Following up on a bad review. I appreciate the phone call I received from the manager. It is clear they take every review seriously and want to address any concerns. The experience I had was unfortunate. Management obviously cares about their patrons experience.

My husband and I have dined here before and enjoyed it. However, it is overpriced. The service is horrible. Not what is expected of a high scale restaurant. My food was so cold I had to send it back. Not something I would normally do....They did not bring my meal out until 30 minutes after my husband finished his. The waitress did not come back to see if we needed anything. So disappointed.More

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. A must visit if you’re anywhere near. If you miss a meal here you miss out on what blue ridge mountains are all about. This beautiful restaurant that sits on Main Street of blue ridge is spectacular. You must have...reservations because they stay busy so if you want to guarantee you’ll enjoy this place, make a reservation. The staff is amazing from the time we arrived until the time we left. We arrived 25 minutes early and was informed we could wait to sit inside or sit in the outdoor covered dinning area equipped with heaters and amazing lighting, the temp was 40 degrees but covered outdoor seating was cozy, however we opted to sit inside so we were directed to the bar to sit until our table was ready. We just sat down and they said we just reset a table upstairs in what I’m going to call the “Wine Loft”. If you can sit here it is a private area in the restaurant amongst the wine and it was amazing. Our server, Taylor was absolutely one of the best servers we have had, from recommendations to just phenomenal service. Amazing food if your a steak lover 16 ounce Ribeye with a glass of Caymus Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon is amazing. Appetizers to dessert was phenomenal, we had the pleasure meeting mike who actually was from Mobile, Alabama and played football with my wife’s brother. Then the owner came over and spoke with us. He is truly passionate about his restaurant and his staff, they are like family and treated as such as well as every guest that comes in. Truly amazing, don’t miss out!!!More

Were in the area with 3 other families and had a parents night out. Restaurant is beautiful. Service was prompt and attentive. Was a little cool the night we visited so they moved us inside but had appropriate distancing. The table shared the Calamari and...Brussel Sprouts on the recommendation of the waiter. They did not disappoint. Both were excellent. Enjoyed the surprise spiciness of the deep fried gardinara mixed in with the calamari. I had a Georgia Peach craft bourbon cocktail. All the beers and drinks were excellent. 4 of us had the filet and they were perfectly cooked. Others had the salmon and the duck and they were good as well. Salads are a la carte. Very enjoyable meal in in a great setting.More

We LOVED eating at The Black Sheep during a girls getaway! I was so amazed at the precautions being taken during Covid to distance guests and provide safe service! We were outside by the fire pit and just had the best time. The service was...amazing and the owner, Brandon, came around to check on us. We tried so many plates and drinks, everything was wonderful! Highly recommend!More

We were visiting the area for our anniversary trip. I made reservations ahead of time, which was super easy. Our entire experience was amazing. Our table was outside right by the giant gas fire pit. We had Justin as our server and he was not...only attentive but very personable. Ask for him next time you are there. We started with the pork belly (which was the best we had ever eaten), while we enjoyed craft cocktails. For dinner we chose the diver scallops and risotto and rack of lamb. The flavors were amazing. After dinner and wine, we moved to the indoor bar and were able to meet Patrick and Brandon (the owners) and share our experience with them. We finished our night with rye old fashions and great conversation with the bartenders and other patrons. Definitely a must visit when in the area. We will be back.....with friends, on our next visit.More

Just OK because the menu is nothing special and all the items are way over priced. It never ceases to amaze me that I can make a better meal at home than to go out and over pay for ok food. Service was great, but...that doesn't make up for an ok menu.More
