Shipwrecked is fairly new but this is their second season and they should have a better handle on running a kitchen. We absolutely love the upgraded appearance from the former BBC, but we don't go to a restaurant based on the decor, we go to enjoy a good meal, good service, and enjoyable atmosphere. The atmosphere was great, the food was very good. The major complaint we have is how long it takes to get your food. Our first visit while we were in Falmouth was for lunch and it was just my wife and I. We sat outside on a long bar/counter along the road facing the beach. It is incredible as far as the view is concerned. There were only a few people seated when we arrived. We ordered drinks and our meal. The drinks came without delay. Many other people filled the seating while we waited for our lunch. Everybody around us that arrived and ordered long after us, were getting their meals as we continued to wait (the couple next to us that were seated after us had eaten, paid and left, while we still waited) we asked our server what was the problem. He said they had just switched to their new menu and the kitchen was swamped. To us, that had watched others that arrived after us getting their meals, it was an excuse and not a very good one. When we thanked the person that finally brought us our meal and asked him why it took so long, he made light of it saying he was going to fire our server. We went later in the week with my brother and sister-in-law for dinner and the long wait to get our food was the same. As much as we love the location, the view, and the food when it finally arrives, we are hesitant to return when there are so many other options in the area.

This location is prime beachfront property so you can enjoy dinner overlooking the ocean without paying an arm and a leg like the restaurant across the street. Since it’s reasonably priced with a vast menu to choose this is a hot spot and can get very busy quickly. There are not many restaurants to choose from if you’re looking for one in walking distance down Falmouth heights but this is the best choice for a decent meal. They have indoor and outdoor seating and our waitress was genuinely attentive and sweet even with a packed restaurant. The swordfish was a bit on the smaller side but delicious. The drinks were average cost for the area and went down easy. They offered a good assortment of options without fluff and circumstance which is why we opted to dine here for our first night as tourists in our own state. We would recommend if you have a large party make sure they’re all there before trying to be a table as you will mot be seated without everyone being present. They’re on top of many B&B’s which makes it pack in quickly when no one wants to drive.

One of our traditional afternoons/evenings out is to patronize the British Beer Company, on the waterfront, in Falmouth. We were sad to see it was no longer there (after many years), but was now a restaurant called "Shipwrecked." The name alone suggests Seafood & we were happy to try this new place. They had very few "seafood" dishes, mostly fish. The food was average tasting - nothing outstanding; prices were also average. The Server we had was quite nice and attentive, The atmosphere was just not the same as the BBC - and we missed that. We did have a bit of an issue of our arrival, as we have mobility issues; one needing a cane & one a walker. There is a double-door entry (as with many restaurants). This one is very small with hardly room for 2 people and a walker. We struggled to get 1 door open, step inside & access the 2nd door. We look inside and straight ahead were 3 employees all talking & laughing & they looked right at us & didn't take one step to assist us entering. I'd suggest looking elsewhere; the only thing this place really has going for it: the beautiful ocean views, however, you can get those views elsewhere & with better food.

I've tried fish tacos all over Cape Cod, and these stood up to any competitors. I typically don't like battered-fried fish, preferring broiled. However, my husband and I took a chance, with good results: The cod was firm yet moist and flaky, with a tasty crisp "shell" of batter and a smattering of pickled cabbage. My twin tacos came with a generous helping of creamy, perfectly prepared cole slaw on the side; my husband loved his waffle fries. We sat at the window overlooking the beach with a view of Martha's Vineyard on the horizon. (Paid) parking was ample on a sunny, busy Friday afternoon in mid-October. We'll be back!

We’ve been visiting this restaurant for years - as BBC and then Shipwrecked when they bought it last year. They just reopened after months of renovations and we are very disappointed with the menu and atmosphere. It is clean and attractive but they play the music extremely loudly to the point where we couldn’t even talk. And the menu has been pared way back to offer mostly bar food and and a large sushi menu. It appears as though they are trying to appeal to a very different crowd - young partiers perhaps. If you like a loud restaurant with bar food, pizza and sushi - this place is for you. If you want great American sandwiches and entrees in an environment where you can enjoy each other’s company you should go somewhere else. Sadly, we live right down the street but we will be going elsewhere.

This place is very disorganized. We waited an hour for an outdoor table. We were out all the way in the back, in gravel by a parking lot. Didn’t know that was an option or we would have eaten inside.
Service was terrible. Very, very slow. It was 20 minutes before we even had water or were able to order drinks. The mixed drinks were not great. But the Raspberry Mimosa was awful. It came out dark red as it was mostly raspberry liquid and very little Prosecco. It was sickeningly sweet. We asked to return it after tasting it, and just order the Prosecco. But the waitress said that their policy was that they could not take it off the bill, so we paid for both so we could drink a cocktail.
We had to remind her of our appetizers three times. She also spilled drinks on one person in our party.
Tables around us were having similar experiences even with different waitresses.
The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the food, once we finally got it, was really good. We got the shrimp and cod and the seafood was very fresh. The sushi was also excellent. It’s a shame the service was so bad. The good food wasn’t worth the hassle. We won’t be back.

Just spent three nights in East Falmouth at the InnSeason Surfside down the road and enjoyed dinner twice at Shipwrecked, it was not only convenient but also delicious food! The nachos were amazing... very generous portion too. Steak teriyaki was excellent. My daughter and I shared their enormous pretzel.. when we were waiting for our table and she saw one of the servers walk by with it, she decided we had to try it. Great vibe here. My only recommendation is to come early. Like so many places these days, they are short staffed so we had about an hour wait both times. The first night we used that time to check into our hotel then came back an hour later and our table was ready in a few minutes. Love the location, directly across the street from the ocean. Highly recommend!

Bad taste, missing items. They don’t give a ship about you. Started with rude Boomer in rear parking for pick up. Phone ordered two fish and chips w/ Onion Rings. Girl promised to include tools as we were on the beach. They not only forgot forks and napkins. They also forgot to include tarter sauce, ketchup, and to change the oil in the fryer rbis month. The fish tasted burnt and bitter. Had to eat fish dry w / my hands and without tarter sauce. Nice location if you are by the beach. If your hungry; Go to McDonalds first and maybe sit down for a cocktail instead. Probably gone next year like the British Beer works that it replaced.

This is a restaurant, not a bar, not a pub, but a true restaurant ! Their food is professionally prepared from the appetizers to the entrees. They change their menu seasonally, so there is always something new to try. Right now, I am enamored of their chicken pot pie, a wonderful Winter comfort food. Along with the great food, their help, workers, employees, whatever you choose to call them couldn't be more accommodating, and friendly ! I live in Falmouth, so I get to enjoy this "year-round" restaurant in the off season as well.

I visited Shipwrecked with a friend in July for dinner. The restaurant was very busy, but we were able to get a seat inside on the bar side of the restaurant. The location used to be a British Beer Company. Although we wanted to eat outside, there was a very long wait since it was a nice summer day. Although the food took a while to come out, it was very good! The bartender was basically having to take care of the entire bar and tables on that side, but he was really hustling around! I had a Mudslide and it was really good! All in all a good experience. Hopefully I will be able to eat outside next time as it looked really nice!

Another mediocre restaurant resting on it's location. We rarely go to restaurants that don't take reservations or at least call ahead seating which usually means poor management. We had 7 people which meant a pretty long wait, with no place to stand except outside where it was raining, into our cars to wait for a text. Food and service were ok but very, very LOUD, Too many other choices, we won't be back. It was a Thursday night so?

This was my second visit, and I'll request to my friends that we skip it next time. We shared an appetizer of Chicken Wings (nothing to write home about), Fish & Chip (very expensive for what we received, which was a small portion of fish and fries only ok), and Mac & Cheese with pulled pork (also expensive for what it was, and not worth it. We all had Peartinis, which were not that tasty. We did have a short wait for a table, even though there were tables available (Sunday night).

We went for lunch on a Thursday in September. The weather was nice and we sat outside and a great view of Vineyard Sound. Our waiter was excellent and very on point. The menu had a great mix of dishes. I had the ultimate fish sandwich and I was very impressed. The cod was a thick piece and not heavily battered. The sauce had a little spice to it that worked well with the sandwich. We had heard good things and would definitely recommend it!

food and drinks were great service/staff not so much.
they just seemed to do enough to get by.
every time you asked them something they made it seem like it was a bother.
parking is very limited so as to not make my wife walk a far distance i dropped here off to get us table while i parked. well the hostess wasn't having this everyone in your party has to be here hostess tells her. wife points at me in the car outside and said he's parking the car, hostess answers everyone in the party must be here for me to seat you. it wasn't busy at all, when i came in i went to hostess and said party of 2 she she asked again where's the other person i pointed to my wife sitting behind us in the chairs. the hostess proceeds to give me 2 menus and points at a table by the window and says you can sit there, very unprofessional. food was great. this was a lunch visit.

Where else can you sit at a barstool and watch the action on the beach across the street? We went on a Sunday afternoon, listened to live entertainment( guitar guy), and watched the Sox beat the Yankees on the outdoor TV. Falmouth doesn't have many fun outdoorsy spots with a fun youthful vibe. Go for a margarita or beer and chill out. You don't go there for the food, but it's acceptable.
