Sweet basil is amazing. Great bar dinning. Fantastic drinks and wine list. Food is divine. Cesar salad is really special with the white anchovies. Be sure to reserve early since this one is hard to get into. You will love this spot.

We only eat there when it is a special occasion and when they offer local prices. Been there 3 times and have always enjoyed it!

I had the rotisserie chicken salad and it was fantastic. It had the most delightful combination of flavors and I am pretty picky. I ate every bite and will order it again.

I went to Sweet Basil twice last month. Once, I had a reservation and then the other time I walked in and tried to get a seat at the bar. The first night, we were seated on the back balcony and all of the tables...were socially distanced. I felt extremely comfortable with their COVID precautions. The food was incredible. My mother and I split a bottle of wine and then got the bao buns, whipped feta, halibut, seafood saffron pasta and the chocolate pretzel dessert. The dish this summer at all of the restaurants seemed to be Halibut over a bed of sweet corn and this was the best halibut in the Vail valley. When I tried to come back a second night by myself and sit at the bar, I was told that the open bar stools were not on a first-come-first-serve basis and that people could "put their names in for bar stools". There were three open stools but I was told that they were reserved for people who had wanted them before I walked in...where those people were, I couldn't tell you. The stools sat empty until I left the restaurant. I was told that I could be seated at a table in the front of the restaurant but, after I stepped outside to take a call and came back in, I was told that they were not accepting walk-ins. I had been told 5 minutes prior that I could be seated immediately so was left confused and annoyed at the miscommunication between hostesses. Would definitely recommend as long as you book a reservation ahead of time.More

Food was delicious. We did the bao appetizer—incredible! And we split the best cheeseburger I’ve ever had. The flavor was amazing. Service was not great however.

Hadn't been to Sweet Basil in a few years so we went back for an appetizer and a drink. Waited a short few minutes for a seat at the bar during this Covid time. Beautiful restaurant. great spring rolls, good wine list, nice bartenders. Never...disappoints.More

I almost considered buying two plates because my meal was very small (I got the Lamb). Although it was good, I certainly was not full afterwards. Luckily, the dessert was actually larger than than the entree. Service was average and overall, the experience seemed lacking...for me. I will however, return to give it another try next time I am in Vail.More
