About
Established in 1993, King’s Fish House is Long Beach’s choice for seafood. Located at the corner of E. Broadway and Pine Ave., King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily. We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built. Come gather with us, celebrate, relax and enjoy a seafood dining experience of high quality, comfort, service and value.

Relaxed vibe, busy venue but the food was spot on. Lots on the menu for everyone and so realistically priced: we had the chicken, garlic mash, glazed carrots and jus and it was really good. The service was faultless and it seems like a really popular place to visit. The fish menu was extensive as you would expect at a fish house, all meals looked amazing

This restaurant never fails to deliver great service and delicious food. From the interior decor to the friendly service to the meal presentation to the delicious food, it is all first rate. Today, Erin provided fast, friendly service and I had another great dining experience. The food is always fresh and prepared exactly as ordered, and it’s a nice feeling to know you won’t be disappointed here in any way. Thank you again, Erin…….I will be back again very soon!

I stopped by for a quick lunch and was not expecting anything too over the top but I was expecting a good meal given the reviews. We were seated immediately and for the most part, service was attentive throughout. The sourdough bread starter was decent and the butter accompaniment was good I ordered the mahi mahi and the Tuna. The mahi mahi was okay but seemed slightly dry and felt under-seasoned. The tuna was just okay, it didn't look like a medium rare and also felt dry similar to the mahi mahi. The sides fared a bit better, the mashed potatoes had a solid taste, the butter did not intrude on the flavour profile of the potatoes and the garlic overall elevated the dish. The corn was okay but felt a bit sweet for my liking. The macaroni and cheese was a let down, it lacked discernible cheese and was dry. The zucchini was okay but under-seasoned, however I suppose that's how vegetables usually work as sides. Generally speaking, the food was unspectacular at best and middle of the road at worst and it wasn't particularly cheap either.

My sales rep recommended this place since he ate there earlier in the week. We ae at the bar like he did a couple nights before. His service that night was good, this night the staff behind the bar did a poor job. Inattentive and smart mouthed as well. Not impressed! Had to ask multiple times for things we requested when we ordered something and first got a smart a.. response form the staff behind the bar each time before getting act we requested. Unbelievable customer service. Insult the customer. Not a smart idea to anger the one who tips you. The service was slow throughout the meal including clearing empty plates. I ordered their 1/2 pound of pealed shrimp which comes with their version of cocktail sauce. The sauce had way too much pepper in it that it overwhelmed the flavor of the sauce and shrimp. I also ordered their crunchy wedge salad. Small but crispy. Not enough salad dressing but sure was not going to request anything since our servers behind the bar could care less to check up on us or had tome to stop by to see if everything was okay. My buddy had the Macadamia Crusted Halibut. He said it was good but would not order again. He ordered an Evan Williams Cocktail which cost $14.00, really? On the upside which did not help us, the server working the bar the night he came stopped by, remembered him, emailed unlike our two working behind the bar and asked how everything was going. Why could we not have had her this night. Well ,checked the box on this one if this is the type of service one would expect. The two servers that night need to do a better job since they live off tips.

My scallops were served almost cold and my wife's cooked greens were cold. This was a mid-week visit and an early dinner, aka 5-5:30 PM. No crowds. I'm fussy eater and expect a simple meal like scallops to be great. Few restaurants screw up scallops.

Kings Fish House was an excellent find for me. I stayed at the Renaissance hotel which is maybe a 3 min walk away. I made a reservation on open table and there was plenty of availability. I was seated at a nice booth andy waitress Hannah was very attentive and sweet. Im from Virginia so I wanted an oyster I could only get on the Pacific coast. She recommended the Kumomoto oysters and they did not disappoint. They were plump with a smooth texture and the perfect combination of salty and sweet. I ate a whole dozen by myself. I also ordered the beet salad and a side of fries. The sourdough bread was amazing too. A meal fit for a KING! I will definitely be back when I come back.

We meet a work associate here for dinner and we were not disappointed. Parking is street side but there are some public lots very close by. Location is handicapped accessible. We were seated in the main dining area and a waiter immediately came over to check on us and take our drink order. After looking over their extensive menu we settled on grilled scallops and shrimp, the fried platter and the fish tacos. All of these choices were delicious. We started out with grilled octopus which was done just right and was out of this world good. Wait staff was very attentive. We had a reservation so we’re seated upon arrival. Lovely atmosphere with good lighting. Location has a full bar. We will return here on our next visit!!

Had my first experience with sand dabs and wasn’t disappointed. Waiter recommend and it is a very light white fish. Breading and seasoning were excellent. The grilled zucchini was very good and serving was huge. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. Staff was very friendly, helpful and on top of everything.

We found this gem within walking distance of our hotel. We didn't have reservations but they fit us in. (We will be sure to reserve on our next visit.) The food was so delicious and the prices reasonable for really good seafood. There were 4 of us and we all loved our food! Three of us had the house made mac & cheese and OMG, so good. We had swordfish, panko fried shrimp, grilled shrimp and scallops at our table.

My first time at King’s Fish House and it was a treat. I ordered the Seafood Combo Platter and was disappointed that it was all fried, but I should have asked. The meal was saved by the incredible butter cake. The waitress did an incredible job of explaining all the desserts and we made the right choice.

Anyone who is a fisherman will love this restaurant with old photos of fishing trips with big fish. The restaurant has a menu with the largest variety of fish and seafood I've ever seen. Whenever I go to California, I like to eat fish because the variety of fish is incredible, such as Alaskan salmon, whiting, flounder, shiners, etc. In addition to fish, there are also oysters and seafood, crab, lobster. I ate grilled Alaskan salmon and grilled artichokes. They were great.

The place was crazy busy! The staff was very attentive and the food was amazing . The octopus was perfect, salmon risotto was out of this world, and the sea bass was awesome. If it didn’t take me 6 hours by plane I would be back weekly.

Had a most enjoyable dinner at this restaurant last week with friends. It was an easy stroll from the hotel and the perfect choice. Service was outstanding, food was delicious and the atmosphere was enjoyable. No wonder my friend ate dinner here 4 days in a row! The New England clam chowder was excellent and the parmesan crusted sand dabs (flounder) was incredible.

Large attractive dining room. Even though we had a reservation they put us in the noisy bar. Big variety of fresh fish at "normal" prices. Good quality. Handy location.
