Always great coffee and food. I like the pre-order system. But when it goes wrong (like oops, forgot to fulfill your order, I'm terribly sorry), the baristas are the only ones to discuss your missing order. When Andrew was there he was always friendly, client...focused and eager to engage the fulfillment errors. Not so anymore. Eye Contact? Telling Client to go look for it again (it's over there go check it again). No clue how to say, sorry. Weak customer service, but the quality of the product allows me to overlook the lack of caring. 5.0 it is.More

I don’t quite understand why the person who wrote the review “I’ll never return” needed to point out someone’s ethnic background as their description. The review seemed more personal than helpful. For those who have never been there, I hope you’ll still give the place...a chance. This is where I go when I need a pick-me-up, or I’ve just gotta get out of the house, or where I meet a friend, or to treat myself after the gym. You get what I’m saying. I’m just one of the throngs of regulars who keep the lines long and the seating capacity full. I don’t even consider that a quibble because it all moves fast and it’s so worth it. The Jubala mocha is the best I’ve ever had. Period. It tastes like the smell of coffee—roasted, full-bodied, rich with an aromatic finish. The baristas finish them off with a beautiful design on the steamed milk. The drop biscuits have just a hint of sweet. I have them with honey, the blueberry compote, or the oh so satisfying bacon, egg and cheese. They perfectly crisp that thick slice of bacon. Mmm. Their sandwiches are equally delicious. Top it all off with the warm, fresh, toffee chocolate chunk cookie. The place is my addiction. Don’t miss it!More

This place has been a favorite for years. But I just want to brag on their seasonal creativity and excellence. Every seasonal drink I’ve tried has just blown me away with both flavor and ...textures, if that’s the word. Just incredible and consistently delicious. It’s...my go-to place in North Raleigh. The only trouble I’ve run into is finding a table, but have never failed to get one eventually. And the busy-ness just a symptom of a great business.More

Stopped in for coffee and had an amazing Iced Coffee with macadamia milk. When I told Rachel that I was allergic to milk she was awesome - taking her time to go through my options and making sure I had a great experience. So sweet!...Highly recommend this spot both for the great coffee and for the perfect service. (Oh and excellent, thick bacon too!)More

I love everything about this coffee shop! The picturesque European feel of Lafayette Village gives me the feeling I’m traveling back in Belgium or Germany every time I go to Jubala to meet a friend or work. The Counter Culture Coffee is always excellent and...their coffee cocktails are unbelievably delicious! My personal fave currently is their orange flat white. They have a variety of pour overs and espresso drinks, as well as teas and chai, so everyone can find something To suit their texts. Their food is fantastic and their waffles take me back to my summer in Brussels! Seating is available inside, outside on the sidewalk, and overlooking the courtyard as well. Bar seating, tables for one or two are available, as well as larger size tables that encourage you to speak to other customers. Staff is friendly and customers are great to chat with! Jubala is always a highlight of my day!More

This is a very nice little coffee shop in a shopping complex. Upon entering the wonderful smell of coffee fills the air. I have actually gotten coffee here several times and every time the coffee looked and tasted very good. The restaurant was clean and...the station where you can add to your coffee was also well stocked and clean. They also serve coffee beans that they will roast for you, Vivaldi chocolates which is a local chocolate company as well as many other goodies. My only negative is that the employees are not very friendly as every time I entered the shop I was never greeted for placing my order or thanked. They do get the items out fairly quickly. They also serve some kinds of foods but since I can only eat gluten free I have not tried the food.More

The coffee is very good but it is a rocking coffee shop and more like a hipster bar. For social purposes this place is great with music and the place to see or be seen. But if you are looking for a coffee shop to...do some work, it is loud and crowded. Good with friends but perhaps not so good solo. I'll give the caveat that I was there on a weekend, it may be a different scene during the week.More

Wanted a decent cup of coffe and a quick breakfast ther than sweet rolls. I ordered a Cortado and this was as good as I used to get when living in Puerto Rico. I was reluctant to order a breakfast as I didn’t want anything...sweet. I had been slightly warned that the biscuits were on the sweet side. However, I ordered the “country ham” biscuit. It came ultra thin sliced as in prosciutto or serano ham. Surprisingly, the sweet biscuit coupled with the salty ham was absolutely delicious! Will definitely visit again when I am in Raleigh.More

The server places our order on a table next to the counter and calls our name. We pick it up and are walking out the door when the server yells across the room at us making a big scene "hey, hey, that's not your order,...that's not your order!" We go back to get what we think is our order but not sure because no one working there seems to know. None of the sandwich cartons are marked with names or even a description of what's inside. Meanwhile several people are opening the cartons and picking at the food to see whose order is which. The whole thing was appallingly unprofessional and quite frankly unsanitary.More

Went last night with my daughter, who'd been there before and wanted one of their apple butter biscuits, of which we each got one, but we also split each a blueberry and a cinnamon waffle and wow, not at all like a regular waffle -...so good you don't even need syrup - yum! Both of ours (I assume all) were stuffed with their particular flavor, sprinkled with what looks almost like sesame seeds, and with an oh-so-deliciously just-right crispy outside (contrast against the soft, yummy inside) that'll melt in your mouth! Biscuit (3.0) - homemade goodness, probably better as a breakfast biscuit with eggs, etc Blueberry Waffle (5.0) - legendary! Cinammon Waffle (3.5) - very goodMore

First visit was impressive. They have a small, albeit interesting menu at very reasonable prices. The Mocha café was very good and unlike many other places, you definitely know the espresso is in there. Great friendly service, but this place is small and has limited...seating.More

Having previously lived in Raleigh we knew their coffee was fantastic! We fly in and had a short 12 hours in town while in route to another location, but this was a must stop for us! The coffee is the best in the area!
