Drinks were fun, BBQ was amazing. Asada was fantastic. Waiters were pleasant and efficient. Must return soon.

We went for the Sunday BBQ. The patio is a good place to sit. The bbq was eh, not all that great but not bad either. Good service from our waitress. The food was just ok, not too expensive, but average food
Had the tacos and found them delightful. Also enjoyed the outdoor bar area and plan to return this summer when it's warm enough to sit al fresco.
Did not enjoy Lola Gaspar. Had the mushroom tacos, the churro, and chips and guac. The drinks were good, but the food was not very tasty at all. Would not recommend, especially not in search of good Mexican. The restaurant is also too dark.
Well we came here for the farmers market in downtown Santa Ana but since we got here at the last minute everything was wrapping up. So we decided to check out Lola Gaspar and I think we made the right decision eating here. We had...the half pound steak asada with chips and guacamole side of refried beans and a grilled corn. And we washed it down with the delicious mixed drink that was called "always Sunday" I think. I can't wait to go back and try the grouper tacos everybody was ordering them and they look deliciousMore
My wife and I got a rare dinner alone and decided to try Lola Gaspar. The restaurant is cool with a long bar, lots of nook tables, and an outside eating area. We had some aquavit cocktails and several small plates, including shrimp and chorizo...tacos, Spanish octopus, and guacamole and chips. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Service was nice, but a bit slow. I think they need need more waiters. Not a family restaurant, but a great date spot. I will go back.More
Place is cozy and friendly, could use more servers. The food is fresh and the drinks are good but could use better selection of wines. Tacos are yummy and very well done. Bread pudding is great. I like it so much I will go back.
I tried to make a reservation for 3 people, but on Saturday's Lola Gaspar's does not take reservations. We decided to walk in early before the first set arrives. We got there at about 6PM and there were no tables other than the patio. Which...was fine. The waiter later found a nook inside that could sit us. The food was still great from when we remembered the last we had dinner here. Bacon covered dates with blue cheese, octopus, grouper tacos, braised taquitos and the mussels. The mussels were great for cold weather, having a bit of heat from the jalapenos. My son also ordered the cheeseburger, which lasted only 3 minutes with his appetite. He was pretty focused on the burger, meaning it was that good. Overall experience this time was excellent.More
Very popular bar and restaurant scene. The food is excellent and many local folks enjoy the hospitality and good service.
One of Santa Ana's real gems located in The Artists Village, the staff are all artist in there cocktails, food.
Fun place To go with family and friends. Craft cocktails are interesting (be careful - some are strong). Tapas are easy to share from stuffed figs wrapped in bacon, octopus, and child rilleno. We also brought two bottles of a lovely 2004 Spanish wine and...even though the corks were very soft they carefully took the time to safely remove the corks to preserve an excellent pairing we had planned. Desserts were also quite good especially the bread pudding Knocked off a star because they ran out of several items and at least one item needs to be removed from the menu that "they haven't had for a long time." Service was efficient but waitress was a little loopyMore
We visited Lola G on a Friday evening so this place was packed and the wait was over 30 minutes. Let me tell you, that wait was well worth it...the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Our meal started out with the Bacon covered dates,...which were a little sweet and tarty at the same time. Also shared the short rib tacos with my wide, spicy but very good. All their drinks are also very good. I first had the LA Bomba which on the sweet side. Also, had the Mas Fuerte, which is exactly that; a stronger drink. Desserts are very good...save room for desert. Lastly, do not forget about the kids. They enjoyed the restaurant too. I don't think they have a kids menu but they do offer kid size portions. My 8 year old son had their hamburger and he loved it. Overall, an amazing place worth going more than once, twice...and more.More
First, if you are looking for tapas in the pure Spanish sense, this place is not that place. But, if you want great choices of small plates with Latin inspiration, this is that place. The feel is casual, and hip. The wines and beer choices...are great and we enjoyed everyone of the many dishes we tried. Octopus and chorizo, wonderful. Small tacos of all sorts, ditto. Bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese, heaven. Go, it's fun and very tasty.More
We came here for dinner before a show at the yost theatre. There was 8 of us. It's really a small place. They had to sit us outside with such a large group which was fine with us. Everybody ordered something different and nobody was...disappointed. We all said we would definitely come back! Definitely make reservations!More
This restaurant is a "food fashion forward" where plates come out from the kitchen as ready and are meant to be shared. I thoroughly enjoyed the octopus. The presentation and taste reminded me of our recent trip to Spain. The tables are closely packed as...in the European style and there is outdoor seating on bench tables. The bar is fully stocked and cocktails are made to order.More
