We have learned that when en Provence a gizzard salad is called “Salad de Pays d’Oc”. We again enjoyed the salad in the Pays d’Oc at La Flambée. This restaurant is a favorite lunch place on market day of friends who live in the area. We have enjoyed eating there on each of our visits. The interior is authentic, old time, rural France.

We have been to this restaurant twice before and had a nice meal. On this occasion the experience was very different. We were a party of six. We made our selection and were then told that for three of us, our choices were not available. It would have been helpful to have been told what was not available from the menu, in advance.
I had to change my choice. As a vegetarian the other options were limited. I chose a goats cheese salad. It was extremely disappointing. There were six slices of baguette with a goats cheese slice on each, one tomato, one slice of onion and the rest of the plate was lettuce. A tiny drizzle of balsamic. We paid 12 euros for this. The worst goats cheese salad I have ever had in France.
For the rest of the party, the pizza's were ok, and the fish dishes were nice.
Very pricey ice cream for dessert at 6 euros for two boules of average quality.
Shame. I came away feeling very disappointed. The photo looks much more substantial than it actually was.

the carafe of vin rouge was excellent and well priced
the coffee was good
the creme brulee was excellent
the duck legs were excellent
BUT how can you turn perfectly good potatoes into such awful chips.
Service was friendly and good.
Sort out the chips and you are on a winner, a suggestion which could help if it is not already being done is to blanche them first.
otherwise don't reheat them or leave them sitting to long before plating

Having eaten here many times previously and very much enjoyed the pizzas, I dined here recently with a group of friends and the pizzas were terrible. Normally thin and crusty, tonight’s offerings were thick, doughy and undercooked. The restaurant was very busy, but that should not be an excuse to lower the standard of food.

Thought we’d try the Flambée at its new premises where the Prélude used to be. Lovely friendly service and great value for money lunch. Good fortune to them at their new premises.

We stayed at la Maison des Consuls which does not have a restaurant but recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The duck was delicious.

we eat here every month when we come on a cheese buying trip for our own restauarnt. Last time I left a 4 star review and regretted it straight away. What more could anybody ask for? Friendly service. Dog friendly and good food at fantastic value.
We had a great meal.

My birthday dinner for six was enjoyed thouroughly by everyone. Service eternally faultless, food very tasty and great value wine. Easily the best value and most consistent choice in Mirepoix. Very highly recommended again.

This is the third or fourth time that we have eaten here since our last review and it is consistantly very good.
Always very good value although the service does fall down sometimes when busy. The home made French fries are very good and the bavette of beef is always excellent and at its best when ordered blue.

An impromptu Sunday lunch after finding this sunny spot off the main square with lovely looking food and a great value menu prix fixe. We all had salade chèvre chaud and bavette with gorgeous fries. A drop of rosé and crêpes or glacé to finish. Prompt and friendly service - would recommend. We’ll be back! Merci 👌

Popped in here for lunch and wasn't disappointed. We had warm goats cheese salad with Honey and pate to start. Very large portions. For main we had bavette steak (sourced from Ireland) and it was the best I have tasted for some time.

We don't often get out for lunch as we run our own restaurant but we had a day off and made it to the always excellent Mirepoix market.
The service was friendly and it was very good value. We chose the 15 € lunch menu which consisted of starter and main with coffee.
I am only giving 4* rather than 5 due to my goats cheese on salad being stone cold (the goats cheese I mean of course). I got the impression that it has been pre-cooked and warmed through not very well.
Main course was bavette of beef. Ordered and served rare for both of us with very good French fries. The plates were cold and that meant that the food went cold very quickly. My garlic butter was fridge cold on top of the luke warm steak and should have been melted.
The service and atmosphere is good and we enjoyed the meal overall.

We have dined at La Flambee almost weekly throughout the winter and the welcome, service and food have been reliably excellent every time. Their pizzas and steaks are second to none and they cook the tastiest fries I have ever had. Their house wines are eminently drinkable and very good value. We have lived in Mirepoix for some years and enjoyed the food from the last owners but we think the under Julie and her team everything is even better. For good value hearty food look no further. Just booked for tonight. Mmmm!

Good service and atmosphere but food quality was very poor : it seems the galette were already made (if not bought from the grocery store) and then topped up with fillings and microwaved. Same for the sweet crêpes with jam : it was clearly microwaved. Not tasteful at all. Something as easy as galette and crêpe shouldn't be that poor quality... Not going back!
