Not everyone wants to raid their retirement account to purchase overpriced cheese. But if you think its worth it nice selection and helpful staff.More

As the owner I'm very sorry you feel this way and had a bad experiance. The best cheese in the world cost more to produce, and without shops like ours support, artisan producers would fall to large scale mass production tasteless, soulless but cheaper products....More

I don't know a lot about cheese except that it is yummy! These guys know a great deal but are so patient with newbies. They always help us find something wonderful. Great place to stop off for a cheese plate as well!

It's a good thing I live about 8 hours from here because one or two trips a year when I'm in the area is all I can afford. (And by "in the area," I'll use anything within about a 3-hour radius as excuse to visit)....This is an amazing cheese shop. I can't speak to the menu items, and I rarely pay much attention to the wine or other gourmet food items. I'm sure they're well selected, but the cheese has my full attention every time. I know a little about good cheeses but only a very little. What I love here is how informed the cheesemongers are and how willing they are to talk you through selections and alternatives. They know their stuff. No attitude. And they don't hesitate to slice off a big sample. It's a deceivingly small cheese case, but everything in there is special. I also highly recommend the house pate. Hard to find charcuterie like that around.More
