No Happy Hour Yet!!

First time at Panama Joe's after many years driving past it. Not impressed. No craft beer, but full bar. Inside & outside dining now. Many tables available. Ordered the Fish & Shrimp Enchiladas ($17.75), served lukewarm ... WHY!!! Girlfriend had the Relleno y Taco ($12.99). She loved the Relleno. Large, stuffed and delicious. Largest relleno she has ever seen. The Taco was also massive and looked delicious too. She left home with a doggy bag.

Good quality but too many excipients

Reasonable menu size and attentive staff. Usual Mexican staples available plus a bucket load of drink options; the food quality was excellent - in fact better than most other TexMex - but sadly there were too many fillers in the burrito that the menu didn't have listed.

It's a bar, but sell food and have booths

Cool vibe, this place is a bar, but they have tables/booths and the food is surprisingly pretty good. It's in a busy location, near the beach with lots of shops, bars and cafes.

Poor customer service and bland/ cold food.

Food is extremely bland, and the customer service was lacking. The short little man who is the manager is extremely arrogant and could care less about the customers. Save your money and peace of mind.

Food was amazing!

My husband and I popped in for lunch while on a nostalgic walk down 2nd Street (I used to hang there MANY years ago). We just wanted a quick bite and a beer. I ordered the chicken street tacos and he had the Caesar salad with seared prawns. Both dishes were AMAZING - honestly the best street tacos ever and my husband said the salad was the best he'd ever had. The bartender serving us was friendly but professional and the serve yourself chips and salsa was a really nice touch. Hoping we can make it back there while were in the area.

Fantastic service! Drinks and the chips and salsa are free!!! Claire, our bartender was on top of things all while being friendly and managing the bar well!

The fish tacos were great. The queso was not like the Tex mex im used to but it was great as well. The crowd was nice. Great place to catch a basketball game on the tv.

Awesome place!

First off, the service and atmosphere are fantastic. We originally came in to make a quick stop and discovered an amazing happy hour special of buy one get one. We grabbed a few appetizers which were awesome. The food was so good we decided to stay for dinner where I had the coconut shrimp which was great. Good food, service, and specials are all above and beyond here and would come back next time I am in long beach.

Happy Hours

2nd Street is happening in Long Beach, California. We needed a dive spot for Happy Hours!! We don’t care too much for the food .., Tex/Mex, Chinese, American .., it will do!! We came for the cheap booze!hence Happy Hours! It gets packed all times of days especially during happy hours.. we usually go in with group of 5-9 people. Don’t really know what people are talking about. Have tv for games. We just dive in straight for our alcohol! A little of appetizers to help fill the bellies. A little strict when showing id’s to make sure you are 21. Other than that we have a fun time amongst ourselves.

Excellent Food - Outstanding Service

Went there for dinner on Monday night. Had the fajitas combination special. All the meats (beef, chicken and shrimp) had excellent flavor. We (my wife & I) shared 1 order and it had plenty of food for us. Best food bargain in town. Service was very good.

Good place to watch the game

We were walking by last night NOT rocking our "out of town team's colors" but were still ID'd as rooting from the Boston entry and welcomed into a group of Dodger fans to watch a bit of the World Series game last night. Fun place with fun people. Didn't have time for a beverage and had just eaten so can't vouch for the food and drink but the atmosphere was great with lots of televisions tuned to the game!

Last night in Belmont Shore spoilt

We were seated next to a very loud rude and obscene party despite booking a booth. As a result the staff neglected us, they seemed to be friends with the other party who quite honestly should have been asked to leave. Food was great and good value being happy hour, but the lack of service totally let the side down. Half an hour to correct a mistake on the order and exceptionally slow service compared to a visit two weeks ago to the day Get you act together or lose business, preferably get some different staff

Absolutely vile staff.

I feel like the staff in this establishment really struggle with the concept of customer service. Rude, unhappy & aggressive, they don't like tourists which is ironic, Brits especially. If you're on holiday, this haunt will ruin your entire trip & drain your soul. Never again!
