Make dining fun again. Four Seasons Resort Vail has reinvented Flame Restaurant with inventive twists on classic steakhouse favorites. Start off by tempting your palate with a foie gras or a quinoa risotto, indulgent sides, such as lobster mac' & cheese, or satisfy your sweet tooth with a Valrhona mousse. We highly recommend you try Flame at the Four Seasons Vail; we had a great dinner from Flame’s in room dining. With COVID, Flame has had its challenges but Chef Simon from the Four Seasons Denver and the whole team has triumphed. First of all,...our dinner arrived in our apartment on time and hot, delivered with everything we would need. We started with the seared foie gras. It was a very large lobe that we could share. Many restaurants serve foie gras but Flame’s presentation was creative and delicious with the wild mushrooms and the brioche bread brushed with duck fat and toasted. We had asked Jose Ortiz, the Food and Beverage Director to choose a wine for us and he chose a Rioja by Muga. It went beautifully with our meal. We both ordered the double lamb chops, one rare and one medium. They were each perfectly cooked, just the way we like them, as well as tasty and juicy. All of the sides that we ordered hit the spot; particularly the truffle fries that were cooked as we requested—very crisp. The asparagus were the best fat ones and the wild mushrooms were delicious and prepared with a sufficiently different sauce so they were distinguished from the ones that came with the foie gras. The pièce de résistance, at least for Audre, was the Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé. It came ready to be popped in a preheated oven and a lovely note with instructions from the Pastry Team. When it was cooked for the prescribed 16 minutes, it came out puffed and perfect. The taste of the Valrhona chocolate is beyond delicious and Audre couldn’t believe she ate the whole thing! Jose Ortiz made sure that our dinner was perfect and it was!More

Very bad, this restaurant has gone downhill. New menu is very limited, staff is untrained. We ordered the lamb and both orders came out overcooked. No apology, they took our food away and no one came to check on us or give updates until i...requested a manager, and he was rude and dismissive. Our group will never go back, but based on this experience this place will probably be shut down soon.More

a terrible food poisoning, and I was not the only one, a bank event that everyone who ate any of the dishes was very ill! I thought I was going to die so badly that I passed!

Surprised my family at Flame with a trip to the Burger Bar. Experience was fantastic. Staff was well trained, eager to please, and did an unbelievable job making you feel wanted. The food was plentiful and delicious. Topping it off with the milkshake bar was...an amazing treat. 10 of 10 will do it again. Kudos to the whole Four Seasons team for this opportunity. We even had a small snafu on our bill which Justin took care of the following day with no issue. Wish more places provided this level of hospitality, creativity, and innovation.More

I purposely sought out this restaurant in the hopes of having a high-end delicious breakfast, because it was in the Four Seasons hotel which is generally known for its top end food and service, but I was completely disappointed. The only thing good about the...visit was the service - the servers were very attentive and interesting to talk to. But the food was horrible. My "soft scrambled" eggs came out cold and well done, rubbery. The toast was cold with no butter and when I got the butter, of course it didn't melt on the cold toast. The choices of jam were extremely limited and pedestrian. The French press coffee was good, but didn't make up for the cold, uninteresting food and insanely high bill.More

We chose this restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel knowing it would probably be a but more pricey than other options. However, we were craving a nice filet and figured this might be the best option with the least chance of loud patrons. We were...seated at a nice, quiet table however there were some very loud guests across the restaurant which seemed to feel no one else mattered. How are people so oblivious?! We had a nice leisurely dinner. If one wants bread with pre-dinner drinks, they offer 2 homemade rosemary rolls with warm ricotta cheese for $8. (It is the Four Seasons after all!). Sadly, the only filet offered were Waygu quality and at $90 for 8 ounces, we chose a different option. My husband enjoyed his rack of lamb ($56) and I loved my Dover Sole Meunière ($57). We shared the pancetta-roasted Brussels sprouts and they were very good. Wines by the glass are of a good range and quality. We enjoyed being able to sip a taste before the glass was poured at our table. We also enjoyed our server’s wonderful attention. He offered great suggestions and checked with us as to how we were doing. I‘m sure there are probably more reasonably-priced steak options in Vail but if you go in knowing that this will be Vail Four Season prices, you won’t be disappointed.More

we have been going to flame since the four seasons opened. it has been our go to steak restaurant in the vail valley for years. the new season brought a new chef and a new menu. the good: drinks and caesar salad. the wildly overpriced:...truffle mac n cheese the disappointment: steak (of all things) we ordered 20oz bone in ribeye and 33oz piedmontese t-bone for the table. past years these would have been carved beautifully off the bone and served to the table last week, whoever cut the meat had no idea of grain and presentation. chunks of unflavored beef poorly arranged and dropped in the middle of the table. an $800 dinner down the drain so sad!More

We were looking forward to our dinner on a Saturday night at The Four Seasons premier restaurant FLAME. Unfortunately we left very unimpressed. The food was very good, not spectacular, but good enough. The service however was terrible and incredibly slow. We had to waive...down a manager in order to get a drink. The waitresses/waiters were expected to take care of way too many tables. For 250$ a person the Four Seasons has a lot of work to do in Vail. There are too many great options to eat in Vail. We won’t be back.More

Probably one of the most attentive service staff I've ever encountered. I went out on a limb and ordered a item I would not have ordinarily done and it was the BEST decision! Food was perfectly prepared and tasted clean and fresh. A must visit...when you're in Vail!More

I would stress the more casual in the winter than summer comment. Not sure it’s enforced but something like shorts and sandals would not be appropriate during the summer. Definitely more business casual.
