My husband and I went here last night for a "Date Night." We had to order the food at the take-out counter and find our own table. Trust me this place is not romantic...dark gray floors, TV's in your face, and dark lighting. Food took...awhile to arrive. The plate of zeit and zatar with pita bread arrived rather quickly along with my husband's glass of Malbec (from Mendoza, Argentina for $10). The above plate needed more olive oil. The wine was full bodied and very good. Finally, our food arrived. My lamb and beef kebab with hummus and salad was very tasty. Big serving - could only eat half. My husband's lamb kebab with the same sides was also big. Lamb pieces were mostly free from sinew. We took home about half of our food. There was NO ambience and that tempered our experience. If we ever go again it will be for take-out!!!More

Dishdash continues to maintain top quality service and food. Portions are generous and many folks have a take home meal as a bonus given the abundance in a single serving. Try the Shish Taouk (chicken kebab) or the Shish Kebab (lamb); are both excellent choices...if your enjoy excellent kebabs. Other dishes are likely to please if you enjoy middle eastern dishes. Give the Beriani Dajaj a try, and don't be afraid to experiment. They also have a full service bar and mix an excellent adult beverage. This is a friendly environment. Be prepared for a crowd during the week, as it is a popular after work spot. If you are prepared to dine early, you'll have no issues, otherwise reservations are recommended.More

I have only been in this restaurant only once because I am not into mediterranean foods. I ordered the lamb swarma which is wrap. I did not like the taste but what I enjoyed were the appetizers in small balls with really good dips. Unfortunately,...I don't know what they are called.More

My daughter and I shared an eggplant appetizer and meat dish. There was plenty for two and very delicious. The waiter was polite and helpful and the food came relatively quickly. I would go back again when I am in Milpitas.

Had a business lunch here with colleagues, and was not overly impressed with the limited menu and quality of food. Portions were large, which wasn't great for lunch.

Dishdash serves up a killer Shish kabob The lamb has such a good flavor and I am not sure what is in the green sauce, but it adds to the taste. Love the rice too.

I've had an number of meals here and they have all been excellent. Interesting change to the typical American/Italian/Mexican fare. Whenever anyone offers to take me out to lunch or dinner I suggest we go to Dishdash.

Enjoyed a nice lunch, with a friend. We started with the M'nazaleh with pita bread, then I had the vegetarian wrap, which was large and very tasty, my friend had the Shawarma Lamb, which she said was excellent.Finished up with two deserts, Copa Mixed Berry...Parfait and the Cho-kolata, a sort of chocolate lava cake, both were yummy. No drinks only water, check came to $61.04, so you judge on price. Service was very good so I gave a good tip on top. I thought it was good food and good value for money.More

Recently renovated restaurant in Milpitas. Nicely done dishes, vegetarian friendly. All entrees are delicious. Prices are moderate to high. I believe they went up recently. Limited wine menu. Service is friendly and reasonably quick.

There is a great atmosphere at this very popular restaurant. We visited at 6pm on a weekday and were glad we had booked, as it was packed and people were waiting for tables. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and made some good recommendations. The...portion sizes are huge and well presented. I loved all the fresh vegetables which are lacking so often in American restaurants. Unfortunately I found the food bland with little flavour. I often travel to the Middle East, and frequent Lebanese restaurants in London and was expecting the subtle flavours of cumin, coriander, sumac and zaatar, and a bit of chilli heat, but they just didn't come through. Having said that, it gave me the veggie fix I desired and I had a very pleasant evening. Would go back.More

I went for dinner with a colleague on a weekday at around 6:30pm. The restaurant was very crowded and there was a wait for a table. Fortunately they had some seating at the bar, and we ended up just having dinner there. The wine list...is small but had decent options. I ended up with a pinot Grigio which was quite good. The appetisers as well as the food was very good - we had the maza sampler, combo kabob, mansaf. The desserts were very good too. The place is slightly expensive (it came to about $150 for 2 people) but well worth it.More

If you are going as a large group, I would suggest booking ahead. The wait times can be about an hour plus. The food is good and there are quite a bit of vegetarian choices.
