My husband loves ice cream so we stopped at Cauldron's on an extremely hot day. They use liquid nitrogen which makes it extremely cold. They mix it in a special mixer and pump liquid nitrogen in it. You can get flowers shaped into it if you ask. The ice cream is very creamy. I ended up with the double shot chocolate. It's a little on the pricey side but if you want a good ice cream and a fun way to watch them mix it, it's worth it.

After having my first liquid nitrogen ice cream a few weeks ago at another place, this experience was so much better. I had the mint chocolate chip and my husband had the salted caramel and they were both delicious and rich. We each got a cup (ask for the rose shape) and the portions were large for one scoop especially for the price and being liquid nitrogen ice cream. One friend got the vanilla cinnamon ice cream with puffle which was delicious as well. We had the cereal milk latte and middle of the earth tea drinks which were tasty too. I can’t wait to go back and try other flavors!

This review is long overdue because it has been over one year since we stepped into this establishment's door. The Cauldron is a terrific liquid nitrogen ice cream place, and it was the first of its kind that we patronized. In fact, I would have to say that they are the best liquid nitrogen ice cream shop that I have ever tried. We have tried quite a few of these kinds of shops since trying this place, So what makes Cauldron better than everyone else we've had? Could it be the flavors we tried? Possibly. The Earl Grey Lavender, Speculoos, Spreckled Vanilla, and Double Shot Chocolate were all delicious! Probably the freshest and creamiest ice cream ever to enter my mouth. Could it be their creativity? No doubt that many of their ice cream flavors are quite innovative. I liked their clever design of shaping the ice cream into a rose (if you ask them nicely). I thoroughly enjoyed their Puffle Cone!! It is extraordinarily yummy! It is the best kind of waffle cone in existence! Pairs great with any ice cream flavor you choose. Cauldron Ice Cream is the place to go for satisfying your liquid nitrogen ice cream craving. No one does it better (that I have tried).

The creamiest, most delicious ice cream! I highly recommend the milk and cereal (sweet but not too sweet cream with a smattering of Frosted Flakes) and the churro puffle cone! The Frosted Flakes add a little crunch-they aren’t throughout the ice cream, they just roll them on the outside of the ice cream, and the cinnamon puffle cone adds a little cinnamon-y sweetness to the ice cream. That little bit at the bottom of the cone when you are almost done...where the ice cream is melty and has mixed with the cinnamon...GO GET ONE NOW!

My younger brother introduced me to this spot. He also introduced me to both Afters, and Joe’s Italian ice. This spot is more comparable to Afters. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and I enjoy the waffle cone. I went with the churros cone, which appear to be the original waffle dusted with cinnamon and sugar. I tried the cauldron flavor, which was essentially vanilla cinnamon ice cream topped with Oreos. Very good combination with the churro cone. I thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream, and found it to be rich and creamy. You can never go wrong with ice cream.

Visited Cauldron icecream in Santa Ana for dessert. A very pleasant addition to the greater orange county landscape. The place was pretty full although it was a weekday, and we had to stand in line for our order. 8 or 9 flavors but all very tempting. You opt for a cup, a sugar cone or a puffle cone. The icecream is nitrogen type. So pretty tasty. And excellent presentation. Good flavours, good ambience, and excellent taste. Average single scoop serving around 6 or 7 bucks.

Yummy and pretty rose shape ice cream with 'Puffle' cones! It was a fun ice cream experience in OC on a warm day in April. We had Earl Gray Lavender and Apple Pie ice cream flavor on a puffle cone with the special touch of a rose shape within the ice cream. It definitely looked pretty and cute at the same time. The minor issue was one of the paper holding containers was not sealed tight and caused melting ice cream to be leaking out of the bottom. Still a good fun and interesting ice cream indulgence. Recommended. Will be back to try more !

Very good ice cream and artistic, too. It is a Levander flavor with a touch of honey. The place is near South Coast Plaza. Me e, youthful and very clean. I shall advise you the ice cream is no cheap for a good delicious reason. I hope you find it good, too.

Best ice cream I've ever had in terms of creativity. Some great combinations and the process is super cool (no pun intended). Not cheap, but not expensive. Cool twist on the waffle cone as well. We will be back!

I don't understand how the ice cream doesn't just instanly melt in hot puff waffle cone. I had the s'mores and my daughter had the H2O rose, both were delicious! Well worth the price for the experience.

Their classic puffle waffle is really yummy. The assembly of ice cream, bananas, strawberries and chocolate make is so artistic you want to photograph it! Devour a plate and lick it clean in minutes. It's magic of sorts!

Talk about creative... Checkout the ice cream flavors they offer (see my pix). I ordered a Vietnamese Coffee, hubbie ordered a milk and cereal (Frosted Flakes!!), my son had a "Caldron" with a giant marshmallow on top, and our friend ordered the honeydew melon. I tasted all of them and wow! The line was out the door when we visited and I can see why. Service was friendly and we were handed our orders promptly. It cost $4.75 for each of our small scoops (in cups). I thought that was a bit high but the "small" scoops were not that small and the flavors were delicious. You can order the ice cream in cups, sugar cones, or puffle cones. The puffle cones look like big brown bubble wrap shaped into cones. They looked like they would taste awesome... But all of us just finished a large dinner so we couldn't do it. I was hesitant to give the place 5 stars... More like 4.5... coz I still think the price is a bit high for a scoop of ice cream served in a cup. But what do know about what is normal in LA... I am from Chi-town. So you get a 5, Cauldron!

My daughter had heard of Cauldron online, so we put it on our "to do" list while we were there on vacation. There was a line to get in the door, but it was worth the wait!! There was a good variety of flavors and we tried the puffcone. The staff also shaped our ice cream into roses (simpler than I thought, but such a fun touch!) and it was delicious. Well worth the visit!

Came here in the evening and we were surprised to see a long line forming outside the doors. Once inside we got to see all their yummy creations. The ice cream was formed into Rose shaped flowers. We tried the Salted Caramel Crunch, Cirque, Speckled Vanilla and Smores. All were heavenly, so creamy and smooth. Highly recommend this place if your in Santa Ana. Friendly service and delicious frozen treats.
