Customer service needs improvement. They have two doors and a customer walked in and they screamed at him to use the other door. Then he comes in they tell him to wait outside only four customers at a time. This was all with an attitude....This made me very uncomfortable. Worst experience ever. That is the last time I will be going to this restaurant. They should be grateful that they actually have customers. I understand the covid rules but it should of been delivered in a customer friendly tone. The environment was very hostile. I actually lost my appetite.More

Have been there many times over the years. Nothing to rave about but very satisfying. They deliver all they claim to. Great assortment of complimentary toppings for your burger. Good onion rings too.

The Windmill is the real deal for quality fast food. Located in the West End neighborhood of Long Branch, I love the burgers, fries and hot dogs cooked to order immediately in front of you in the amazingly small, windmill shaped, counter restaurant! For over...fifty years folks from near and far have come again and again to this VERY special little place. Ingredients are top notch and consistency is king here...every dog, burger and order of fries still tastes exactly like it did when I had my first "windmill" some fifty years ago! We now take our granddaughters to this birthplace of the chain (several others serve up the same delicious food)...out of homage to the way things once were...but still are in West End. Regulars debate whether the spin-offs can replicate the original's awesome taste...we ourselves prefer the original...but we readily accept the other spots' cooking when in need! Go there!!!More

Hot Dog and fries well done for both. Drove an hour just to eat there. I like mine with a little mustard that’s it. Its all about the hot dog. My husband loads his up with everything. Service is always good and friendly. If you...go when it’s not to busy you can grab a stool and eat in. Burgers are great too. There is still a rivalry between The Windmill and Maxes. I will vote Windmill every time.More

I don’t eat a lot of hotdogs but when the urge hits there is no better place than the Windmill. Love the grilled Sabrett dogs on a toasted bun.

I love the Windmill I have been coming here for over 30 years. I'm talking about the original one in West End with the wind mill . Sean and his brothers They make the best medium rare cheeseburgers around. The workers really do a great...job there. Of course the hot dogs are amazing. I love the crispy chicken sandwich and their cheese steak is amazing to, The fried mushrooms and the cheese fries or extremely addicting...... It's open late night the crew there will be happy to make you a delicious medium rare or however you like cheeseburger to your liking. Thanks Sean you're the best... I'll see you soon...More

Sunday night 9 ish may as well have been three in the morning, nothing open locally, so where to go, the Windmill of course, the dogs have that tell tale snap when you bite into it, very well prepared, traditional spot, the original, as for...the chilli cheese fries and cheese fries, OMG worth the visit alone. The servers were very entertaining too, seemed to be really proud of the history here, when we asked they told us all about the Windmill story. Will be back...More
