From the moment we discovered this marvelous restaurant, magically perched on the edge of a precipice with incredible views of the caldera with its islands and parked cruise ships, we knew this was an auspicious beginning to our dining experience. Volcano Blue was recommended by the hostess of our Airbnb. We landed on our feet! The physical space is just right - both tasteful and elegant. The service is polite and welcoming. And most importantly, the food is terrific. We started with saganiki with tomato marmalade. Delicious. Deep-fried cheese triangles and the sweet, deep flavour of the marmalade. Then we had the fish soup - full of chunks of fish, in a rich, lentil-hued broth. Delicious. And lastly, papardelle with mussels, clams and shrimp in an intensely-flavoured tomato sauce - light and zesty. Washed down with a bottle of Santorini dry white wine from Gavalas winery in a stunning blue bottle. How rich is that? No desserts, despite their obvious allure - we were too full! Instead, a shot glass of delicious sweet port-like wine was placed in front of us. I defy anyone to leave it untouched. Natalia, daughter of the owner, was welcoming and so friendly and her English was superb. Her presence in the restaurant is an immense part of its charm. And the views! Don't miss this stunning experience!

Santorini is already famous for its breathtaking views, but the volcano blue restaurant I discovered made my experience here truly unforgettable. The spectacular sea view at this restaurant is simply extraordinary. Sipping a glass of chilled wine while enjoying marine delicacies while watching the sunset was a magical moment that I will hardly forget.

After asking if a dish contained raw fish because during pregnancy I was told no .. once arrived at the table the salmon was certainly not cooked but once notified the waiter did not make the problem .. I then had to take another appetizer and when 'arrived the bill was not' made a minimum discount to "remedy".

We stayed at this restaurant for a pleasant couple's dinner, attracted by the positive reviews and the terrace that offers great views to enjoy the sunset.
You can taste the typical dishes of Greek cuisine with particular attention to detail.

Great place to watch the sunset glow over the Caldera in Fira. Although the menu was limited, it still had a reasonable choice and food was of a good standard, quality presented well. The staff were very friendly, attentive and its location offered stunning views and a welcome respite from the heat with the cool evening breezes.

Very loud music, but that's the ambiance of the restaurant. So you need to know this before booking. It's complicated when you're next to the speaker. Excellent dishes, magnificent view with sunset 😍.
too bad we were not able to taste the desserts, the service was only provided until 9 p.m. although we had arrived at 7:30 p.m., but there was a misunderstanding with the waitress who understood that we only wanted to have a drink. We still had a great evening and we recommend this restaurant.

We booked dinner at 6:30pm to catch the sunset in September and it was perfect. No one else was there when we sat down but it eventually filled out. We had the corner table which had a spectacular view of the caldera. Our bottle of local white wine came out promptly and was delicious. We got the Spread Trilogy with pita and Fava with Octopus to start. Both were fantastic. We then got the Grilled Seafood Platter for two and it could have served four. The portions were generous and the quality was top notch. Fantastic bang for the buck here - would highly recommend as a stop for food with a view!

Excellent food, fresh and delicious fish. Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent dishes. We were greeted with a welcome plate with bread to make tarts with a typical sauce. We took a plate of fried calamari with delicious caper sauce. Broad bean purée with grilled octopus, also excellent. The quality/price is also excellent. If I ever return to Santorini I would certainly stay here again. I recommend it!!

We were greeted by the lovely Nathalia who showed us to our rooftop corner table with unobstructed views of the Caldera and the sea beyond. What really stands out is the quality of the food. The steamed mussels cooked in wine are to die for as is the Shrimp Bruschetta which was outstanding. The grilled jumbo shrimps (Not on the menu) and the pasta with mussels were simply heavenly all supported by a very eager team who are prompt courteous and professional. Reasonably priced too for Santorini. Forget the rest and come savor the food and ambiance at this lovely restaurant. We are going again tonight for the 3rd and last time as we’re sadly leaving tomorrow

I visited this restaurant with 2 other friends because of all the good reviews I seen on trip advisor. We ordered one appetizer and 3 meals, but only one appetizer and one dinner out of the 3 came. I couldn’t help but notice 4 white ladies who arrived after our table get their entire meal before ours. (Yes we are black). After waiting for over 25 mins and watching our friend eat her entire meal, we decided to cancel the order and go to another restaurant. When we stated why we were canceling, the host did not even apologize, or ask us if there was anything they could do. I was very shocked by this clearly disrespectful behaviour and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone of colour especially if you’re black! Calamari was just ok, overcooked in my opinion. The seafood salad was a huge portion for the money I must say and it did taste good. But their behaviour is very unprofessional so don’t waste you’re time.

Fantastic food with a wonderful view, particularly if you catch the sunset. The battered cod was delicious and one of the best cooked pieces of fish I've had. The prices are fairly high but relative to Santorini it's still good value. Service and the staff was really attentive and would recommend going here as it was comfortably the best meal we had during our stay on the island.

We followed the recommendation for this restaurant on Trip Advisor for a late lunch in early October on a visit to Fira, we had not made a reservation and were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were made very welcome, with the best restaurant view in Fira, fantastic food and the great service provided by Panos, we could not have asked for anymore. A perfect lunch, a fantastic experience and we will return on our next visit to Santorini. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal with a table at the front of the balcony and an excellent view of the sunset. The food was beautiful ( we had the tomato fritters to star , seafood platter & the beer battered cod as our mains) and we thought the prices were reasonable. There was no rush to finish and the staff were very attentive but not pushy. I’d definitely recommend .

We pre-booked requesting a table at the front and were given a great table in the corner, however it was very close to the next table and we felt like a part of our neighbours’ every conversation. The staff were really good and our waiter was very attentive. Our meals were ok but very average particularly for the price. My eggplant roll starter (13e) was tough and I couldn’t finish it and my husband’s shellfish plate (26e) was overcooked. Our bill came to 132e for 2 starters, 2 mains, a glass of prosecco each, a bottle of wine and water. It was right in the heart of the caldera and had great views but I can’t really recommend the food particularly at their price point. Perhaps we went on the chef's night off.
