Have been going to this restaurant for years. But lately, I have actually had Los Angeles friends tell me that they had heard it was worth a trip down to Long Beach to eat here. My favorite is the Vegetarian entree, with a combination of...hummus, baba ganouj, tabouli, felafel, stuffed grape leaf and lots of pita. Each part of the dish is beautifully prepared, and the whole plate is a completely satisfying meal, in every way. The restaurant gets very crowded on the weekend evenings, so be prepared to wait. Every time we visit friends in Long Beach we grab the opportunity to have lunch or dinner at Open Sesame. The service and food has remained consistent over the years to our delight. Everything on the menu is worth a try. We have our favorites...and we’re sure you after trying Open Sesame you will too. We really enjoy splitting the meat combination plate too. Comes with salad and hummus. BTW: The fried cauliflower is an excellent choice for an appetizer. One order is enough for two.More

high class dishes, their menu is wide with vegan, vegetarian and full meat dishes - we Shared some dishes and all where great. You need to like garlic :-) than you need to taste the potatoes as starter. The dishes are consistently fresh, the service...towards the customers is very friendly. Highly recommended.More

I absolutely love this restaurant. A romantic atmosphere with delicious food... My favorite is the grilled halloumi cheese and watermelon salad and grape leaves. Dine-in or take-out, always a great experience. Fresh and yummy. Great service.

We surprised a friend with a birthday celebration. We were seated promptly and our server was great. The food was delicious and a great ambience. I recommend this place.

Came to eat at this restaurant for dinner on date night. I love Mediterranean food and this food was really really good. The service was great the waitress was very friendly. We did not have to wait very long to be seated or to be...served our dinner. The only reason I didn’t give the restaurant five stars is because dogs are allowed in the restaurant and that kind of grosses me out while I’m eating my food. Overall good experience and I will probably be back for the food. Also the ambience was good and we got seated right by the street so is nice to people watch during dinner.More
