Lots of vegan options! Breakfast/lunch/dinner all day, and open early. Had the vegan Blue Plate Special which was really good. Portion size was decent and the dish was yummy. Great hippy atmosphere and really nice staff. Will def return.

We were in the area and wanted some vegetarian food and Mead’s seemed to be the best option. For $25.00 we got 2 measly “bowls.” I put “bowls” in quotes cuz they don’t use bowls at all. The portion size is very small and pretty...bland. My “bowl” was suppose to have kale and if you count 1 sprig as having kale then good for you. I like to support small businesses but I can’t return.More

Came alone with my 7 month old. They had a few staff members while all were friendly I would have appreciated more offers of help. I asked them to please bring my food to the table, they have a pick up window which when I’m...not alone is no big deal. They totally brought my food to the table which was very helpful however no offer if I need anything else. Like napkins.... I forgot napkins and then had no way to get up without trucking all my stuff up and the baby leaving my food at the table and then go looking for napkins. Luckily I had wipes and just used those as napkins instead. The food was just ok. I had the vegan sandwich and ordered the kids breakfast cereal to see if the little guy wanted to eat. Besides the ambiance which is lovely, I could have gone to Whole Foods and eaten in their cafe for the same price (maybe cheaper which is shocking) and food. I live about 20 min away and would make the drive regularly for amazing but not for meh.More

My brother had the garden veggie burrito (chickpea egg, black beans veggies, onions, mushrooms, really good potatoes, melted vegan pepper jack cheese and a small amount of Pico de Gallo-their spelling). It was rich and satisfying. I think serving a dish of salsa on the...side would be nice. I had the sriracha bomb burger and it truly was… da bomb! Absolutely delicious! The patty was firm and tasty, the slaw spicy and refreshing. Soft and hearty potato bun. YUM!! My mom got the only miss of the menu- she got the breakfast pizza with only bacon, no sausage, no gouda, only mozzarella. The crust was like a good bread but not very pizza-crust like. It was also very dry. There was hardly any cheese and she didn’t like the ‘bacon’. I got sweet potato fries with chipotle ranch to go and they were ROCKING! I wish I lived nearby as I would try everything on the menu. So good- get over there as soon as you can!More

This is a very quaint place that’s only a couple years old. It was my first time. I love the ambience in the menu and the food all looked great. One slight nitpick: I had what was essentially a breakfast burrito. The menu claimed “sausage”...and they said that it was vegan but made no mention that they would be omitting sausage, so I expected sausage. Essentially, what I got was a wrap with tofu scramble and potatoes and occasional onion peas as well as two bits of green pepper and some really good gravy (just not much of it). The potatoes 🥔 were prepared in such a way that I would even consider ordering them as a side with a meal. They were THAT good! The entre wasn’t what I expected AT ALL but was still very good, despite the disappointment. I’d go back again. Lots of pretty coeds, by the way, and one table appeared to be a Tinder date. One had cool shoes!More

What more could one want? Owner is son of the family who owned PJ's Abbey (one of the best restaurants in Orange County for years) and he knows his food. The menu is diverse (with vegetarian and vegan options) and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch...(Sweet Potato Hash and Three Bean Quinoa Chili, with Sweet Potatoe Fries to share). Crowded at lunch time with business people and college students alike, but we found a table at 1 o'clock with no issues. Free Wifi a bonus! And, the vegan carrot muffin with fudge icing that I took home for dessert was the best! Will definitely be back regularly.More

This place is wonderful. I’ve had the Santa Fe bowl and the vegan garden burrito. Fresh, just the right amount of spices, and perfect portions!!! Also eaten the cupcakes and cookie. Again excellent. Service is prompt and the ambiance is fun. Well worth a visit...or two!More

We had breakfast there and found the vegetarian selection to be adequate. My step-son, who is a vegan, really enjoyed his meal. Strangely the toast we order for breakfast didn't have any margarine or butter on it. When asking about spreads were told they didn't...have many to choose from. Not sure what that was about but not enough to discourage us from visiting a second time.More

I recently met a friend at Mead's Green Door Cafe. Although close to Orange Circle it's far enough away that even at lunch time I was able to easily find street parking. As a vegan, I frequently have to be content with salad minus whatever...meat or cheese comes with it, but at Mead's there were many hearty vegan choices. I had a seitan sandwich that was amazing, and my friend had a salad with buffalo cauliflower. If you are in the area, definitely worth it to stop in.More

This is a hopping place. Parking can be a challenge but the food is worth it. We came on a Monday before the lunch rush. Servers were pleasant and swift. The Green goddess juice was just as expected, not too sweet with a kick of...kale. The salads are hearty. The chilled soba noodle salad had a refreshing dressing with a variety of vegetables. The Green power salad, kale and quinoa based, was perfect texture. I found a good mix of sweet with the grapes and savory with the dressing topped off with the crunch of walnuts. Buffalo cauliflower was flavorful without being too spicy, complimented by the savory ranch dressing. If you like your veggies this is the place for you!More
