decent value for money. Appetizers mediocre (good butternut cream but overcooked eggs; crushed sole not very balanced); Delicious dishes and very good desserts too. But the food and wine pairing??? No interest ! We were served 3 glasses without even seeing the bottles, no advice, no tasting... Sorry but that's not a food and wine pairing, it's just 3 glasses of wine to choose from with the menu. It would be fairer for the customer to sell it like this. Really room for improvement, but overall a good time!

Without any hesitation we will return, a warm welcome. Excellent daily menu with fresh produce including fish, vegetables and also meat for perfect cooking. As for the profiteroles, a marvel. Thanks to the chef and the whole team

Well we landed late staff was fantastic booked us in no problems and kept the restaurant open for us food was really nice and 2 bottles of champagne went down well one in the restaurant and one in the room they gave us a ice bucket to keep the champagne cool and they was also not worried about us paying for the food before we went back to are room we stayed 2 nights and found it to be a really pleasant place to stay and safe parking.I would strongly recommend this place and it was not over priced like most we have stayed in.Room 33 big shower and very quiet.

Convenient for a cold night, late hotel arrival. Staff were helpful. Big open characterless space. Set menu was limited - pumpkin soup was bland and tasteless for such a simple dish; chicken main dish adequate; dessert was tiny and bland; house wine expensive. Very disappointing for a restaurant in France!!

Family gathering for a wedding being held locally, many of he rooms taken by wedding guests. We had five rooms for three and two nights. All rooms clean, good ensuite facilities air conditioning in all rooms most welcome (temp peaked at 33 degrees C.) As we had fmaily staying elsewhere in the town we did not make use of the dining facilites but the menu looked very interesting and from the feedback from other wedding guests who did dine the food was of a high quality. Hotel staff very helpful locating and supplying an iron to sort the posh frocks for the wedding we were attending. A very nice comformablte hotel, parking alongside the hotel and only 200 yards into the main town square. If we return to the area we will use this as our base.

Efficient and helpful staff couldn't disguise the rather heavy and soulless air inside the restaurant. The large portions were somewhat over facing and lacked imagination. The tinned fruit salad dessert was sugary and unacceptable when such lovely fresh fruits are so readily available.

The service was attentive, and the atmosphere good. However, the food was rather too salty for my taste - you can always add salt if you require more, but you cannot take it away! I was tempted here by seeing cuttlefish on the menu, which I usually love. This time was different though, since the fish was stuffed with something which just tasted of salt, and spoiled the dish for me.

Service is correct, fast. Quality is very good for such a price, rooms are clean, breakfast is a bit basic and very continental (or french as you want). Rooms are very simple, don't expert anything over the minimum.

Absolutely agree with the reviewer who described the hotel as soulless. The good things: location, 5 mins walk from the centre, plenty of parking, spotlessly clean, decent breakfast, reasonable price, The beds were comfortable and it has what you need for a night or two but the rooms are as stark as they appear on the website. There is no one on reception and one has the feeling that the restaurant is what's important. Reporting to the barman that the basin tap wasn't working properly had no effect. We didn't eat in the restaurant. We had room 18, on the ground floor of the adjoining annexe, with a wet room apparently designed for disabled people. I suspect a disabled person would find it as inconvenient as we did. There's nowhere to put anything, the automatic basin tap is annoying, the shower makes the whole floor wet and slippery. The room overlooks parked vehicles on the road and has poor storage. I suggest avoid room 18 and request a room on an upper floor, possibly in the main building.

A little more formal dining style. Good service, extensive menu and well cooked and well presented food. Very busy but courses served at reasonably spaced intervals. Seemed quite popular with families. We arrived with no reservation but were shown to a table immediately.

Stayed a couple of nights here, too tired by the end of the day to venture out. Pleasant comfortable room, friendly staff, good wine list with many affordable bottles. Usual prix fixe menus and about a dozen of each of fish and meat specials. Just had a main course each on both nights, all well cooked and tasty but not greatly different to what a good home chef could produce. No problems with anything we ate, just not very exciting, sorry.

I'm focusing on restaurants which provide value for money lunches in and around Mirepoix. Les Minotiers restaurant has a classy feel about it with lots of space and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Maitre'D was very helpful in explaining the menu du jour which we always opt for as a baseline for comparing the budget lunch options at local restaurants. There was no choice but what we had was very pleasant. For starters we had ham stuffed with celeriac in a creamy sauce. Main course "choux farcie" ie. cooked cabbage stuffed with very tasty slightly spicy minced pork. Desert was a lemon tart topped with meringue. We had a carafe of the house red and finished with coffees and the bill for three came to 41€.

A great restaurant with a brilliant lunchtime deal on the "menu du jour". A great, very funny and hospitable Maitre'D and all his staff, and behind the scenes the chefs in the kitchen really know their stuff. There is nothing not to like about the setting, the hospitality, the food, the ambiance and the price. If only we had places like this in England. Well done to all the team at Les Minotiers.

We spent an enjoyable evening having dinner with friends at Les Minotiers. Welcome was friendly, tables a big plus in our view as they are round, unusual in France but makes for a much more convivial atmosphere. Although a pleasant room, in my opinion it was far too brightly lit, another thing you found very often here in France.Apéritif orders taken promptly and with a smile. The menus which vary in price from 17 euro basic to a 29,33,and 39 plus a l'carte, plus a children's menu offer a wide choice, probably too much. The 29 to 33 euro menu have an option to add a glass of wine per course at a reasonable price. For 33 euros my Foie Gras with figs was very good and an excellent portion. This was followed by Faux Filet cooked rare and served with Pyrenees cheese melt. The steak was tasty but a little tough. Desert was a Fondant au chocolat, probably not a la maison but none the less very pleasant. The wine list was decent and we enjoyed a good bottle of Blanquette de Limoux and Cab Sav. With coffee all round the bill worked out at 50 euros per head. In 10 yrs living in this area we have never managed to visit Les Minotiers but from this experience we will go again, probably in summer as they have a large outdoor terrace.
