to let them know she would convey my concerns. The modifications were made to the flag, which was one of my largest concerns but I was then told it was too late to fix the "camo" border, and was also told the girl would be leaving soon which to me, was very unprofessional considering it was apparent customer satisfaction had not been received on this order and "leaving" meant she could care less. Furthermore, we requested the Army symbol be added because the cake was so odd looking and thrown together. Then, whomever was responding on the email had the audacity to tell me it would cost an additional $15 to add the image. The image was not even fully on the cake, it looked like a faded imagine printed on a piece of paper just stuck to the side. First and foremost, Edible Art, learn the importance of customer satisfaction. Instead of charging extra, to now make this a nearly $115 cake, your bakery should have sought out to remedy the situation they created. I emphasized the importance of fulfilling my request 100%, and what I in turn received was what appeared to be a product of a beginner in fondant and cake decorating. To add insult to injury, the cake tasted horrible. It was dry, and was not enjoyed by any of the guests. You can imagine how mortified I was at this point with the experience I had with Edible Art. Additionally, it appears you all have had several complaints & issues in recent months which should be alarming to all parties involved. My order could have easily turned into repeat business, a future wedding cake, birthday cakes, etc. However, instead I would like to express my dissatisfaction and warn future buyers of this bakery. Perhaps had my order been more expensive, it would have been taken seriously. Nevertheless, Caveat Emptor.More

Edible Art did a sheet cake for our son's graduation and what a unbelievable job they did. It looked gorgeous, 1/2 the cake decorated in his high school colors and the other 1/2 decorated in UNC colors. It was original and awesome. The cake itself...was delicious !!!! Moist, tasty and not too sweet. I would recommend edible art for any occasion. BTW their cupcakes will knock your socks off!!!More

I dropped by Edible Art to payoff a wedding cake and order a groom's cake for an upcoming wedding (May 2016.) I have ordered special event cakes before from this bakery and have never been disappointed. To be frank, this is not your typical bakery...-- the artistry and skill that go into these cakes are of the highest level and quality and do not come cheaply. But, if it is a special occasion and you want to splurge, Edible Art is your place. I took the opportunity to treat myself to a cupcake after plans for the cakes were completed and was not disappointed. FYI -- Edible Art has moved to North Hills in Raleigh so the location needs to be changed on TripAdvisor.More

After a lunch at Coquette, I was walking to my car and saw a sign that had a lavender honey cupcake on it. So I knew I had to get one of those. I got a few other varities as well but the one with...lavender was oh so good. Besides cupcakes this place sells cake slices and makes designer cakes. I can't wait to try more!More

A minimum cost is around $100. It really depends on how ornate that decorations are. We got a wedding cake that was simple to serve 150 for around $900 and a groom's cake for 50 for $250.
