The quality of the food and service here is of the highest level I have yet to find. I can't recommend enough enjoying a meal here on the terrace - ask for the Berber pizza! Their tajine is incredible as well.
The best place to stay in gorge de toudgha it's quiet place with panoramic , good service, amazing hospitality, the food is great and nice and clean rooms, open-minded conversation and the best locations. I would like to come back.
Fantastic food, views, and Berber hospitality. We ate delicious beef tagine, chicken skewers, vegetable soup, and homemade bread. After dinner the owner joined us for hot Moroccan tea and told us stories about the Berber people. During the day we walked through the old kasbah...and down by the river along the gardens below the steep cliffs. Highly recommended!More
Delicious Chicken Skewers & Great View from Terrace in December 2020! We are happy to find this restaurant open, and realized that this village of Tizgui (near Todra Gorge) is a great destination during Covid. There has been almost no cases of Covid in the...village and socially distancing is very easy in this beautiful oasis surrounded by rugged mountains.More
Had a great vegetable tagine on the beautiful rooftop terrace, and watched the climbers on Todra Gorge rock face. Then the owner, El Houssaine, offered to take us on a hike to meet the nomads living in caves nearby. What an experience! They were very...welcoming and invited us to sit down with them for tea while the kids played with their goats.More
We dropped by La Petite Gorge Restaurant for lunch, and had an unbelievably delicious chicken tagine. The flavorful chicken was perfectly cooked—it fell off the bones as we dished it onto our plates. In addition, the view of the oasis and surrounding mountains is stunning,...and the service is excellent. Our young server was so warm and welcoming, and the owner took the time to stop by our table for a visit and tell us more about the area. We also viewed a guest room, which was warm and inviting and had windows overlooking the beautiful gorge and old kasbah.More
The Lemon Olive Chicken literally melted in my mouth in a burst of delicious flavor! Accompanied by warm, fresh-baked bread straight from the restaurant’s traditional bread oven and a wonderful salad of fresh organic veggies from the owner’s garden, this was a lunch to remember....We sighed happily as we looked out at the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding rugged mountains and lush green oasis below and knew we would return again and again.
After lunch, we took a walk in the owner’s wonderful garden and explored the 300 year old kasbah (just a 5 minute walk down the path through lush fields and stepping stones across the gentle river). The kasbah is a photographic and historical delight, with warm colours, beautiful lighting, and a few Berber families still living on site who are happy to welcome you.
This area has much more to explore. Next time we will include a stay at the restaurant’s beautiful adjoining boutique hotel !!!More
