Great local place, very informal and unassuming, with great food and sandwiches. Menu is not overly extensive or fancy, but the food is straightforward and filling. Staff very friendly and helpful as well.
I’ve been here multiple times and every meal has been delicious. Large portions for a fair price, not to mention friendly hard working staff. If you manage to save room the the dessert is a good as it looks!
Too bad they're only open for lunch (closing at 3:00), as they have good food, tasty selections for vegetarians, and wonderful servers. Smart to avoid the noon-hour crowd, as this is a rather small place with a big reputation!
While traveling, we always try new places instead of the same chain restaurants. This place did not disappoint. Delicious bacon pimento cheese melt. Buttery warm toasted white bread ( you choose your bread) and a lot of yummy pimento cheese plus bacon. The best thing...about this sandwich was the pimento cheese was not melted. It still had some coldness to it. Some restaurants completely melt the cheese and I think this causes negative texture and flavor issues. My husband had a Reuben which he said was pretty good. Our son had the peanut butter, marshmallow, and bacon melt on white bread. This sandwich was huge and insanely rich but goooood! Each sandwich was served with a pickle (just a spear out of a jar) and a small bag of Ruffles. Overall excellent lunch. There were delicious looking desserts, but we had no room for them.More
We almost always order "to go" and the staff is careful to make sure the order is correct. Very fresh ingredients and the best thing is you can tell that they actually care about the food and how it is prepared and presented.
