The restaurant is inside the Westfield Century City mall. There are other locations in Southern California and the wait is usually well over 1 hour. We were lucky and only waited 20 minutes. The kitchen area is visible to the public and it is very interesting to see how authentic Chinese dumplings are made and how much work goes into them. Consequently, the food can get pricey but the quality is very high. This is a great place to grab a snack and try out various dumpling creations as well as other authentic Chinese food. This place does a great job of demystifying the old stereotype that Chinese food is mostly fast-food.

If you love Chinese dumplings, you must come here. There is often a long wait so be prepared -it's busy and loud sometimes, and of course not enough wait staff so you'll wait to order and you'll wait for your food. What makes it worthwhile? So many great dumpling choices, all delicious.

Large restaurant and feels a little like a large cafeteria so don’t expect atmosphere here.... Food comes as it’s ready. As you sit down you are given a menu with pictures and a paper like at a sushi restaurant where you fill it out yourself. Few of the items didn’t have identical names and it was a bit confusing as no one explained anything to us. We ordered a few different dishes and they were just ok. The best dish was by far the dumplings in the hot sauce as it had lots of flavor, mildly spicy and full of garlic. Service was ok, not too friendly and not very efficient, seems as though lots of tables were dirty and were not cleaned fast enough. I would only be back if I Wanted some dumplings...

After being told they dont take reservations, I was advised it would be only 15 minutes. When my phone buzzed from a text 30 min later, I was told they were behind and go wait in the lobby. Finally seated, a new waiter came by not too sure of the menu. After the food started arriving, it was obviously pre-prepared and arrived cold. Since we were on a timeline for lunch, we couldn't ask for a new one and just kept it. Over priced for the very small portions, Long wait, and disorganized to handle the crowds, I probably won't be going back. This is the 4th DTF I've been to around the world, and without a doubt the one I prefer least.

If you can put aside that it’s a chain and in a mall, you have to try this place. You walk past the glassed-in kitchen where a bevy of chefs are making a myriad of dumplings by hand to enter the cavernous yet elegant dining room. Our party of 9 ordered a slew of different offerings including the famous soup dumplings that explode in your mouth. Make sure to try the cucumber ‘salad’ (don’t even try to pick up with chop sticks, they have to be speared). We also loved the string beans. Noise level was reasonable, they have wonderful fruity tea drinks that complemented the parade of dishes perfectly. It was also quite reasonable given the amount of food! I’d highly recommend.

Great place for some Taiwanese food, my toddler absolutely loved the dumplings. The menu is extensive and it offers a lot of variety. We had different types of dumplings and buns. Our favorite were the shrimp and pork wontons. A must try. Service was good. Highly recommend booking in advance otherwise prepare to wait for a table for a very long time as the restaurant is very popular.

We had a reservation but still had to wait over 30 minutes for a table on a Thursday evening. Dumplings were yummy but if you don’t eat pork, there are not as many options. We had the jidori chicken dumplings, chicken and mushroom bun, braised beef noodle soup, string beans and chicken wontons in a spicy sauce. Everything was good but we have had better dumplings on the Eastside. Nevertheless probably the best dumplings on the Westside.

This was my first experience trying soup dumplings and it was great. The atmosphere is loud and busy, the service is decent (it could be better), the food is good. I would recommend getting the pork soup dumplings, chicken and mushroom bun, cucumber salad, green beans, and sweet taro bun for dessert!

Waited 90 minutes with high hopes which were dashed by the mediocre food. I liked the cucumbers well enough but no other dishes were in the “wow” category. The noodles were greasy, the hot and sour soup was lukewarm and the crab dumplings tasted like cat food. Really enjoyed our meal at the restaurant in Hong Kong but this place seems more like a PF Changs.

The steamed dumplings were amazing..... oh yea they were amazing. The vegetables dishes were killer.....cucumber, string beans and broccoli. Hands down one of the best dumpling meals I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!!! Well worth the wait and again dealing with the parking garage.

I spend a lot of time in Asia and had my fair share of Dim Sum as I just love it. This is at the same level as I tasted before. The variation is exceptional, great quality and just yummy. It is essential to make a reservation if you are planning to go on a weekend otherwise you will wait for a very long time. It is in a shopping mall but that is not an issue at all. But I do think considering the ambiente, the price for a dinner is a bit high. However with that said, the service was outstanding and nothing to complain. It is just a very large place creating a feeling of eating in a cafeteria. Nevertheless I will visit this place again and can highly recommend it.

I am at a complete loss as to why there are so many good reviews. The food is almost unrecognizable as dim sum, it is so bad. The individual pieces were stuck together with a glue-like starchy coating and filled with flavorless balls of something. We threw most of it away and had to find another restaurant after paying their inflated prices. Shockingly, due to the crowds of people who have apparently never tasted real dim sum before, we had to wait over 40 minutes for this inedible trash.

Had lunch here with friends and the food was good and the service was excellent. Although it was only three of us, we ordered multiple dishes to share and our servers didn't seem at all bothered to keep bringing food to our table. The food was good, we had both meat and vegan since one of my friends is a "vegen" and all the dishes were delicious. We had a noon reservation and didnt have a wait to be seated, which I recommend since it can get very busy. One thing I like about this restaurant is that the food is made fresh. No frozen dumplings or canned broths.

I highly suggest you make a reservation. We were lucky and waited only 30 minutes to sit in the bar area, but there was a 2 hour wait to get a table. The sweet & sour pork baby back ribs just fell off the bone; Kurobuta pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are worth all the hype! Wish we would have ordered more of those! The Shrimp & kurobuta pork wontons and dumplings were both delicious also. We didn't care for the chicken or pork buns as much as the other items we sampled. Would definitely return for the soup dumplings!

We had a fantastic lunch experience here. The menu was very good and the food was delicious. We shared selections across our eight family members and everyone was satisfied with each dish. The service was great and the atmosphere relaxed
