We really enjoyed our dinner here and were deloighted to find a good choice for vegetarians. The place has a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere and staff were attentive and efficient. We definitely recommend and would return here/.

Visited with a few other couples. We have dined here several times and while we considered it a little pricey the food was good and the service was excellent. My wife and I ordered the full Black & Bleu Flatbread. Other than the mozzarella and...tomatoes the other ingredients were almost nonexistent. We also ordered the Urban Salad for $13. The entire salad came on a small salad plate and was about half the size we had received on other visits. I asked the server if that was really the urban salad and she informed me that it was. The golden raisins and sunflower seeds were skimpy at best. The goat cheese was also almost nonexistent. Service and atmosphere are excellent. Quality and quantity of food, not good. We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years, including at its previous location. However, we were very disappointed with this visit. We cannot recommend it as a good place to dine.More
After Thanksgiving, my husband and I who live in Tampa/Clearwater decided to be “tourists for the weekend” and took ourselves off to Mount Dora. We walked around the town and the water enjoying the fantastic Christmas lights lining the lake, the town, various restaurants and...Donnelly Park, what a wonderful town/city - right out of a Norman Rockwell painting from the Saturday Evening Post - remember that? As members of the Freedom Boat Club, we took a pontoon boat out of Lake Dora to explore the Dora Canal! Everyone should take a boat ride up and back down this tropical wonderland, motor under her 4 bridges and visit the jungle land of giant cypress trees dripping in Spanish Moss - parts of The African Queen with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn were filmed there in 1951 - and for good reason! After that splendid adventure we drove down to Winter Garden as we headed back south to Tampa. Another “Norman Rockwell” painting kind of town and they’d decked the halls for Christmas with beautiful displays being made ready as we walked through the town. With blood sugars dropping, we decided at 2 p.m. that lunch was a necessity and found ourselves at the “Urban On Plant” Kitchen and Bar at 132 W. Plant Street. What a find! The menu was extensive and something for everyone. I opted for the pear/brie/mozzarella flatbread, my husband chose the “flatwich” which was Urban’s version of a calzone but better for you with luscious Mediterranean vegetables and portobello mushrooms, you have to try it to understand how good it was, especially the dough! Everything in their kitchen is made from scratch! And then there was our server, Alex. I hope you get him as your waiter before he becomes a fully fledged lawyer because he is on his way; charming, affable and a real asset to Urban on Plant! He knows how to look after his customers without being intrusive but available! A special “thank you” to the day manager Carlos who treated us to the “signature dessert” of a waffle bread pudding! I would brag more on that but it is really worth the trip to go there and try it for yourself! A great experience at an eatery that really makes an effort to offer the different, unusual and very tasty only matched by the outstanding service!More
Thanks so much. Cheers
Very nice place for lunch. The Korea beef tacos were excellent. One person had a flat bread, on had the hash and one had the avocado toast and one had chicken wrap. . Everyone was very pleased with their food. Service by Christian was outstanding....If you’re in Winter garden give them a try.More
Thanks. Cheers
Went in with best intentions. The wife and I both ordered server recommended options. App comes out. About 1 minute later, entrees come out. I ordered the pork loin chop with mashed sweet potatoes. The mad tasted like someone cooked the potatoes and dumped a...bottle of pancake syrup on it. The pork chop looked like it wasn’t trimmed even the slighted with all the cap fat still intact. Took two bites, each was fattier then the last. Server never asked how the food was so I told her that this may be the worst pork chip I’ve ever had. Ok, sorry you didn’t like it. Not can I get you something else, or I’ll have a manager come over. Nope, here’s your bill for $80 and have a great night. Spend your money elsewhereMore
Noah, After investigating your review, we messed up! We have coached the server to ensure proper procedures are followed, and she is very remorseful. Hopefully this will not happen again. And we have refunded your entire check. Hope you can forgive us and try us...More
The atmosphere was very nice and clean you could eat either outside or inside. Asked about Shrimp and Grits, I was informed it's only on Saturday/Sunday Brunch. My wife had the Mediterranean pizza, the crust wasn't very crispy and the cheese was oily and runny....I had the grain-free burger with everything on it with a salad on the side, and cheese was $2 extra. Burger had to have been 8 inches tall with a spear holding it together. This made a total mess since I could not get my mouth around it. Even though it had everything on it, it was very dry with not much sauce on it. I made such a mess ended up using a fork and knife on it. The side salad was very good, we wouldn't be back.More
Sorry your burger was not prepared properly. If you had told us in the moment, we would have fixed it on the spot. Thank you for the feedback even if it's post visit.
The grouper tacos were wonderful. Sometimes grouper is tough, but they cooked it perfectly! Burger was locally, sourced grass fed, and the taste was better than expected. Sweet potato fries were also great!
Thanks so much. Cheers
Sunday afternoon stroll..Thought we wud try..Delicious Red Snapper blackened tacos and delicious house salad.."Noah" was the highlight..Impeccable service, recommendations and just an absolute professional..How refreshing these days to have any kind of service..let alone such a GREAT server.. We'll be back...
Thanks very much. Cheers
Enjoyed eating here in 2019 and looked forward to another meal. Had the crab cakes which came with baby potatoes and asparagus. All delicious!
Thanks so much. Cheers
Absolutely surprised by the great flavor of the Poke and the fish tacos. All our food, including the salmon dishes were great. Recommend.
Thanks so much Takoh. Cheeres
We used to enjoy this restaurant prior to the pandemic and decided to go there for a family lunch. Unfortunately this restaurant is a far cry from what it used to be. The prices have increased tremendously, which is expected in these inflationary times. However,...along with this, the food quality has deteriorated. My salmon BLT consisted of a dry, overcooked salmon filed on a brioche bun, with a slice of tomato, a lettuce leaf and two rashers of bacon. The three members of our party who ordered the French Dip found them to be devoid of any taste (and the addition of the horseradish sauce meant that all they could taste was horseradish). This type of food doesn’t exactly require a skilled chef, and at these prices they should be able to do better. On the plus side our server, who appeared a little inexperienced, was friendly and charming, which more than made up for her inexperience.More
Sorry you didn't enjoy your visit and had issues with the food. Did you bring these things to the attention of a manager or server? If you did, and we didn't fix them immediately, that's on us. I hope you give us another try as...More
Disappointing- this restaurant has gone downhill in the last few years. The potatoe appetizer is the best on the menu -rest is just “eh”. Greek salad : 1 cherry tomatoe, 2 slices cucumber rest is romaine. $15. Not worth it.
Thanks so much. Cheers
First time here. Absolute good food and service. Chicken wings were very good. The sauce was spicy. Good selection of food. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was outstanding and friendly.
Thanks Golfer. Cheers
We ate outside and it was fine and not hot at all due to the fans. We had seven people in our party and our server was amazing. After the drink order we had 3 apps, and everyone ordered dinner. All items were delivered in...a timely manner and cooked exactly as expected. We had a great time here, totally recommend, you will not be disappointed.More
Thanks so much. Cheers
Nasty manager on 6/30 who did not know how to deal with a busy night. Extremely rude to talk about waiting guests in front of them as if they were an inconvenience to your night rather than the people who actually support your paycheck. Next...time show some kindness and patience. We will not be back -your food is not worth the rude treatment of guests and staff.More
Kelli, we are sorry you felt that our manager was rude. He wasn't trying to be, as he was having a conversation with the host about any option for available seating for your party after you declined the initial table. He should have addressed you...More
