We have been to Johnny's for about 15years when going on vacation. Food is average and has gotten quite expensive over the years. Ordered a chicken quesadilla and got a cheese only, they deducted $2 from the bill. Seems to cater to locals looking for a drink or vacationers looking for the location convenience. Will probably visit next time due to that convenience but will be looking for other options like 2 Drunken Goats (look at the difference in quesadilla between the two)

Beachside location. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere with live music and tvs playing various sports games. Food was mediocre with small portions and an expensive price tag. I am sure the rent is very expensive, but I think they can do better with the portions. We spent close to $60 for two lunch entrees - a Crab Salad and Fried Shrimp. Fries with the 5 fried shrimp entree were old and a minuscule portion. Adding a small portion of coleslaw would have gone a long way. Left feeling ripped off and hungry. Will not be back.

We went for lunch a few days ago . When we got there we sat at the bar. We are social people . The bartender did not speak to us for 5 minutes . There was only 5 other people at the bar and not many people in the restaurant as it was 11.00 am . So when she asked what were drinking she never introduced herself just took our drink order and walked away . 5 minutes later we got our water and she walked away . 3 or 4 minutes later she asked if we were going to eat. We said yes May we see a menu . She gave us the menu and only a minute later asked if we were ready to order. We has a the crab and artichoke dip and it was really really good. Very cheesy with a lot of crab meat. My Groupers sandwich was freaking off the hook . Wow large hot fresh lettuce and a large slice of tomato. It was probably one of the best grouper sandwiches I ever had . Sadly my wife’s order came out wrong . The waitress never came over to ask how everything was . My wife finally stopped another worker passing by and asked them if they could help us so they won’t get the manager. We told the manager we were sorry for bothering him but the bartender never asked us how the food was so we never got a chance to tell her about the mistake. She pretty much ignored us from the moment we sat down to moment we left. The manager was more than accommodating and my wife just ordered another grouper sandwich into my mouth so good. I don’t know why but I still tipped the bartender more than 25%. My mother all three of my sisters were all servers at sometime in their life and I listen to them talk about people who stiff them so I’ve always been more than generous with bartenders and waitresses. Also my wife is a 30 year bartender So we are good tippers. It stills aggravating me to give this woman a good tip because she was such a horrible human being. As much as we enjoyed the sandwich we can go anywhere to be treated like garbage we don’t have to go to Johnny longboat’s

Such a disappointment. This was our groups ( 6 people ) 4th visit to JL and all of us left feeling that our favourite little bar in Riviera had lost its MoJo. Half of the beers on the menu were not available during our visit, the servers were just rude, with attitude and lazy. We waited 45 minutes for a server to take our 3rd round of drinks order, and a further 20 minutes to actually get them at our table. When we complained we were told by our second server that they haven't enough staff. Our first server insisted we closed our bill as her shift was ending, so we closed it and we sat and looked at our empty plates for 45 minutes before we could get another server to actually come and take our drinks order, and she only cleared our empty plates when we complained that we felt we had been abandoned. We certainly won't be rushing back to this establishment.

The food is tasteless and the drinks are watery, the servers usually get at least half the order wrong and since the result is not worth chewing, it doesn’t really matter. The only redeeming quality is the atmosphere is fun unless you mind drug addicts hanging around outside. Unless you are drinking yourself into oblivion (which many there are) this is NOT the place for an enjoyable meal. Give this one a miss.

We visited JL's for their terrific Happy Hour between 3 and 6 on a Monday when vacationing in Riviera Beach area. We thoroughly enjoyed the numerous individuals we met and chatted with at their bar from NY, MA and Montreal, Canada. The "barkeeps" did a fantastic job. We had several of the 32 Oz. Bacardi Punch buckets for $10.99, peel and eat shrimp for $8.99, chicken wings for $6.99 and hush puppies for $3.99. All were top notch. Even without HH, their menu looks great with nice diversity, including what appeared to be awesome Sushi. We left with our bellies full and social needs met. Let's go back!

We spent $170 for a family of 4 (4 entrées and 3 appetizers). The food was overly salty (fish and chips, mixed grill, fried shrimp and seafood fettucini alfredo), The presentation was poor. They put the food is small plates and the food was overflowing. We were disapointed because we went out of my way to go there to eat. Not worth the detour and none of us enjoyed the food. Only the appetizers were good, we had the buffalo wings, conch fritters and calamari fritters.

Johnny Longboats is a must-visit when on Singer Island. Great food served from breakfast to dinner. There is something for everyone. We enjoyed a Sunday brunch, so some had breakfast and others a crab roll. Local talent was there adding music as the staff busily served a hungry crowd. The only downside was a windy day, and the windows were open, making it extraordinary. I bet on a sunny day, it adds to the atmosphere.

Came here for the happy hour, only to find out that you have to get a seat at the bar for the happy hour to apply. Good luck fighting your way into a seat. Instead we were seated at a booth table. The hushpuppies were as dry as could be and they were so hard that you couldn't even cut them with a knife. Food was very average. Came to my surprise they they also serve sushi?? Just seemed odd coming from a pub/american joint. Myself and one other split a wrap, only to find out they charged an additional $4 to "split our order" (aka put half on one plate and half on another). That was a big red flag to me, it didnt even state the extra fee to added on split meals. Just slimly.

We have been vacationing in the Riviera Beach area for many years and have never dined at Johnny Longboats. The music coming from the restaurant was quite inviting over the years; but we were not sure about the food, etc. Needless to say, our first dining experience was not too spectacular. Our Classic Hamburgers were cooked to order; it’s presentation was good; and it’s taste was very good. The Onion Rings and Caribbean Rice looked good but were not very tasty. My Wife’s Lemonade did not taste like Lemonade; and my Coca-Cola was some kind of cola heavy on the soda. The service was average. Its prices are quite expensive.

We recently returned from a 10-night stay on singer island, I made the mistake of going to this restaurant last Sunday and upon arriving the restaurant was crowded but not packed to capacity. After sitting down it took about 15 minutes to get drinks and unfortunately once we sat down my young daughter accidentally spilled some of her lemonade. After about 10 minutes the waitress did come over and help clean up the lemonade but you could tell she was visibly annoyed and disgusted at what we had done, as if it was done on purpose. We placed the food order and the food took about 45 minutes to come out upon placing the order and seeing the waitress we had asked for a side of salad dressing three to four times. Needless to say either the waitress was just mad at us or having a bad day the side never came out and I must say my daughter's item was taken off the bill which was a nice thing to do. This restaurant is horribly understaffed and food took about an hour from time of ordering to time of eating. But we did get was actually pretty good so if you don't mind waiting a while the food is actually better than average.

We had not been to Singer Island for some years but remembered Johnny Longboats as having good food and a broad selection. It is possible to find something for everyone and anyone on their menu and it is prepared well. At this visit we were hungry for seafood and decided to try some of their Asian inspired dishes. We started by sharing a Volcano Krab Roll. This is a California roll with eel sauce upon which they add baked mixed Krab and some mayo. If you like California Rolls, you will really enjoy this roll! So tasty! We followed this with their Shrimp Watermelon Salad and their upgraded Sunomono! Sunomono is Japanese cucumber salad. Johnny Longboats added conch, krab, masago (capelin roe), octopus, and shrimp to mixed greens and cucumbers. Served in a sesame seed, rice vinegar dressing. It was slightly sweet with balanced acid, crunchy, chewy, fresh, delicious. The dish is totally excellent! The Shrimp Watermelon Salad was also fabulous, with nicely charred pieces of watermelon and perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp served over mixed greens with a Thai dressing. Sprinkled with crumbled Feta and pistachios! Wonderful textures, colors, and flavors! We accompanied this with a Pinot Grigio and local IPAs, despite the availability of Sake and Kirin, and more. Our server was most knowledgeable about the beverage offerings ..

First visit food was good. Second visit waited an hour for food, and then they admitted they gave our food to someone else. But they would be glad to start the order again. We left without eating and went someplace else. On this visit we ordered take out. We showed up in 25 minutes to get the food. She said one dinner was up and they were just waiting on the second one. After numerous checks and 30 minutes later they admitted they ran out of the second item. They offered to make us something else but the first item was already in a box getting Cold for 30 minutes. Left Henry again.

We were a family of 6. Got there at 4pm. The bar was full because of happy hour. We took a table. We ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries and Mac and cheese. The 8 Shrimps were huge and nicely fried. Not overpriced and dry. Excellent and moist; the fish and chips which came with 2 large pieces of battered fried halibut and fries. Excellent batter and crunch; the pork sliders for my non-seafood hubby. He enjoyed them. They were tasty and full of meat. There were 3 sliders to the order. He ate 2 and one the next day for lunch. I ordered the clam chowder and hot peel and eat Shrimp with old bay. Very good soup and peeled Shrimp was enough -half pound; my daughter had the fish tacos. Came with 2 tacos with blackened Mahi Mahi and fries. The tacos were folded over like a burrito and were nice Size. She enjoyed. We also ordered 2 sushi rolls for my sushi grandson who's all of 8. He ate one and took the other one home. Great presentation on the sushi. I forgot to say we ordered nachos with beef for the table and it was one of the best I have had. The person. Who made it did a great job I would definitely go back. As a matter of fact my family is there now at the bar ready to watch the NYRangers game. Affordable and reasonable prices. Good for families

Had breakfast with family here. Sat outside even though it was hot and sunny because of COVID and staff moved the umbrella over my table but did not arrange it correctly to provide shade so I had to do it. Order breakfast with lattes and when we received the lattes they were both undrinkable. The taste was worse than coffee you brew in a hotel. The food was good and plentiful and our waitress was very good and apologized about the coffee and did not charge us for it. However management should not be serving lattes at 4.50 that taste like that.
