Fantastic! We loved everything about this place for the friendly wait staff to the food and desserts! Incredible selections and huge portions. Worth the splurge on our last night in Vail.

The service was very good, but the foods were mediocre. We had a cup of New England clam chowder, $6, which was very good. Baby greens and Alaskan king crab had too much dressing, $18. Red snapper was average. I will choose another restaurant for...seafood.More
The Baked Brie Focaccia and Maine Lobster Arancini were underwhelming. The focaccia lacked a Brie flavor and the Arancini tasted only of fried rice (no lobster). From there, we had the Herb Crusted Halibut and the Seared Ahi Tuna. Both entrees were great and the...halibut portion was larger than expected! It's a great filler restaurant if you have a night open on your trip, but I wouldn't make it a top destination.More
The food was great. We ate on the patio. Both the patio and the dining room appear a bit dated. Our server was fine. Given the volume of business on a Saturday night, an assistant to bus the tables, etc, would have been nice.
Hadn't visited Montauk for some time and had friends visiting who wanted seafood. It is every bit as good as in the past--very consistent menu quality. Service was a little off because our server was new, but we weren't in a hurry. This is a...highly recommended local classic.More
Very nice and friendly place. Limited but adequate menu. Service was excellent and good compliance with current regulations. It’s Vail so relatively expensive but for the area we would say clearly value for money. All the dishes we had were very good well served and...well presented. Good taste. We will definitely visit again. Nice atmosphere.More
The food coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous and I heard many positive comments. Our Alaskan King Crab with Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes and Haricot Verts was tasty. The Key Lime Pie for dessert was yummy. The only thing that kept it from being great...food was hard bread and an appetizer that missed the mark. The waitstaff were very polite and responsive. I highly recommend the Montauk Seafood Grill!More
Just had an amazing dinner at Montauk! This classic Vail restaurant never gets old! We sat on their beautiful patio and enjoyed a great dinner. Our 9 and 11 year old were with us and they were so accommodating and welcoming to all of us!...Thanks Chelsea for the great service! We will be back next year!!!More
My Name is Tim Cronin. On Friday July 24 my wife and I had an incredible experience. It was my 70th birthday and my brother called in to buy us a surprise bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. The staff was accommodating the manager checked on...us often and waitress Paulina was outstanding. Our meals were 10/10 and the Sand Pie is “Other Worldly Great” Montauk experience can not be over rated or over stated. All the best Keep it up Tim Cronin Tcronin1701@gmail.comMore
My son is a huge seafood fan and i must say i was skeptical about getting good seafood in Vail. I was mistaken, we had a terrific dinner, king crab, ahi tuna, halibut - all delicious. Nice surroundings and a great server. Highly recommend a...visitMore
