We stopped in to Cooter's after our pirate cruise. This seems to be a less-known spot for tourists since parking was easier to find when everything else was full. My wife absolutely loved the shrimp tacos. She said they were the most delicious that she...has had during our entire trip! My daughter had the chicken fingers and they were served in a take-home frisbee that she absolutely loved. I had the fried grouper which is always a great choice. Mica made sure we had a great meal experience. Thank you!More

We Love Cooter's, Great Grouper and Gumbo

We eat at Cooter's every time we are in Clearwater Beach. It has the best Seafood gumbo in the area. We love the Fried Grouper Sandwich and also the Hot shrimp and crab dip appetizer. If you have not been here, What are you waiting...for? GO! Not a fancy place but good service and Great food!More

Went for all you can eat crab

Went for all you can eat crab legs. 9 people in our party. Told hostess would sit at two different tables. Instead set all 9 of us at a table more comfortable for six. Way to crowded. The outdoor dining had the plastic sides pulled...down making it very hot. The food was just okay. Advertisements said meal came with molasses bread. We were never offered any bread.More

Great grilled grouper. Fried

Great grilled grouper. Fried seafood was nothing special. Ordered a hurricane cocktail and then 2 hurricane with double rum. Unfortunately after 1 hurricane cocktail on a empty stomach I should of felt the liquor in the drink but after all 3 of the cocktails I...wasn’t even feeling the liquor. Regrettably I will not return, too many great restaurants with great grilled fish and seafood.More

Great Food

Went to Cooters the 1st time because they had the NFL package, and then went back numerous times after that. Great food. The nightly specials were very good especially Thursday’s Grouper. Happy Hour Shrimp and Oysters. This is a must stop in Clearwater.

Good flavor/Cold food

"My wife and I ate at Cooters last night. They have all you can eat crab legs on Monday and Tuesday nights. My wife and I both got the steam bucket. The mussels had great flavor but several of them were not opened. When I...asked the waiter about it he said he ate them that way, but he did take them back and get ones that were open. (Eating mussels that do not open can make you sick and the waiter and apparently the cook did not know that.). The corn in both buckets were cold, not cool, cold like they just came out of the refrigerator. The crab legs were also cool. The flavor was great, food just not hot. Since they had all you can eat crab legs, I figured they would be making a bunch and they would be hot.More

Great food

Cooters is an unassuming joint, but the food is really good. We had no trouble getting a table. The service was excellent. We both had salads, mine with shrimp, my husband had grouper on top. I started with she crab soup, which was fabulous, served...with a side of garlic bread. Both dinners were affordable and great.More

Blue Lightening

Second year for the crab fest! Snow crab and stone were both good portions and great quality. Friendly staff and always drink specials with happening music. Have a blast indoor or on patio.
