Their staff is generous and when you arrive you will not stop giving them tips. I really liked them.

The food at the restaurant at Rivertrees Country Inn was quite good. The portions are large and quite tasty. They are very accommodating when it comes to changing recipes for people with stomach issues. The breakfast was not as great as the lunch and dinner...options. It was rather limited for choices, but what they did offer was nice. The staff is quite friendly and outgoing. You have the choice of an ala carte menu all day or a set menu with many courses for $30.00 at night as well. All food was beautifully presented.More

Wide choice of food at breakfast, several juice choices, your choice of types of tea or coffee. Dinners were well balanced and great.

I also have a longer review posted for the Inn itself. The restaurant is great. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Service is great (as it is seemingly everywhere in Tanzania). The bar is very nice. Afternoon tea was nice. Dinner was excellent both nights that we were...there. I had pizza both nights. Rivertrees pizza is some of the best that I have ever had. The crust is perfect and the toppings are spot on.More

We wanted to get out of Arusha the night before our return home. We succeeded beyond our expectations. We had a cabin by the river and overlooking trees that hosted several different types of monkeys. The room was spacious and comfortable. We didn't need the...mosquito netting, but it added some extra charm. Walking through the property simply added to the great overall atmosphere. That night we ate onsite. Excellent. Lots of locals there for BBQ and for the music, which was a blend of Western, reggae and African. Our only regret was that we hadn't book there on the front end of our trip.More

We ate at this restaurant a number of times during our stay at Rivertrees County Inn. While many guests eat here, there are plenty of patrons who aren’t staying onsite too, and everyone is welcome. There’s an option to eat on the patio, under the...pavilion, or under the big trees in the grass (which was our choice each time). Service was friendly and welcoming, though it could be slow at times when it was very busy. The menu has something for everyone, and because we stayed at the inn twice during our recent trip to the region, we tried a number of dishes. There were a number of options for vegetarians, and a couple of vegan and gluten free options as well. The Zanzibari Coconut & Vegetable Curry was tasty, the Grilled Chicken was a surprise hit, the soup of the day was tasty when we had it, and the pizzas – especially the roasted vegetable – are worth trying, and they’re made in a big woodfired oven outside. One night they had live music and Swahili Barbecue, which was tasty; I tried the mishikaki (beef skewers), ndizi mzuzu (barbecued bananas), and the kachumbari (tomato, cucumber, onion, and spicy pepper salad). The barbecue was my favorite meal of them all! A few beers are on offer, and they are all reasonably priced around TZS 4,000. The food prices are reasonable (TZS 9,500 – 19,000 for a main) but are definitely more expensive than at other restaurants in the area. Nonetheless, it was delicious, and it’s worth visiting. Credit cards accepted.More

Very attentive staff who brought along mosquito repellent. Food was exactly what we were looking for after a long journey from Europe - hearty and filling. Thank you!

Stopped in with friends for tea time in the gardens. Greeted by very friendly server who quenched our thirst with freshly squeezed juices.
