This was our first time at Sitti. We went on recommendation from trip advisor ratings. What a wonderful experience. The restaurant is convenient to downtown Raleigh. It is spacious and inviting. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Our server Lesley was awesome! We started...with the hummus and those amazing handmade pitas. My husband and I both ordered the lamb Shawarma wrap with side salad. So good! Definitely a must try when in the area!More

Excellent food and service on a holiday weekend. The restaurant filled quickly, and deserves its top-ten in Raleigh rating.

Really great food and service in a nicely renovated space in the old part of Raleigh. I would definitely go back.

We have eaten at downtown Raleigh restaurants before. This is a particularly nice restaurant. We did not have a reservation, but the host was able to seat us at one end of the long wooden table in the middle of the dining area (eventually, right...before we were ready to leave, the other end of the table started to fill up). We ordered the vegan tasting, which included baba ghanouj, falafel, hummus, and fatoosh salad. It was very good. We also ordered a rice and chicken dish, pizza from the kids' menu, and lentil soup. There was lots of pita bread supplied, along with hummus. For dessert, the toddler in our group ordered the strawberry sorbet, which came with fresh strawberries cut up on the side. Three important notes: first of all, we were (pleasantly) surprised to see that there were lots of other tables with small children, a family atmosphere. Secondly, we were served fairly generous portions but our total bill was not excessive. Finally, they have a see-through window to the kitchen, which allows you to see a bit of how the food is prepared. This is a good thing, it gives you some confidence in the hygiene standards of the restaurant.More

Sitti provides really yummy Lebanese food in a great setting. The outdoor courtyard is wonderful on a spring evening, and much quieter than the main restaurant. Try the mouhamra (roasted red pepper and walnut puree). The labneh was delicious, too, not too tart with a...hint of za'atar. Highly recommend the salmon (samkeh harra) and the chicken artichoke. The kebabs are good, too, very tender. The sitti rice is always a treat. The service on our weekend night was a little haphazard--the refills we asked for never appeared, nor did a second beer or a basket of pita. Small oversights in a great place. Definitely going back.More

On a tip from an associate, we tried this restaurant while staying overnight in the city. It was certainly difficult to choose as everything on the menu sounded wonderful. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts (not allowed to cook these at home!), and my chicken-artichoke "pizza"...was delicious...even the following day! My husband enjoyed his goat cheese stuffed peppers and another chicken dish...no leftovers for him. Service was perfect too...a rarity now days.More

Appetizer was good and service was great. We ordered two wraps one chicken and one Falafel based and both were disgusting. I was very disappointed that there was no flavor and chicken seemed like it was just taken out of the refrigerator. It was part...of a hot food item list but it was not even warm.More

My friend and I ate the Fassouli - such a simple dish, right? NO! It was the best we have ever eaten, truly unable to duplicate. How could such a "simple" stew be so original in its taste? And you feel so good after eating...it. It is such a healthy meal. Have never found anything like it elsewhere, and I've tried. Exceptional service as well. If I lived nearby, I would eat that dish every single weekday - and carry it out for the weekends! It must be one of those healthy "blue zone" foods judging by the fresh ingredients.More

We reserved seating in the “courtyard” and when we sat at the table, within a few seconds we noticed a horrible smell. Looked down and there was a sewer grate right under our table. So we got up and went to an empty table farther...away. Immediately the server came over and said “that’s Gravy’s table, not ours, you can’t sit there.” We told him about the smell and he took our table and dragged it over a few feet from the sewer and never apologized or anything, just made us feel like we were a pain. There were other empty tables but he never offered those to us. We kept getting waves of the sewer smell throughout the meal. The server was extremely rude and only acted halfway polite when he gave us the check. Never offered to refill our drinks or asked us anything about the meal. The food was good, but small portions for the price. Very disappointing evening.More

Met some friends for lunch. My friends were older and we ate in the main dining area. The restaurant is so loud that we had difficulty hearing each other (high ceilings). If this is a challenge for your party, there is a courtyard seating option...I believe. We also were seated on the left side fo the main dining room in a booth area and the booth seat had lost its cushion and was so uncomfortable I couldn't find a way to sit and hear my friends without having uncomfortable pressure on by tailbone. Since this was a first visit for my friends I ordered the sampler however it would have been helpful if the waiter had told me the additional items I ordered were the same as what was in the sampler - I think I just didn't notice because we were so caught up in catching up with each other. The food is always good here - consistent, flavorful. The pita is homemade and out of this world. And my server was so enthusiastic about it being my birthday and delivered a wine refill the moment I swallowed my last sip - which was so noticed and appreciated. He was so fabulous. I think this is a must visit if you are in Raleigh for a brief time but request seating that is a good match for your party.More
