There were about 12 of of on business. Everybody enjoyed their meal or appetizer. The beers seemed to be the hit with loads to try. The waitress amazingly kept track of all food drinks and cost Not an easy feat with a demanding group. Great...job😉More

Pinecrest is a relatively new mixed-use development in Cleveland's Eastern Suburbs. It has a number of restaurants, and we like checking them out. So, another couple called and suggested an early dinner ... at Pinecrest. Having not yet visited City Works, we decided to give...it a try. Other reviews talked about decent food quality, but a noisy atmosphere. At 4:00pm, how noisy could it be? You wouldn't believe! At 4:00pm, our group of four brought the total number of customers to 10! Seating comes in two options: high-top tables; booths. We're all short, so we chose a booth. BAD CHOICE. There seems to be only one size, and they're huge; too huge to exchange food across without passing along. And people of normal size would need 4-5 pillows behind them in order to get close enough to the table to comfortably eat. Then there's the noise. If I were to write what I really feel, this review would be prohibited because of extreme profanity. Back to the noise; remember, I said there were a total of ten customers. Anyway, the place blared of contemporary music videos ... so loud, I couldn't hear the person next to me, let alone the person across the Continent - er table. We asked a server if it could be turned down. He said he'd try. He went to the hostess; you could see her shake her head no. She then went to the console and pretended to reduce the volume. She didn't! I went up and asked again. She told me she'd already lowered it. She lied! She then said they're a Sports' Bar and the company insists on it being loud. Did I mention that it wasn't sports playing - it was Music Videos. Did I mention there were only 10 total customers, all seeming to be trying to talk. Okay, you want to know about the food. Decent bar food; a little over-priced; fair quantities; tasted okay but nothing special. Drink specials that weren't that special, but quite over-priced for what we got. Service was good and bad. Our waiter was also the bartender. Go figure. He takes a drinks and appetizer order. He brings the drinks. Someone else brings the appetizers ... without serving utensils. We asked for them; didn't get them. The waiter/bartender comes around and we ask him for utensils; didn't get them. We finally stopped some other employee who finally did deliver them. Unfortunately, by then the food was getting cold. We ate and left. We couldn't have a conversation over the blaring din. The cost, for four people, eight total ... nothing special ... drinks -- $190.00 / not including tip. And, once we left, the total customer count was left at ... wait for it ... SEVEN! For us this was, without a doubt, a one-and-done experience. I've already communicated with the restaurant; surprise - no response. But, now to worry, I've heard this place is planning to close soon. And they should. A taco restaurant next door was packed; so were the bowling-themed restaurant and the steakhouse two-minute walks away. Sorry for all these terrible reviews. But, for nearly $200.00, I expect at least decent. When I don't get it, I let the world know.More

We just wanted to experience the new restaurant, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers. Bartender was great, food and drinks were great. We'd most certainly go back.

The food was good but the service was awful. We wait 20/30 minutes before someone came and took our order. We even ask another server if she could find ours. The place wasn't even busy. Then trying to get a refill of water or another...cocktail was extremely painful, not to mention getting ou bill.More

Seven of us went for lunch and drinks on a Sunday afternoon. We were not disappointed. The menu had three vegan choices and plenty of variety for vegetarians and meat eaters. The Bloody Mary’s were crazy with garnishes that included a Slim Jim. The beer...list is extensive. I had tuna poke tacos which were a little different than I expected I the tuna was diced and possibly raw. Nonetheless it was very good. I liked that the side was a cold salad of black beans, corn and spices rather than fries. The fish and chips had a very interesting vinegar powder. I’d return.More

Wasn't quite what we expected? Was described as a pub, but doesn't have a pub feel. Very big open space, lots of light, had a more cafeteria feel than a pub feel. Big huge wall above the bar area full of TV screens. So I...suppose between that and the huge beer menu that is where the pub ambiance should be coming from? We continued to be surprised and delightfully so when we had our meal and it was delicious!!!! The burger was great! The fish and chips were very good! The ribs were good! The food was really good, and sure the place is a little loud and noisy, but it was fun, and the food was great, so we will definitely be back!More

Craft beer lovers will enjoy the beer menu, first. Appetizers are appropriately labeled when the portions are enough to share. Looking for an early, light dinner, we ordered fish tacos and short rib taco’s. The fish taco’s (3) were very filling. Fries came with the...order. The short rib taco’s were on a specials type menu and were smoked and lightly bbq’d. A side relish cup of pickled corn, onion and hot peppers was perfectly paired up with this dish. We left before 6:00 p.m. and for a Wednesday evening, it was starting to get a lot more patrons. Very open setting with many TV’s. Many offerings on the menu, light hand holds and full entrees—so all kinds of appetites can be accommodated. Parking area was full. So expect to walk a little distance, unless you get lucky and find a parking spot nearby.More

I came here for a pre-meeting dinner with co-worikers and the speaker. We were able to get a side room for a bit of privacy which was nice. Food wise everyone was quite pleased with their choices, from Salmon to Ribs to a BBQ Chicken...Salad and my Shrimp Tacos. I was trying to decide on the Fish or Shrimp Tacos and the waitress quickly answered the Shrimp Tacos and they were excellent. We had a couple of appetizers and they were good as well. Our waitress was good when she was around unfortunately she disappeared for a while on a couple of occasions. Dinners were between $12 to $23 so depending on your order could put you in the Mid Range or Fine Dining price range.More
