My wife and I had 2 big slices of sausage pizza (made special for us) and 3 garlic rolls for $10. Great price and we were very full. Excellent brooklyn style pizza. Staff was super and humorous. Other pizza flavors looked good too. Will be back in 2 days!

Burrata is super yummy. All of the different slices we tried were delicious, but that is not what made our visit memorable... We (Me, my 7yr old and my wife) stopped by at Pizza Time after spending the evening walking around St.Augustine on our recent trip. We were tired and decided to grab a few slices and go back to the hotel. There is usually a long line outside Pizza Time and when my turn came I ordered slices of Burrata, Margherita, Meats and Eggplant, while my wife went to draw some money from the ATM. We rarely carry cash and this was a cash-only place. Unfortunately, by the time they popped my slices into the oven, my wife came back saying our ATM card had expired. We did not have enough cash on us to cover the bill. I told the person taking the orders that I'd like to cancel the order. Domenico who owns the place was behind the counter and asked me where I was from. Even after 17 years living in Florida, I don't know how to answer that because when I say "Tampa" I usually get a follow-up on the lines of "No no which country are you from?". So skipping one question I told him we were from India. Shaking his head Domenico asked us where we lived. I told him we were from Tampa. Handing me a card he said "Just send me a check". Then he gave me a warm smile, shook my hand and handed me a box with my order. I don't have to tell you how nice it was to see a stranger trust me. The pizza was delicious. Domenico's trust and kindness more so. Thank you!

This used to be our absolute favorite pizza, anywhere. The last couple visits haven't been so great however, either with indifferent service or quality of food. Service seems to depend on how busy they are; the space they occupy is really small and there's a lot going on behind the counter with order taking, cooking, and plating all within a couple feet of the line of people who are either deciding on what to order or waiting for their food....you have to wait in line until your order is ready and THEN move ahead to pay. It wasn't too busy our last time out but the slices we ordered (white with spinach and mushrooms) had probably been sitting there a while and even after heating the cheese hadn't melted and was a solid mass that became separated from the crust when picked up. Kind of a shame because these people know how to make a great pizza, their crust is top notch and the toppings are varied and good quality. I'd love to see them move to a larger space where they could spend more time with the preparation and customers can sit while they wait.

Visited here since Pizzalleys was closed for cleaning. Saw the "#2 on TripAdvisior" banner, and thought I was in for a treat. This pizza did NOT hit the spot. The pizza was greasy, and it was only the cheese with no meat toppings. Got an order of garlic bread, and it was dry. Also note this restaurant is cash only, and they don't have this posted until you get to the register. Drinks are one refill only, and they don't give water cups, you must buy a bottle for $2.59. I do not recommend, and will not come here myself in the future. I don't understand who is rating this pizza 5 stars.

They have great Pizza, but prepare to be herded through like cattle, then treated like a nuisance. After ordering we get to the register where they hand us our pizza on paper plates. There didn't appear to be any seating, it was a crowded Saturday afternoon. We thought we would sit on the street out front, so I asked for a to box. Even if we found a seat, we had ordered more then we could eat and needed a box to take home the leftovers. The attendant never asked if we wanted it to go. They made it perfectly clear they were upset about transferring our pizza to a box. Then I hand them a card to pay, and the lady, obviously frustrated, snaps "We only take cash"! There a cash machine near the register, but she just glares at me, no offer for information, just stood there in disgust. A customer had to point out the ATM. We get through that gantlet and to our surprise, find seats inside. With 6 adults and 4 grand kids we sat down to eat. Next thing we know, the staff is shouting and yelling at each other. The manager was pissed, and went on a ten minute rant, yelling at his staff in front of everyone. Why you ask? Well, apparently, if you get a to go box your not allowed to stay and eat! Moments after all the yelling stopped, one of the cooks comes walking through the dinning area, looks down at my box on our table, and says "Stupid People" and walks by shaking his head at us. I tried to explain we had never been there, that we weren't stupid People. At that point he wheels around, comes back to our table and continues the abuse, telling us "boxes are for to go customers", and every time this happens the boss goes crazy on the staff. I asked if they would like us to leave and he just stood there glaring at us. The answer was obviously yes! So we gathered our things and walk out front to eat our pizza in the street. If you go there, the pizza is great. Just pay attention, and beware of their stupid rules. Other wise, you too will be called a stupid person, in the rudest restaurant I've ever been to.

Got a score of one because pizza is good, the bad is this place is dirty. Service is terrible, not cheap and they dont post their prices anywhere, slice of pizza is $5.50 and up, they only take cash and if you dont have cash they conveniently have an atm inside the store so you can get cash and ofcourse you get charged a fee for using the atm, the wine special they have 2 for price of 1 is not worth it, you get charged $8 for 2 tiny cups of wine, if you are worried about covid dont go in there, if there is a place in Florida that you might get it it will be inside this place, none of the staff wears masks you are not required to wear masks going in, no social distancing when you are in the line waiting to order, only inside seating and tables are next to each other, you can’t fit anymore tables inside this place. Trip advisor award is 5 years old. There are alot of other places better than this place for lunch or dinner.

First time visit with friends. Had seen that this was voted the #2 pizza in the nation, so we had to try it. There is no table service. We didn't mind standing in line, & the first man who took our order was polite. However, the next man (possibly the owner) was VERY rude! We ordered 4 slices of pizza & 3 garlic rolls. We were given 2 slices out of 4, & no garlic rolls, & were rudely told to keep moving! When I told him we were missing some of the food, he acted as if it were our fault, & again told us to keep moving! Then someone else at least told us that the rest of the order would be brought to our table. At the cash register, the woman was almost as rude as the man had been! I asked if I could have 2 cups for water & she nastily told me that they don't give cups for water, & that if we wanted water, we would have to buy bottled water. One slice of pizza that had not been ready was brought to the table cold, the rude man was not happy when my husband asked for it to be reheated. By the time the 4th slice came, the rest of us were almost done eating. We felt sorry for the young girls who worked there, they were apologetic for the problems we had. The pizza was good, but definitely not good enough to put up with the rudeness that came with it! Later that day, my daughter told me that she had been there with some friends, & their treatment was even worse. They had planned to eat in the restaurant & ordered a whole pizza, which they were given (apparently this is against the rules), & were basically kicked out by the owner! The owners don't want anyone eating a whole pizza in the restaurant!!! Apparently they only want to sell slices! Of course, they make more money that way! But to kick people out??? No way would I send anyone there! Go across the street to Pizzaley's!

So many sign on how this is the second best pizza in the US. The four us walk in, ask for a table. an employee grunts there is a table in the back. We sit and wait. Then go and ask if there is service. "Nope, you got to go to the counter." At the counter, we see CASH ONLY. Not common for a tourist location. We ask for prices about a pizza for the four of us. "Slices only!". "Okay, how much are the slices?" "$8.50 and they go down." We order four slices, garlic knots and two drinks not knowing how much cash this is going to cost us. We need to ask for forks and knives. They are begrudgingly given out 2 sets (We had to go back and ask for a third set). Our four slices were all topped with large, fresh toppings. Two loved the crust, two thought it was okay. Line for the one bathroom. Noisy background music. Bussers hovering waiting for us to leave to flip the table. I thought it was very good pizza, but a very unpleasant dining experience. Our lunch for four cost about $40 cash. Won't be returning.

The pizza was good, true. However this place is a scam. No prices first of all, second - no signs “cash only” or “we don’t accept cards”. You wait in line, get the food and only when you give them the card you hear “cash only”. Well, luckily my husband had enough cash (I never carry any cash) to pay for our several meals and drinks, otherwise I would have left the food on the counter and walked off. They do have (oh what a surprise) “conveniently” located ATM there which gonna charge you fees for withdrawing the money. Obviously it’s all for tax purposes. Have cash or don’t go there.

Pizza is decent. The line doesn't move fast. The staff is rude. No prices are posted. No menu is posted. A first timer has no chance of pleasing the "soup-Nazi" style staff. They "run out" of menu items that you happened to see in the window while you were waiting in line outside. Apparently no slice of pizza is cheaper than $5.50, but how could one know when there is no menu or price list? The eggplant pizza is bland per my wife. It's nearly impossible to tell which types of pizza have which types of sauces. I ordered the Calabrese, but it had no red sauce. St. Augustine is a tourist trap. And this restaurant is tourist trap par-excellence. The pizza is OK. Nothing else is. Don't fall for the hype.

We were here over new years and super busy, probably because its one of the few places that the food is not going to be totally tourist priced, but $7 a slice is a little high. The pizza is touted as 2nd best in the US, but perhaps it used to be. Now its just reheated pizza because the place has such long lines they have to churn out the slices and being freshly made, we were told, would take over 30 minutes to make. They do offer gluten free crust but again 30 minutes to make. Also cash only....but they have an atm right at the check out. We did it, and its ok but plenty of other places nearby.

Ordered garlic knots, small Greek salad, 2 pepperoni and 1 white pizza and came out to just under $30 for two people. Prices aren’t listed anywhere and after we paid we were informed that we could have upgraded our $9.50 small salad to a large for $11.95. It was even hard to know what they had! The pizza guys themselves were nice enough but the cashier girl was so rude. She looked at us like we were crazy when we asked if they accept Apple Pay since we didn’t have cash and she kept referring us to the ATM.. no we didn’t wanna deal with an ATM. When asked why it’s cash only and not listed up front, she said “so we don’t get broken into.. ya know, like since we have cash on hand.” Excuse me?! Anyone who looks into who they’ll break into can see through Pizza Time reviews that they’re cash only. That makes no sense. We found some cash within our purses but we would’ve walked away otherwise. Her customer service was poor and she got rude with my friend when we were asking about the salad and asked for our dressing (that they didn’t give us). They also don’t have ranch so if you like ranch with pizza, no luck here. The pizza was barely warm when we ate it and it wasn’t great. It was okay but not number 2 in the country. Don’t understand the hype and we will be telling others not to waste money here and we won’t be coming back.

We stopped for a quick lunch. Although there was a fairly long line, it moved quickly and we had no problem finding a table. Pizza Time offers many varieties of pizza by the slice--thin crust, thick crust, many types of veggies, meats. and cheeses as well as calzones. After your order is placed, the slice is placed in an oven and served piping hot. Very tasty sauce. Enjoyed the pizza!

This is a good small pizzeria that sells pizza by the slice garlic knots and great salads. We go to Saint Augustine every other month or so and always make time to stop here for a snack or meal and they have never let us down! The pizzas utilize good ingredients and are plentiful with no more than two slices ever needed regardless of how hungry you are. Just remember though it’s cash only and while they do have an ATM machine in there it’s best to come with cash versus paying the fee.

I cannot believe the lines of people waiting for this "New York" style pizza. The pizza was marginal at best and certainly did not come close to anything made in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, etc... After waiting in a long line to order and receive your food, you will unlikely find a place to sit inside.
