The restaurant so big and spacious ,is like Crab Boil in New Orleans ! ,very casual fun messy finger licking good , ,you choose what seafood items you like and pick your flavour sauce and how spicy you like ,Mamma Mia ,the hot spicy sauce...is so hot you need a less a gallon water to cool down ,!!!! ( oh ! Boy .girlfriend #5 love any kind of HOT Spicy food ! she so happy ! poor me ! TOO hot for my liking !!! ) not a cheap place for dinning ,little pricey, but it is fun and messy way to enjoy for sure it is lot differ then your Fine dinning restaurants ,staff very friendly ,the down side is when the restaurant busy ,waiting time over 1 to 2 hours !!!!!!! not joking ,the best time to go is early week day before 6pm ! delicious !More

Excellent shrimp. We got the mild shabang. The soft shell crab basket was great too. We checked in on Yelp before heading out but there was still a 25 minute wait. If you don’t check in on Yelp, forget it, you’ll be waiting almost two...hours. This location is nicer than the other ones, service is spotty. We waited forever for drink refills.More

Look at the menu, have it explained and order your meal. Its shelled seafood in a plastic bag, made the way you want it. Delivered in a no frills way. French fries may come first and 10 minutes later, the crab lags may come. Your...guest may get their fries and shrimp first and you'll be left waiting while they eat. Its different, but an experience in itself. Items are sold market price. No wine, no beer but real over priced margaritas in a cup and other drinks, no alcohol. Always a line and the flavors offered are amazing. All meals are made to order in in lots of whatever they are cooking at the time. Enjoy. We did. When dinner is over, they take all the contents and scraps left on the table, roll it up and into the trash it goes.More

High energy, busy place, with playful wait staff. They put paper on your table, condiments, limes and little to go snack cups with salt and pepper. You order your flavor of shrimp (4 options), with your choice of cajun seasoning as well. Squeeze those limes...into those salt and pepper condiment holders, and shake!! Peel and dip shrimp in your original bag sauce, then in the lime sauce you created - delish!! We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries which were many to the order, and my hubby loved the jambalaya. No plates, plastic cutlery and paper bowls mean that they just take the napkin holder off the table and they wrap it all in one huge paper pile when you're done. The wait moved fast, and was a fun side adventure on our way home from the airport... succulent shrimp prepared in a bag to your order... bring wet naps, you'll need them before they bring them!! Only negative is they carry no cider despite many beer choices.More

Santa Ana location is my favorite location. They have a bigger space, big free parking lot. I go to boiling crab every time I visit LA, and I can't get enough of it. The shrimp and the snow crab legs in the shabang sauce are...amazing, and you can through a piece of corn with the shrimp, I tried couple of restaurant that serve shrimp the way broiling crab does, but no restaurant can match the boiling crab sauce. The downsides, the wait no matter what time you go is always an hour and plus. Tums or antacid is a must after boiling crab, you can see the oil floating on the top of the sauce, but what I can do, I still love it. Ps don't get their soup, it is more like chili beans than a soup.More

This is not for everyone! However if you love shrimp and other boiled and seasoned seafood this is the place. We love this place! You must peel your own shrimp etc. However, you do get to pick the level of spice. Always fast efficient servers...that are quick to refill drinks and provide more napkins. My family feels like they are at a New Orleans family picnic. Don't dress up or wear something you can't easily wash. Jump in and enjoy the food and experience. Hint--from my daughter--order a bowl of white rice and pour the seasonings from the boil bag over the top. The best!!More

I thought we were going to go out for a nice lobster dinner. The food comes in a bag and the shrimp have their heads on. A cultural experience yes, but not for me.

Food was good and fast service. The food is served different than I would of expected but it made it less messy since must stuff is peel and eat. The raw oysters were just ok so you might pass on those here.

Food was great. Staff very helpful with the selections for food. Would recommend it to anyone. It is easy to get to with great parking. Loved the spicy selection on the sea food. It was all cooked in a bag with our selections of vegetables...and seafood and you just open the bag and dump it in the middle of the table and start eating.More

I had tried another seafood place similar to this but their seasoning wasn't as good. Boiling crab seasoning was right on point. Will def be back.

Went for a birthday party so there were probably about 15-20 people. 2 of us are allergic (including myself). The staff are very concerned about our allergies so they really put the time and effort to make sure the food we got was not mixed...in with all the oils. Our food did take longer than the rest, but I definitely appreciated their hospitality. For everyone else, I know they all loved the different types of crab they ordered!More
