Terrible. They don’t list all of the ingredients in the dog treats. They put brown sugar and margarine in their treats. Made my friend’s doggies so sick, they had to take them to the vet and then didn’t care they were sick.

We always come here for our sweet treats. Great cinnamon roll and cup cakes. We tried the cake also and it was great also.
I stopped in here on Saturday to check them out again. The display cases were better filled today, perhaps because it is Furniture Market time. Their prices are still fairly steep on larger items. I bought a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie that was medium...in size and fairly good for 99 cents plus tax.More
If you are looking for a family owned business of bakers from three generations, you will not find a better place than the Sweet Shoppe. I went to school with the current owner and their family has been in business the entire time I have...lived in High PointMore
I dropped in on Saturday morning to check this bakery out again. I keep hoping I will see an improvement. It didn't happen today. Shelves again were empty or mostly empty. Strangely enough, they even carry products from a different bakery - Dewey's Bakery. Items...seem to be overpriced in general. I tasted a sample of the cut out cookies and purchased a small pink colored cut out rabbit cookie . It was a smaller than your palm and a plain colored sugar cookie - no frosting or details on it - and it was 99 cents. There's not much here.More
I was nearby so I decided to give them another try - maybe they had improved. Mid morning on Saturday, I was the only customer. That might tell you something. Walking in the bakery, I saw empty and nearly empty shelves. Some open shelves had...items widely spaced out on display. Covered display cases were a bit better filled. There was not a big selection of goods. Some of the cakes on display - for example, a round two layer cake - were almost $24. The selection was not wide and the items they did have seemed over priced. I got a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie that was not overly large for $1.06. I shared it with hubby and we both thought there was nothing special about it. A hand written sign outside the front door said this was their 72nd Anniversary. They may have been around a long time, but they need to up their game to be in competition with the current bakery market.More
The seasonal offerings were delicious, like the peach and berry pies. The cinnamon sticks and the chocolate éclairs were tasty. The next time we go there we will want to try their cakes. Parking was a little bit of a challenge.
My wife was very familiar with Sweet Shoppe, especially the icing. Though other reviews say that Sweet Shoppe is average, I disagree. The icing is superb (wonderful, light, buttery stuff!), the seasonal blackberry tarts are a great summer treat, the apple fritters are lip-smacking good,...and the Maryanne's are an all-time favorite (devil's food cake topped with icing, all covered in chocolate). The cake we ordered was made to our specifications, and all was consumed at our party. Turnaround time for orders is minimal, though I would suggest giving them several days for cakes (at least) as they are fairly busy.More
Tried this bakery for the first time. Ordered a chocolate cake. The taste was average at best. An Ok bakery but not great considering the price.
Today I stopped in at the Sweet Shoppe Bakery for the first time. I will point out that as you face the bakery, there is additional parking on a small corner lot to the left of the bakery building. The staff was friendly and welcoming....They had an adequate selection of baked goods. I thought the goods were generally over-priced. We bought and ate sugar cookies for 99 cents each. They were colorful and tasty enough, but were dry and hard. I don't think we will shop here again.More
I love this bakery. I can't say it enough. Their cream-filled doughnuts are heavenly. We also love their cookies. I have never had anything from there that I didn't like. Their prices are excellent as well. Also the service is polite and friendly.
This is the best place in High Point to get pasties and cakes. Allow a little extra planning for a birthday cake, as this place stays busy. That will tell you how good this place is by the amount of business they do...
Fresh bakery items, all very sweet but good, reasonably priced, lots of seasonal items. Counter help makes good suggestions. Good custom birthday cakes.
We've stopped here for sweet treats numerous times when visiting the area. Everything we have tried to date is yummy! It's always busy so get there early for the best selection!!
Popped in to pick up churro's for our weekend hostess and they were as delicious as I remember. Tried the brownie's on a whim, but they weren't really impressive! My advice, stick with what you know here!
