My husband, Al, and I dined at the Chef's Table on Feb 19 2024 and celebrated my birthday. We ordered from the chef's tasting menu and could not have been more pleased. It was one of the best restaurant meals we have had in a...very long time. You see I am a classically trained and award-winning chef in my own right so my standards are quite high and I am, more often than not, disappointed in restaurants, even fine dining establishments. Al started with the "Heartbreaker" Cocktail, which was excellent then he had the mushroom and chive crepe torte for an appetizer, exceptional and enough for 2 to share actually so we brought part of it back to the hotel and had it for lunch the next day. He then chose the Duck confit, also outstanding. For dessert he had the chocolate torte with the toasted marshmallow ice cream and caramel sauce, again, beyond delicious and the ice cream was the best thing i've had in my mouth in a long time. Al also did the wine pairing with his courses. I sampled each pairing and they were perfectly matched. I tried the Mr. Pink as an aperitif and loved every drop but the pink peppercorn's stole the show. Then I started with the foie gras. Every bite just brings you to your knees. This was the main reason we selected The Chef's Table to begin with because I had to have foie gras. I chose the filet for my entree and I must say it may have been one of the best filet's i've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly medium rare with a char that was to die for. I brought part of my filet back to the hotel to go with the torte for lunch the next day. Even warmed up it was delicious. For dessert I had the mission fig bread pudding, which had a fantastic texture and was the perfect level of sweetness. I paired the pecan pie martini with it and it was decadent and complimented the dessert perfectly. I did not opt for the wine pairing as a sip of two from Al's were enough for me. Our server, JJ, was attentive, funny, and generous with her time. The manager came by twice to chat with us. The atmosphere was romantic but not stuffy and we had a great view of the kitchen, which as a chef is simply theatre for me. Lastly, the prices were not stupid. This kind of tasting menu can easily run well over $100 pp without the wine pairing. I appreciate the fact that, while affordable, it was elegant and indulgent. We will never visit Orlando again without returning to The Chef's Table and I will recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you for such an amazing experience. Amanda & Al FraioliMore

We went here for our anniversary dinner and we knew it was a special occasion restaurant. The ambiance and service were spectacular and the food was good. I had the Pork Ribeye which I was told it was the most popular dish, but I wasn't...completely satisfied with it. The accompanying cajun rice had a very strong flavor that I never quite got used to (the next time I would choose the Beef Ribeye). My wife chose the swordfish which she said was wonderful, along with her appetizer, the mushroom torte. We were very happy we experienced it and our server was great, but we will try the Tasting Room on our next visit.More

We are recent transplants from the Northeast to Florida. Winter Garden is the next town over from us and has a lot to offer. I was looking for an anniversary dinner and came across the Chef's Table. I booked the Chef Table experience, but you...can also sit in the bar area and have small plates, more of a tasting menu option. Being an anniversary, I wanted something a bit more formal. We were seated in what seemed like a back room....traversing through the bar and hotel area. What a building! A flash back to days gone by...with old style restrooms filled with memorabilia. Don't miss it. In this room, it was quite intimate. Filled with wine floor to ceiling, and only a limited number of tables. If you want a nice quiet night out, this is the place. Our menu was a prix-fixe....meaning one price for an appetizer, entree and desert. There were about 3 or 4 different choices for each and they all sounded great. You can also pay a little extra and get wine pairings for each. We opted for a bottle of Bella Glos Pinot Noir. Their wine list is very nice...Caymus, Silver Oak, etc. Our meal was perfect. Not rushed. Just enough "gourmet" touches on each course, perfectly prepared and timed by our waiter. It was not over the top, but a nice blend of flavors, showing this chef knows what he/she is doing. Living near the Disney, Clermont, Winter Garden area means a lot of dining choices and a lot of really great restaurants. This will be our go-to when we want that quiet night out, un-rushed, to let the world go by and enjoy company.More

The food was delicious and the drinks were good also. Our service was excellent. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant which was inside of the Edgewater hotel. The temperature in the room was very warm. Periodically the air would come on...but then it seemed to shut off. It made the dining experience less than a five.More

Divine creations every single dish❣️😋😋😋 The special foie gras special and mushroom torte were succulent. The lamb chops were mouthwatering and the pork ribeye was lick the plate worthy. The sides were rich and powerful. The chocolate and guava desserts were the perfect way to...end the evening. I had the wine pairings with my meal, but preferred the scrumptious wine we bought. Brian was a great server, especially since he was serving the entire restaurant. Matt is a fantastic manager. This place is a quiet gem❣️❣️❣️More

Wow! This meal was quite honestly one of the best meals I have ever had! And that being, not only because of the delicious food, but because of the outstanding service! We booked the Chefs Table room and were served by Ryan. Wow, he was...on the ball! Ryan knew everything about the menu to a T! We also did the wine pairing and Ryan was extremely knowledgeable of the wines. The tasting menu was excellent, the appetizers were delicious. I had the rock shrimp and they did have a special Foie Gras. For the entrée I had the pork rib eye and dessert was the peach galette. Both of which were amazing. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant from the service to the food! and the price point was great too, about $65 each for the tasting menu then wine and cheese plate are extra. Overall, 10/10!!!More

The staff prepared for our dining in advance by reading the dietary notes I provided at time of making the reservation. They also had given thoughtful consideration to culinary options for me. The chef took initiative to deconstruct and construct delicious, complex offerings which delighted...my palate and mind. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The music was pleasant and familiar. We will be back. This restaurant could qualify for a Michelin ratingMore

What an incredible experience. The meal was more than I could have imagined or expected. We both started with mushroom tart. I followed it with the pork ribeye then the lemon thyme creme brulee. My wife had the lamb (best she has EVER had) finished...with the passion fruit cheesecake. For cocktails we had the spicy 🔥 pineapple and the Florida triangle. It is the place to go for a special dinner.More

My serving of Beef Wellington was comprised of fat and gristly meat. When I showed it to the manager she stated it was made with short ribs which have a lot of fat. I think the meat should have been properly trimmed.

We’ve been wanting to eat here for quite some time and finally made it last night. We had booked a few weeks in advance and were really looking forward to it. The Edgewater is on the Main Street of Winter Garden so easy to find...- this isn’t the only restaurant inside with a Thai and the Tasting Room as well. We arrived 10 minutes early so had a drink in the bar first - good range of beers and some great happy hour deals. We were then taken to the back of the building where the Chefs Table is located - such an old and interesting building with so much character. Our table was just to the side of the open kitchen. The menu is small and changes frequently I believe - we never found the actual menu given to us on the website or on any of the restaurant booking sites so you can’t predict exactly what the menu will be. Our waiter was excellent throughout and gave us an efficient and friendly service. We both chose the mushroom crepe as our appetiser- such a meaty mushroom flavour - crepe was much thicker than a crepe in France so tasted a bit more like a lasagne sheet but still enjoyed it. For our main course I had the lamb chops and my wife the filet of beef. Both were well cooked and so tasty - the risotto with the lamb was great and made for an excellent dish. My wife enjoyed her steak but the potato and broccoli sides were only warm at best. Desserts were both excellent- the chocolate crepe brûlée was really rich and so flavoursome. The basil ice cream with the bread pudding was really refreshing though didn’t pick up any goats cheese in the pudding itself. Overall this was very special meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Will try the Tasting Room next timeMore

I like that its not fancy (in a good way), it has excellent service and some of the menu items are unparalleled. Totally recommended for...a romantic dinner or just to hang out and have great food. Try their Foie Gras, mushroom torte, filet and fish. Then finish the night with a apple crostad.More
