We stopped in for a nice brush before heading out to Universal Studios for the day. We all had a variety of dishes but I ordered the lemon pancakes and a side of bacon. The pancakes were fantastic as they had more than enough lemon...flavor. They were light, fluffy and hit the spot for brunch. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered and our service was great. This place gives you quite generous portion sizes to make sure you definitely don't leave hungry. If you are in the area and are looking for a great breakfast spot this would be a good place to go.More

nothing special the place wasn't busy yet the service sucked. I asked for no ice yet she filled the glass full, my waitress was slow and forgetful and the other guests were complaining to her about not bringing the salad, the food was wrong, wanting...a refill. The cherry pie was uneventful and the salmon was over cooked even though I asked for it to be cooked medium.More

We live on the other side of town but often visit the Bowers Museum a few blocks away and Polly's is a nice place to gab lunch before the long drive home. Polly's is not fancy, but it is pleasant ,the staff is friendly and...helpful, the food is basic but good, prices are good. The dining area is clean and bright. I got a tuna salad sandwich with coleslaw and apple pie, my wife got turkey pie, dinner roll, and peanut butter pie. I have sensitive teeth and this is one of the few times that my request for water that wasn't cold was met. The wait was only a few minutes. There is a bakery where you can buy a whole pie and other treats and preserves and such.More

Polly’s has tasty and inexpensive breakfasts Monday thru Friday. Seniors also get a dollar off their beverages. The Backburner soup and chicken pot pie is delicious. Many specials include a piece of their great pie.

We choose the restaurant for convenient location to meet our friends. The interior has seen better times, as well as the food. The servers were very friendly, patient and gave us first class service.

This is my last time *attempting* to order pies at the Santa Ana location. Let me start off by saying that the service is the worst I have ever seen. This is the fourth time that i order pies and something goes wrong. The first...two times I ordered through your online ordering service. Those two times that I went to pick them up, the employees there told me that for some reason they didn’t have my pies, but that they would have them ready in five minutes. 20 minutes pass by and they FINALLY have my pies. This happened twice!! Okay, I really like the pies so I orgave those two incidents. The third time I, once again, order online. I go to pick up my pies and, guess what? They said I had already picked them up! Excuse me? Then they said that they were taking my word for it and making more pies! I was so shocked at the way that they responded. Well I decided to complain to them because this was the third time. They told me that the next time that I ordered I should call after ordering to check if they even have pies...! What?! So I ordered again today and this time I didn’t pay before hand because I didn’t want that happening to me again. I call And place my order for 6:45. It’s 6:35 and I give them a call again lettin then know that I was going to be ten minutes late and guess what? They told me that I had never ordered pies with them. Unbelievable. They then placed me on hold to talk to the manager for a total of 20 minutes!!! Then they hang up on me. I called again and let them know I was going to call corporate because the way that their treating customers is unacceptable. Don’t come here to eat!More

We stopped on our way to visit Chapman University and I am glad we did. Friendly staff from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Sue brought us out a freshly baked cinnamon roll, which was fantastic. My wife and son both had...a delicious piece of pie. I had probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever tasted, which came with a small bowl of fresh fruit and a warm blueberry muffin.More

Haven't been there for years, but yesterday we went to lunch at Pollys. The food was good, and the service was as well. My husband had the chicken pie (which was different from Marie Calendars, but just as good), I had fish and chips, and...my daughter had a turkey burger The best part of the meal was the pie. We tried the 2 seasonal pies, strawberry lemonade (a lemon cream cheese cake with strawberries) and cinnamon bun pie. They were delicious. We may go back just to buy more pie.More

From the moment I walked in I felt served and valued as a customer! Atmosphere is comfortable and very open. Food offering was varied and seemed adjustable. I had the Spinach Scramble with hash browns.. It was good and cooked to my liking. Vege's seemed...fresh. Coffee was average. Didn't have that long of wait during the lunch hour either. Restroom was fairly clean and kept up. Price was average for that area, I think - about $30 for two customers, plus tip. Parking was adequate. I would eat here again and recommend it for a comfortable friendly lunch experience.More

WE were seated and then waited, and waited and waited to the point where we were getting ready to leave when a server came and asked us about drinks. We gave that order and said we were also ready to order but she walked away...without taking it. When our drinks came, it was with a person who does not take orders... so we asked him to get our server. She finally came over just about the time we were going to walk again. Order taken and then the wait again. Others were seated by the windows after us and got drinks and food before us.. The food was fine and the price ok but I would think twice about going back just because of the horribly slow service... While it was a Sunday after noon, the after church bunch was gone so there was no excuse for the service. The pies in the case looked really good and we had split a piece of apple pie. If you read my review, please give it a thumbs up. ThanksMore

It had been 20 years since I've been to a Polly's. I had one of the seasonal specials for lunch - a brautwurst & sauerkraut sandwich. The sandwich itself was pretty good. I took the suggestion of Kona chips as my side. The chips were...overcooked and not very flavorful. The waiter was split between too many tables. He was as quick as possible, but barely had time to check on us. Sadly I didn't have time for any pie. I would go back again.More

Located on Main Street just north of Interstate 5 and a couple blocks south of the Main Place Mall, this Polly’s Pies is part of a small chain of bakery restaurants in Southern California. It is a large, casual family-style restaurant where the décor is...a touch dated. However, the reason you come to Polly’s for their baked goods, not their décor. We came for breakfast and found a large selection of breakfast combinations. In addition to typical egg accompaniments like bacon, breakfast sausage and hash browns, you can choose from such items as kielbasa, steak tips and potato pancakes. But the items that really distinguish Polly’s are from their baked goods, whether it’s their fresh bread, large biscuits, moist muffins or gigantic cinnamon rolls. If you’re trying to lose weight, this is probably not the place to come – there’s way too much temptation and not all that many diet-friendly alternatives. But if you like to leave a restaurant feeling full and satisfied, you should drop by if you’re in the neighborhood.More
