After having the long day vising the famous palaces we have decided to have a dinner in this lovely restaurant. Food was very delicious. Very good salads as well as fresh fish from Black Sea. It was very well supported by local wine. I would...specially highlight very good service which was provided to us.More

We stopped after our tour and tasted the Borscht which was excellent. Fresh salads. grilled kebabs and an expensive bottle of Pinot Griogio which was barely chilled

We have spotted this restaurant by chance escaping from the rain. Located in an ancient building (former imperial stables) near Livadiya palace it looks like Province restaurants. The walls were decorated with murals. We ordered local Crimian fish - barabulka. Long awaited but it was...fresh and very tasty. Should be added to the list of good restaurants in Crimia.More

I’m split about this restaurant. We ate here three times (having stayed in the nearby Livadia Spa Hotel with no proper restaurant). And while initially we enjoyed the place greatly, our most recent visit was a total disappointment, specifically in terms of unbelievably slow service...(even by Crimean standards) and poorer meals quality compared to our previous visits. So quite probably it’s either hit, or miss. Tsarskaya Konyushnya (“Tsar Stables”) is largely specialized in Georgian cuisine. But there are few Ukrainian and European entries in the menu as well. Soups and hot snacks were disappointing. Fried onion dominated in the chicken broth, and the chicken and mushroom stew turned out sweet. Meat and poultry as well as vegetables were exceptionally good; meat was tender and juicy. So it was largely these dishes that we returned here for; much better than in the nearby Tiflis restaurant. Sadly, on our third visit chicken shashlyk was drier than before. They also make delicious desserts; we tried nearly everything, from baked apple with nuts to home-made ice-cream (“pistachio parfait”), all good. The wine list is not too extensive, but there is some choice of local and Georgian wines. They also make cocktails, but these were rather okay. There are both smoking and non-smoking areas in the halls. At night, there’s often live music inside, and don’t be surprised to be charged extra for the music (there’s a remark in the menu). Summer terrace is a smoking area; also get ready to a half a dozen of cats there begging for food. But for our third visit, when they hosted a large banquet, the service was surprisingly prompt and attentive; it nearly made us forget we were in Crimea. They don’t open before midday, so no breakfasts here, but are operating till late at night. Our bill had rarely exceeded USD 30 per person (with drinks but no tips), which I consider excellent value for the Greater Yalta. Major credit cards were accepted. Even though our latest visit was poorer than two previous ones, I’d still recommend Tsarskaya Konyushnya, especially considering that there isn’t too much choice in Livadiya, anyway.More
