This restaurant is built in an old 1960's gas station, with the lobby and bar in the office area and the dining room in the double bay car service area. There are many photos from around the world decorating the walls. The food is uniquely...outstanding with delicious layers of flavors. Understandably, they are very busy, often with long waits to get a seat. For that reason we arrived for a weekday lunch around 11:30. We we're delighted to be seated immediately and quickly placed our order, then we waited and waited and waited. People who arrived after us received their food, and we still waited. Finally we flagged down our server, who immediately brought out our food. Admittedly, the food was hot, but I do wonder. Anyway, I will tell you what the server told us - if you don't want to wait, arrive at opening time.More

Rico’s is always amazing!! It’s one of our absolute favorites. Rico always takes care to have the best quality control, the freshest ingredients and the most enticing menu items from which to choose. From a great atmosphere, conscientious and gracious staff to incredible food, Rico’s...is always striving for excellence, and it shows both in presentation and in deliciousness. Some of our favorites: the Royal Rooster (*I sub smoked Gouda cheese for the Swiss -yum!), the Chicken Cuban, the Fried Green Tomato Salad and more daily specials than I can list. If they’re serving the Shrimp and Grits with Cajun butter, you better not miss it! The blackened shrimp over smoked Gouda cheese grits and spinach with that tomato Cajun butter is to absolutely die for!! (And I don’t even like cooked spinach!) Another delicious special I had not too long ago was blackened salmon over those Gouda grits with green beans. Oh. My. Word!! All of it. Delicious!! Then, a little while back, Rico catered for one of our events, and the meal was absolutely phenomenal: sliced pork tenderloin with herbs over veggies, grilled chicken over dirty rice with Cajun butter, green beans, mac and cheese and garlic bread. Oh. My. Goodness!! I’m craving it now, just thinking about it!! If you want to experience one of the best meals in town, for miles around, really, make plans to eat at Rico’s World Kitchen. And if there’s a line, just rest assured: it’s well worth the wait!More

We had such a relaxing, fun experience. George was a super friendly, helpful waiter, making sure all my food was gluten free. My husband loved his huge Mojo pork sandwich and I was happy they had gluten-free bread, which I enjoyed on my Cuban chicken...sandwich with amazing sweet potato chips. We shared a delicious creme brûlée beautifully garnished with a strawberry. We would definitely go again!More

We chose Rico's as a fall-back for dinner because our first choice was terrible. We chose wisely (pardon the pun Indiana Jones fans). While the crab cake appetizer is on-par with most restaurants, the fried pork rinds with the vinegar dipping sauce are a knock-out....What a way to take something bland and turn it into something tasty. The wine list isn't deep, but they have some very good reasonably priced wines. I had the Braised Pork Osso Bucco over Andouille Sausage Drunken Beans and Smoked Gouda Grits - spectacular. As it was set down in front of me, the aroma of New Orleans style beans and rice activated my pallet. One of the best meals I have had in recent memory. Service was top-notch. It's a small place, so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but it was worth it.More

Love eating outside so we were very pleased we got seating; beautiful weather and breezy! We ordered the 2 chicken dishes; mine was grilled on a gluten free bun and my daughter's was the Cuban chicken which looked and tasted a lot like pork. We...both really enjoyed what we got. It was tender and full of flavor. So glad to have found Rico's; we will definitely be back!More

Our waiter was so knowledgeable, polite, and thorough that I asked him if he was part of the owner’s family. He was great. Beyond the service though, the food was excellent. Smoked chicken on the Cuban sandwich was amazing. As my wife noted, “something to...write home about.” The sweet potato chips were perfect side items. And......the key lime cake is “to die for”. Highly recommend driving out of your way to get here.More

Every time I go I find something new to love! The food tastes so original and "made with love" - you know it's not a chain. The cheese grits are like nothing I've ever tasted. I don't ordinarily like cheese in my grits but these...tasted like a delightful cheese ball with a smoky, delicious flavor! Unbelievable! And my server, Alex, was also the best!More

We adore Rico’s. During COVID we wanted to support our favorites. We ordered here a couple times to go and it was so good. Normal menu to specials, amazing!

We'd been sheltering/eating at home for more than 2 weeks and decided to order in so as to help keep a local business going. So glad Rico's was the place we decided on. The food was ready on time, brought to the car keeping social...distance, and perfect, even eaten at home.More

We loved everything about this restaurant! Super friendly and efficient staff, wonderful food (ham/Brie sandwich and the chicken sandwich) both amazing! Pretty long wait so we opted to sit at the bar which had no wait. We had a great talk with Mama who makes...all the amazing desserts. We tried 4, eating some there and taking some. (Banana pudding, strawberry cake, banana pudding cake, Boston cream pie) all wonderful and so fresh!! We live 1 1/2 hours away but will make the drive again just for the experience!!More

It is not ideal and it is loud in the restaurant! I do not think they have a separate private dining area....HOWEVER the food is soooo good!!!!
