I finally had the seafood cobb salad. It was delicious. I had shrimp and lump crab meat for my choice of seafood. It came with avocado ,bacon, tomatoes, and blue cheese crumbles. The wait was 2.5 hours so I decided to do curb side pick up. It was ready in 30 minutes. This is my fourth time eating here. It has never disappointed me.

I let my husband & father pick where we would go for Father’s Day & this is where we ended up. Alex, our waitress, was very nice & engaging & even laughed at my dad’s corny jokes, even though I told her she didn’t have to. We ordered a lot of food, too much to name , but everything was delicious except the seafood pasta. It had 2 pounds of pasta with 2 pieces of shrimp & 2 scallops. I was very disappointed, but Alex took it back immediately & brought me something else which I loved. I’m not a huge seafood fan, but I’d recommend this location for other seafood lovers. My husband & dad were pleased with their food.

Still my favorite restaurant, but why on earth did they take bread pudding, one of their signature dishes, off the menu??!! I just ate there and my server said that not a single day has passed since they stopped serving it, that she hasn’t had at least one customer try to order it. It just makes no sense. Not a dealbreaker, at least not for me, as to whether I go or not since I only eat seafood, but it sure would be nice to top it off with their wonderful bread pudding for desert or to take home.

I'm not the best person to review Pappadeaux because I have a seafood allergy. The only thing I'm suppose to be able to eat is shrimp but I did on this trip get the stuffed shrimp along with the stuffed crab. The stuffed shrimp had the same stuffing around it as in the stuffed crab. I thought that was odd because the stuffing was made with crab meat. The shrimp were small. You get 2 shrimp for $13 and 4 shrimp for $22. Not worth it in my opinion. I was only going to get two shrimp with a baked potato but the waiter suggested a special with stuffed crab and stuffed shrimp. The two together with the baked potato came to $30 (OUCH...my fault for not asking the price). The meal was ok but the company was the main attraction as we celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday. I feel that Pappadeaux is a little pricey but they are consistantly packed almost everyday and especially on the weekends. We had a party of 20. The service was ok. They (the waiters) were attentive in the beginning but it started to slow down in the middle and definitely at the end of the meal. We started with two servers then ended with just one. I go to Pappadeaux maybe once a year and that's only because that seems to be the only place certain family members like to go for outings and special occasions. If it were me, I'd go elsewhere. Oh and if you want a certain item, stick to your guns and only select what you want. The waiters definitely try to upsell you! So BEWARE because you will definitely have sticker shock when the bill arrives if you're not careful. Lastly, if you're not a big eater, select options from the kids menu. You get just as much food as if you were to order from the adult menu at a much cheaper price. P.S. If you haven't already, sign up for the E-club, do so. First time subscribers get a free appetizer coupon sent to your email (make sure you print the email and take it with you on your visit). You have to purchase two adult meals in order to get the free appetizer.

Six of us went to PD to celebrate our various birthdays. I ordered Maine lobster, and my friend ordered a Po-Boy sandwich. The food arrived in an average to timely manner, but the french fries were cold. My lobster should have had drawn butter, a bib, lobster picks, and a nut/claw cracker delivered with the lobster. None of this occurred. Being from Maine and having eaten my fair share of lobsters, I know what should have been on hand. I had to ask for the proper tools to eat my lobster. I requested the proper utensils, but it was well over five minutes before my butter arrived. After the majority of my lobster was eaten, the server arrived with a plastic claw pick. REALY? Also the server did not come back to ask about our meal until the majority of the party had finished their food. Although the server was sort of friendly, she did not go out of her way to display any enthusiasm of us being there. It was almost the attitude of, "oh well, just another bunch of folks to wait on, and get out of my way". On the plus side for the server, I let her know that I could not have wheat products due to alergies, and she suggested a vegetable replacement. However,it too was cool and not overly heated to proper serving temperature. This is not the fault of the server as far as I can tell. It seems that the kitchen staff needs to get on the ball. PD also needs to review Maine lobster serving methods and get with the program.
If I do ever eat there again, I will not be ordering lobster,

I lived on the Gulf Coast and am very familiar with Louisiana style food. Maybe, this is as close as you can get to New Orleans in Hotlanta? The patio area is neat, loved the brick work. The inside has nice ambiance and a great feel. My husband went with the Texas Redfish Pontchartrain. The fish arrived with large shrimp on it and some lump crab meat and dirty rice. The dish wasn't hot and we can only guess was pre-cooked, seemed flat and like it wasn't that fresh. The "Louisiana" flavor was lacking, though it talks of a brown-butter wine sauce, which didn't have much flavor. I had the Pappadeaux Platter, which is their seafood platter with extra fried shrimp and crawfish. The crawfish weren't hot, however, the catfish was what I could write home about...and was delicious (and what I decided I wanted). The best thing on the plate though, isn't something that was on my radar and it had a stuffed shrimp! They really should have this stuffed shrimp as an appetizer or entree, it was DELICIOUS and I'm guessing it is overlooked! Service was somewhat lacking to us, very slow for drinks, then the food arrived quickly but not terribly hot, took forever to receive extra tartar sauce and then to finally check out. They were fairly busy for a Monday at dinner in our opinion, 45 min wait. Masks required, social distancing, everyone being considerate. Overall, I left very full, but really I cannot overly recommend it for the price. If you are wanting Mississippi fried catfish, then this may suit your fancy!

We have visited this location several times and have enjoyed our past experiences. However, after my recent visit I will NOT ever return. One of the managers was extremely rude upon arrival. She was very unprofessional. It was apparent that many employees at this location could care less about offering good service to their customers. After waiting 2 hours and 40 minutes I expect exceptional service. Our waiter was slow and we continuously had to ask for drink refills. Food was cold and quality of food has definitely declined. As we were leaving, several other customers were having issues at the hostess stand. Pappadeaux will soon be a thing of the past if hospitality and food doesn't change. Many other great seafood restaurants in Atlanta and metro area. Don't waste your time or money at this location.

For at least 15 years I have done everything I could to eat at a Pappadeaux when traveling... San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, even leaving a hospital ward when I probably shouldn't have. So, was driving through Atlanta and ordered three items for pick up (covid-19 period). Medium fried alligator for $17.80; bowl of shrimp gumbo for 13.60, and the Texas Redfish & Crab for 39.95. I knew it was pricey, convinced my wife that it would be worth it. Maybe I'm being picky but the portions really seamed small for the price. Pictures included, judge for yourself. Oh... ordered online for pickup 45 minutes later and had to wait about 10 minutes after arriving.

You can always depend on Pappadeaux’s Seafood Kitchen. While visiting ATL on New Years Eve we stopped by for lunch on our way home. We arrived around 11:30 and was immediately seated with a party of 8 (a first for us) and as always everything came out hot, fresh and fast. Thank you to Pappadeaux’s for always being consistent in fresh, delicious and wonderful service

Went there on a Monday night. Surprisingly busy. Wait for a table was not as long as they told us. Wait for a server was longer, about 20 minutes, we almost walked out. Once they gave us a server, he was great.
Wife had seafood Cobb salad, with shrimp and crab. That was a good choice, but $25. It's huge, two people could split it with maybe an appetizer. I had shrimp and grits. Should have known it would not be traditional. Too spicy, lots of overcooked large shrimp and short on grits, which were just ok. Maybe try something else, avoid this.
Very noisy and cold in the dining room. Good for an active group, I suppose. Drinks were good but expensive. Try the Whiskey Smash.

We went in and were seated immediately. Looking at the prices on the menu they are out of their everloving minds. Everything on the menu is stupid expensive $50-90 per plate for everything I looked at. I’ve ate here before and it wasn’t that expensive and certainly not good enough to justify these prices. Today was no different the service was deplorable 20 minutes after being seated no one had even taken our drink orders. We finally walked out, not paying those prices for the level of service we received.

I've attempted to eat here a few times on previous visits to Atlanta but the wait time was ridiculous. This time, I came on a Thursday and was seated immediately. The lobster and crab dip was extremely salted 😔 but my main course was SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!!! MORE than enough for me. I also had the Baton Bellini which was excellent.

Had the best congenial server, Marie. Great service, food was excellent, restaurant very nice, parking great. What more can you ask?
I had the salmon w/ ginger and my coworker had the shrimp and grits. Real food, good food, not overly dependent on butter, oil, sweet, fat (let the food speak for itself because it can!). And I had the $6.99 salad. So good, fresh, nicely made.

My hubby and I visited Pappadeaux’s during an overnight stay in Marietta. We ordered curbside carry out. Dia took our order over the phone. She was so thorough. I have a gluten allergy and needed to verify my order was a safe choice. Dia was willing to place us on hold, go to the kitchen and verify with the chef that my order was gluten-free. I truly appreciated that attention to detail.
The text messaging system worked well with keeping us abreast of when our order was completed and when the staff would bring it to our car.
Nya brought out our order. She was very polite and conversational asking how we were doing. We had a brief conversation with her, her happy demeanor shined through her masked face. She is a go-getter for sure!

We were in the restaurant for 2 hours. Waited 30 minutes just to get a table, water in 10 minutes, ordered wine which took 20 minutes. The servers were handing off, shift change. It took 45 minute to get our food. Basically fried with alot of french fries. The drinks 1 rum and 1 wine were way over priced. We would have been better off at Captain D's considering the over $100 dollars for dinner and $20 dollars for 1 beer and 1 rum&coke at the bar. We spent for a Medium Fried Crawfish Dinner 21.95 and Fried Seafood planter $38.95. ...very over priced! Definitely not worth our time or money.
