We were a group of 4 for breakfast and were seated quickly at 8:15 am. Big menu. However, the food quality was just average. The potato pancakes are mini ones, which is really a surprise. Got skillet potato and egg dish (Greek style), but very...little feta or tomato in it -- a lot of tough potatoes to try to cut through. The wait staff was nice, and the price was reasonable, but I would not go back as no one liked what they had.More

I was by myself and ate at the bar. The bartender and the host were great and I had great service. I had the chicken pot pie - it was good, but nothing I would consider out of the ballpark. I forget that a lot...of midwestern food has little to no seasoning, so while it was good, it could have used some more flavor. Expensive for what it was.More

Friendly service, yummy breakfast and a great cup of regularly topped-up coffee. The building is a conversation starter.

I found the cafe on Google maps and glad I did. This cafe is located in the first floor of a historical building and it was neat that the seating was able to spill out of the cafe and into the open space of the...lobby of the building. My eggs were not overdone and the coffee delicious.More

Hidden Gem! TripAdvisor search for breakfast in Chicago. Liked the menu so we took the walk to Washington street on a beautiful Sunday morning. The Pittsfield building was the tallest building in Chicago when it was built in 1927. Walking in we weren’t sure until...we turned the corner. Obviously a popular spot with locals. We only waited a few minutes for our table. Speedy, friendly service. Corned beef hash skillet was very tasty. Only weak spot was the coffee. Pricey and not the best. We will be back though. Other things to try on the menu. Close to Millennium Park and Millennium stationMore

I will just say apple pancakes that were like eating an apple soufflé. Amazing. I will add: Great service. Great location. Cool building.

I was the first customer of the day and had a basic breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns and OJ. The service was OK and the food was decent, although the hash browns were soggy.

It's in a very convenient location, and is in a beautiful building. It has typical diner fare, but doesn't provide it very well. Service was slow and inattentive. The food was ok, but nothing special. Same goes for the coffee.
