Best fish bbq

We looked at the fish in a few of the bbq restaurants, but the fish here just sparkled with freshness. Super fresh whole pink snapper, the eyes were so clear. Cooked in a masala sauce, and wrapt in layers of al foil to cook over bbq coals. A little bit spicy, but not much. Cooked to perfection, it just fell off the bone. Served with crispy hot French fries and a salad. Perfect meal between 2 of us.

The Best seafood in Arugam Bay

Prices were high worth haggling it down a bit, got charged around 11000 + 10% service for a fish shared between 5 and all parties full. We also got some prawns thrown into the mix after some convincing. Initially we thought the portion of chips was a bit small but they were happy to bring more chips and rice on top of it, which I haven’t experienced at other places along the strip. The fish itself was very tasty and well cooked, the prawns were not to my personal taste but others seemed to enjoy them. As with all fish along the strip you should check the freshness yourself, inspect the gills look at the eyes, and give it a sniff. Which was again nice this evening. I’ve seen many places bring unsold fish back into the kitchen at the end of the night so worth looking before agreeing to anything. This place had the better fish along the strip on this particular evening, but also the best fish I have seen so far for my week and a half on the strip. I would recommend coming here.

Relaxed restaurant with good fish dishes

Good food, good service, fish was fresh and tasty! The waiter was very friendy and attentive, wait time for food is a bit on the longer side but they make everything fresh so that‘s the price you pay.

Great place, fresh food

We are second time in Arugambay, visited again Serendib Arugambay to have dinner, the food is great, especially avocado salad, lots of fresh fish and seafood. Guys are very nice always. Thank you!
