We love a great restaurant and spend lots of money eating out. The food here was very good, but IMO unnecessarily expensive….very overpriced. Ordered eggrolls … the waiter said there was 4 of them. It was actually 2 skinny, small rolls cut in half….. for...FIFTEEN dollars! There was 6 of us and we shared most of the dishes…. the bill was close to 400 dollars. Like I said… food was good enough to go back but we wont due to price. It is one of those places that you pay too much and still leave a bit hungry!More

Had a great time here, love the open modern layout concept of the restaurant, sleek and clean. Interesting that back walls are filled with books, giving the idea that you're eating in a library - though the restaurant is very bright, light, open. Service was...very good though we had a hard time getting the sauces and "condiments" which are standard at every table - we had dishes in front of us yet no sauces or condiments and had to wait as our dim sum stared at us, smirking, knowing we couldn't eat them to full effect without the sauces. We mainly stuck with the dim sum menu for dinner and the one entree we did order, we wish we hadn't, the General Tso chicken - we hoped it would be better than the General Tso dishes you find out and about but this fell into the same trap of being too bready with many pieces being breading only, hard pressed to find the chicken. We ordered nearly every bao and dumpling on the menu, We highly recommend the shumai and especially the seafood dumplings - wow! The Cantonese BBQ pork bao are also very good though our table was conflicted as to where their bao allegiances actually lay! Bring friends, order lots of the dim sum dishes, order several of the innovative cocktails and have a great evening.More

We enjoyed lunch at this very popular restaurant. Service was good. Dim Sum was very good. General Tso chicken was just okay and probably something we should not have ordered but it is apparently one of the biggest sellers on the menu. The salad was...just okay and would be improved greatly with some cashews and fruit. The cake for dessert did not live up to the description or price in the menu. We were charged a higher price on the bill for the cake than the menu stated. Coffee was very strong, and had grounds in the cup. Hope you don't want milk or cream in the coffee, cause there's none to be found. This restaurant must not serve much coffee. I would go back but stick with the dim sum items.More

My children and I visited this restaurant on March 11 to celebrate my son‘s birthday. We made reservations earlier in the week. On our way to the restaurant, there was an accident that caused traffic to be backed up, so we called the restaurant to...let them know that we would be a few minutes late. Our reservations were for 5:30 PM but because of the traffic issues, we did not arrive until 5:50 PM. They said that they could still accommodate us but we would need to be finished by 7:00 PM because they had another reservation at that time. I was taken aback by this comment but it was my son’s birthday, so I did not question it especially since we were already late for our reservation. The more I thought about it, the more I felt that comment was a bit interesting; I’ve eaten at many many different ratings of restaurant and was never given a timeframe to eat. So that means that even if we were on time at 5:30 PM for our reservation, we would only have 1.5 hours to have a three course meal?? 🤔🧐 In any event, we decided to make the best of the situation and have an enjoyable time anyway. This became easy to do because of our server, Kelly H. She was absolutely exceptional! She was professional, friendly, detail oriented, observant, and took care of our needs in a timely manner and with a beautiful smile. To help expedite everything, we placed our orders for all three courses upfront so that there would be no additional delays. The food was served in a timely manner. The presentation of the food was aesthetically beautiful. The flavors of each dish were superb. Everything was cooked perfectly with the right amount of moisture and great texture. We enjoyed every bit of it! I cannot say enough about how tasty, moist, flavorful, and presentable the whole fish dish was. That was my favorite! The quantity of food for all dishes was also sufficient and comparable to the price paid. Because we were conscious of the time allotment, and it was almost getting to that 7 PM mark, we packed the remaining of our food in a “to go” container to continue our birthday celebration at home. I still have questions about the time allotment of 1.5 hours for 3 people to eat a three course meal; however, the food was definitely worth it and our server made our experience wonderful although we did feel rushed. I would have given this restaurant a 5-star rating if it wasn’t for the time constraints that were placed on us which made us feel rushed and unable to take our time to enjoy the food and the ambience. As a direct result of the great food and our server treating us as valued customers and enhancing our experience at this restaurant, we will visit again.More

Waited for a while to eat at this restaurant with my girlfriend. Important note: I am Chinese and she is Korean. The restaurant itself presents itself with a great environment and quality service. However, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the Dim Sum....It was "okay" at best. We ordered a few dishes including dumplings, pork buns, the shrimp noodles, and the duck buns. The restaurant boasts a tradition of crafting the food with the upmost quality, but there was such a definite difference in actual traditional Chinese Dim Sum, and.... whatever they claim this food to be. The dumplings wraps were made of poor quality; the pork buns had absolutely no quality to the actual bun, and very little pork flavor from a regular steamed pork bun; the shrimp noodles were the most similar to an actual shrimp noodle dish, whereas the duck buns also had the same flavorless bun taste with almost no juiciness to the duck meat and horribly made "hoison sauce" that is traditionally eaten with the duck buns. I asked for chili oil, which is a common condiment used in dim sum, and I was given... basically just pure chili flakes. A HUGE disappointment with the quality of food, so much that I started laughing at the food MID-BITE. This restaurant claims to have a grasp on the variety of Asian food, but I think this is a take on a "healthy" version of Dim Sum... which is absolutely not the way to reach a great quality of the advertised food. Again, the presentation of the restaurant was amazing, and the customer service was very good, but overall the quality of the food was complete trash. It was a flagrant disregard to actual Asian food, and completely overpriced. Panda Express can offer better quality Asian food, and that is a sad understatement.More

Ate here with my family and had the best meal. I have never really eaten dumplings before so the cuisine was new to me. Thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We each had a couple of cocktails too and all were very well done. The atmosphere...is very nice, huge indoor seating area with a little market in the front of the restaurant. Very open and comfortable. The waitress was knowledgeable and helped me navigate the cuisine and what I would like/not like with ease. Fairly priced in my opinion. Would definitely recommend.More

My husband and I were just in Raleigh overnight and happened on this Brewery/Asian restaurant. We stopped to have a beer, but ended up staying for a delicious meal. The granite bar is beautiful and inviting. It has a fun vibe, though a bit loud...because of high ceilings. We had the spicy pepper beef dish with rice which we split and loved it. All of the food that came out of the kitchen smelled and looked delicious. All age groups were there. Singles, couples and families. The two bartenders that served us were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Two great guys! Thanks! Their manager was also very nice and answered any questions we had. My husband and I are still talking about the food today as we can’t get that quality of Asian food in our little town. The beer was also delicious and was tapped out of a granite backsplash as well. Very beautiful! Classy place and something different.More

Had long anticipated coming here as it was our first indoor dining since a year ago. Reviews suggested a fabulous meal and we came away quite deflated. Yes the dim sum were tasty and well prepared but the mains were unacceptable renditions of two familiar...dishes. The nasi goreng was a mushy ball of rice with plenty of flavor...perhaps too much that so overwhelmed the rice that it was difficult to eat very much. The lo mein was again overcooked noodles drowning in sauce. Frankly have had better at my local Chinese carryout. All in all prices over the top for inferior food. Yes, its a lovely place with a great vibe, good service and excellent beers and cocktails. Go there for that, not the food or at least not the mains.More

Great food but over priced. Great service. We had the crab rangoon, edamame dumplings, and a few other small plates. We had the general tsos chicken and the lo mein for larger plates. The lo mein was not our favorite. Chicken was quite good. Banana...cake was pretty good. We were celebrating two special occasions. For my birthday, they brought champagne to the table and for my son, who just got into medical school, they brought an IPA for all and a yummy cupcake. We would return.More

We were there Saturday night. Waited a bit in line, but that is to be expected. They've done a great job with their outside seating and making things as safe as possible. Burgers were delicious! Our server was Eli and he was everything you'd want...in a server. He was very knowledgeable about the food and beers, very attentive, and super happy - all while wearing a mask the entire time.More

We were looking for some dim sum - specifically stewed spicy chicken feet! Nope - no stewed chicken feet but lots of other stuff - craft beers, books, flowers & potted plants! This is an interesting place and not to be missed when in Raleigh....However, I was not particularly impressed with the food. Beware, the line to get in during the weekend can be wickedly long, bring your patience.More

Brewery Bhavana is unlike any other. It serves excellent craft beers, Dim Sum and larger entrées, has a book store, full bar, and a flower shop under the same roof. Service is excellent and informed. Food is fine quality dim sum with an extra creative...side to it. The shrimp and chic Shuo Mai, the pork bao, and seafood dumplings in an intense mushroom broth were all good, went well with each other and made an exciting lunch. The extra quality comes at slightly higher prices, but the quality is recognized and the restaurant was crowded. I can't wait to return.More

A very stylish space where it is possible to have a beer, eat a meal, buy flowers, read a book and buy a book. The cuisine is Asian, with a varied menu served in an elegant, uncluttered, airy loft-style environment. Plenty of gluten free, vegan...and vegetarian choices. I had vegetable curry puffs which were deliciously light and subtle in flavour. Highly recommended.More
