This place had great atmosphere. There was a tasting room and restaurant at the entrance and then a pavilion out back with food service and a band (on a Friday night--don't know about other nights). The service was a bit slow--but that was not the...fault of the staff--they were pleasant, apologetic and clearly understaffed. We were okay with it though--since we were enjoying the band and watching all the people dancing. The wine highlight of my Ithaca area trip was the Cayuga White they had here--not too dry, not too sweet--just right! We enjoyed the food--they had several specials, so it felt like there was plenty to choose from. We would go back, for sure.More

We stopped at the cafe for lunch. They had excellent menu options. We both got the Cuban and it was the perfect blend with tons of fresh flavor. My husband chose fries as his side and they were thick cut with sea salt. I opted...for the mixed greens and they were fresh, crisp and the dressing light but flavorful. Our waitress was very nice. Overall excellent food and service.More

Dated cafe in need of a face lift. Sat down and was served treated well water that tasted awful with too much chlorine. This was also noticed by the table next to us. Server had poor attitude and wasn’t thrilled when we mentioned the foul...tasting water. The salad was ok, but fish did not taste fresh. There are much better places to eat further down the road. Don’t stop here for lunch.More

We spent the day touring wineries in the Finger Lakes and had seen reviews on the Americana Vineyard & Winery. The atmosphere was lovely, live music, delicious food, but the process to get the food was horrific. We were told to seat ourselves and chose...a lovely table near the vineyard with live music. We waited and waited to be served, saw wait staff come and go, and I finally had to go inside to see if someone would come to take our order. The woman at the cash was Denali g with another unhappy customer and then left and told me some e else would come to help me. The young woman who had told me to seat myself said that someone (the woman from the cash) would serve me, but I should wave her down and let her know I wanted service. Uh huh. So I did. She took our order and then sent someone else to deliver the wrong order. No apology. She then delivered the correct order, but served my husband 5 min before serving my meal. Then she never returned to our table despite being at other tables close to ours. I had to take my plate to the cash (where I found her once again) to ask for a to go container. No apology. She asked if I wanted my bill. Uh huh. Then the only options were to leave at 15% tip or more. Still no apology or acknowledgement of the terrible service. Appalling. I would never go back. Totally oblivious to what a truly terrible server she was, and zero personality. Get a new line of work. The service industry is not for you ma’am. Would never return to this winery.More

Just visited Americanna Winery today and had a late lunch in their Cafe’.......we had their burger and fries and the grilled cheese sandwich with their homade New England Clam Chowder. We were greeted by the manager and seated promptly. I ordered my burger medium rare...and it actually came out that way and was delicious. Their new, thicker fries were also tasty. My friend said the grilled cheese was the best he had ever had and the chowder was thick and flavorful! We will come back......cant wait till I can sit outside and eat!More

Over from England visiting friends in Ithaca for a few days and we had lunch here. Ordered chicken with biscuit and when it arrived, the biscuit was warm but the rest of the food was cold. My friend had the mac cheese with lobster which...I tried and found to be delicious, so I asked if my chicken and biscuit meal be replaced by the mac and cheese. The meal arrived after my friends had finished eating and the waitress seemed to take great delight in telling me that it was very hot more than once. The dish it was served in was extremely hot and there was steam rising from the food. The food had obviously been heated to a high temperature and for some length of time - the pasta was quite tasteless and dry. The staff were obviously put out that I had dared to not only complain about a meal that was cold but also ask for something different. Such a shame. My friends had eaten there before but will not be returning and will not recommend the Cafe to any of their friends.More

This is a café attached to a winery and the view may be wonderful and the area worth the drive but paying more than ten bucks for a plate of soggy French toast with artificially flavored maple syrup and canned whipped cream is never a...good deal. Adding limp slivers of overcooked apple does nothing to boost the value. Clam chowder in a bread bowl was another miss by a large margin. The bread bowl was shallow and the chowder was mostly large chunks of potato with minced canned clams and a tasteless, milk, cream and butterless broth. Nearly ten dollars for that as well! Service was wonderful, absolutely. The wines are good and there are some interesting condiments on sale but until the food improves- stop eleswhere for a meal. We do not plan to return.More

My family rents a lake house on Seneca Lake every year and we always make sure to stop here for the five-cheese grilled cheese- it is really good! They also always have a couple of decent vegetarian options. The service is sometimes a bit slow,...but it's a good place to start with a glass of Americana's wine/beer and enjoy the view. The winery also has two resident dogs who sometimes make the rounds looking for handouts or crumbs and, being a dog lover, this makes me like it here even more.More

The view was second to none. The food was delicious but the music was HORRIBLE. Classic Rock on Satellite Radio could not have been more inappropriate for the idyllic setting.

I don’t know how the cafe keeps coming up with new salads.......I just had the most wonderfull tasty salad consisting of mixed greens, mango, hard boiled eggs, red onions and grilled chicken with a cilantro lime glaze. Where else can you listen to a great...band outdoors, with friends, beer , wine, and great food!! The service, as always was great!More

We have had meals at Crystal Lake Cafe 4 times and have been impressed by the quality of the dishes as well as the friendly staff and rural setting. They frequently have live music, outdoor seating, and a wonderful winery and tasting room right next...door. We recommend the Americana Vineyard and the Crystal Lake Cafe to all of the guests we have at our AirBnB.More

Me and a few girlfriends found this place on the way back from Taughannock Falls State Park this last weekend on 7/28/18. At first we were a little put off by the hostess who seemed annoyed that we were asking for a table. She stood...there with her head resting on her hand and kind of rolled her eyes and told us they just sat four tables so it would be a minute. Then she told us we could go ahead and just find ourselves a table on the front porch. There were 5 of us and 2 open tables with 4 chairs each. So as I was pulling up a chair from the other open table, a waitress walked by and said “maybe you should wait for the hostess to seat you.” I explained we were just told by the hostess to go ahead and find our own seat. We were all a little put off by this experience and questioned our decision to stay and eat. However, our server Matt immediately brought us water for the table without even asking and was very prompt in taking our drink/food order. He was very helplful explaining things on the menu and answered all of our questions very patiently. One of the items on the specials was “The Matt” - a black bean burger with cheddar & jalapeños. Myself and 2 other girlfriends ordered this and let me tell you...the MOST AMAZING burger ever!! Matt stated that the cafe allows their employees to pick the specials for the week and this was his week. He also came up with the idea for this burger. It was incredible!! I would’ve paid for the recipe! Also, had the cup of mushroom soup, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. The charcuterie platter was fantastic. Matt and the food made a terrible beginning into an amazing dining experience! Also, the wine and beer are fantastic. Definitely highly recommend this place!!More

Stopped at the winery on the way home from a visit to Ithaca and was pleasantly surprised by this great little cafe. Thought it was a snack bar at first but was blown away by the high end menu choices. Kim Chi Fries were the...highlight. - Unique and full of flavor. Offers outside seating and a visit from the friendly vineyard dogs. Very relaxing atmosphere. Even if you don’t like wine, this cafe is worth the trip by itself.More
