As we walked up to Eve, we were greeted with a warm welcome and the offer to sit wherever we pleased. We cozied up in their teardrop wicker chairs outdoors and enjoyed some beautiful cocktails. The atmosphere is welcoming and classy, and the cocktails actually...taste as good as they look! Which of course is absolutely beautiful…. Pretty bad decision to eat here, was very overpriced, very small portions, poor management, food not explained at all, nothing spectacular, the size of enrees are more like appetizer size. The manager seems like she is just looking to make to a buck for the...evenng rather than make sure customers have a great experience. If you eat here, make sure you ask questions that can give you very definitive answers. The wait staff seems nice, but should be more proactive on explaining the dish you might order. Bus staff really nice and frendly. The waiter with the beard seemed really attentive. I eat out quite often, things can go wrong, but at this place was a poor choice. Other restaurants on Las Olas seem to care more about keeping repeat customers than this place does. I'd suggest you Read the bad reviews more carefully than the good reviews since there is no fixing a bad experience after you're done eatng here and spending your money.More
Waited for over an hour past our reservation time then dinner for 3 people with just an entree took almost 2 hours. The Korean ribs and fried rice are very good. The chimichurri skirt steak consists of about 4 bites of sliced steak next to...a cold scoop of quinoa salad. For $32 it’s the worst meal value in Fort Lauderdale. The smoked old fashioned cocktail is excellent.More
Nice location,friendly stuff. Nothing is else! Calling themselves Thai is over statement -only fried rice could be from Thai menu Fish ceviche is Horrible, feels like it was defrosted and mushy. Tuna tartare has no spice or flavor- just few pieces of raw tuna. Skirt...steak is okay, but portion is very small Scallops-36$ - for 4 small scallops-?! So, heads up, Eve is a new restaurant where Asia Bay used to be. When I called to ask about their concept, who ever I spoke to told me they still had some Asian themed items on the menu, which is a bit of an...over statement. I don’t like being negative, but the restaurant, the outdoor area at least, had zero vibe, no atmosphere, very little in the sense of decor, just a string of lights. The service tried hard and was friendly. They had signs that warned guests about having patience because they were understaffed and I’m sure they did their best to be as quick as possible. How ever, even if they would have been at full staff, the prices for quantity are inexcusable. 19$ for THREE RIBS?! At Doc B’s you get a full rack for 33$. 21$ for THREE SHRIMP?! Miami prices for martinis that were not filled to the rim. 25$ for a bowl of fried rice with chicken?! Madness. The prices are upscale, but I’m sorry to say that everything else is not. Even given that it’s on Las Olas, the other neighbouring restaurants have much more reasonable prices. Maybe when Eve gets some outdoor decor, gets a buzz going on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, maybe they can justify the prices, but I’m sorry to say that I won’t be returning. best of luckMore
