Had dinner after a show at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Wait staff very attentive easy to get a table. Steak and oysters were excellent. The bartender was able to find the best Cabernet to have with the meal.

Excellent service - attentive but not intrusive. Stoli Doli, fresh bread, oysters, filet mignon (prepared to temperature as ordered), and French fries were all excellent. CHEERS on a job well done! Free parking in large mall outdoor parking lot. Valet service available.

Old school grill that is popular for business meals and special events. Stairs to get to the restaurant so beware if you have limited mobility.

My wife and I, and two other couples, visited Saturday night for the Generous Pour and a combined anniversary and birthday celebration. Erika was our bartender/server and Fernando was assisting. We had chatted with Erika about our visit a week or so previously and she...said she would make it special. Actually, she hit it out of the park!! Thank you so much for going above and beyond! The lovely note, roses for the ladies, and table sparkles really set the evening! Four of us opted for the Generous Pour. The wines were all delightful and delicious! Our starters ranged from Blue Point Oysters to Prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella and Lobster Bisque to Caesar Salad. Main courses were Filets to Sea Bass and Roasted Chicken to Pan Seared Salmon. We also enjoyed a few sides as well! All of the courses were well presented and delicious! Amazingly, we still had a little room left for desserts of Coconut Cream Pie and their Celebration Desserts! We cannot say Thank you enough to Erika and the rest of the team at Capital Grille! What an evening to remember!More

Just took my wife for our 10th anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. She is fanatical about superior steak, and her filet mignon was perfectly rare and three inches thick. One of the best steaks she’d ever eaten. The atmosphere is formal yet fun,...and every part of this place says “steakhouse.” Our waiter was also very cheerful and helpful. All I did was type a note in our reservation stating it was our anniversary, and we found our table covered in hearts and prepared with a rose for her. We also received a free anniversary dessert platter with two different treats. The price for both our meals was $150, which is WAY more than usual for us, but I do not regret any part of it. With steak, you get what you pay for.More

Our first visit since just after Thanksgiving and for the new year. My wife and I truly enjoyed our visit The Capital Grille. We used OpenTable for our 3 PM reservation today to visit the lounge. We were lucky that there was space at the...bar, and our favorite bartender, Greg, was there. We truly appreciate Greg‘s professionalism and friendliness as he guides us through truly wonderful dining experiences while make delicious adult beverages!! My wife and I open with adult beverages, a raspberry lemon drop for her and a double Oaked Manhattan for me. Absolutely yummy! After the bread service delivery, we opened with a shrimp cocktail and a Caesar salad. I enjoyed the majority of the shrimp cocktail and my wife the Caesar salad. For our lunch my wife ordered the tenderloin sliders and I the luncheon filet mignon pepper crusted with sauce and creamed spinach. Our meals came out at a very reasonable pace, which we enjoyed, as we were able to kibitz a little bit with our friends. My wife’s tenderloin sliders were cooked to perfection as well as my filet mignon. I must say it’s one of the best dishes on the lunch menu! We both went for a glass of wine with our lunch and closed our lunch with crème brûlée. All-and-all a wonderful experience!! Thank you Greg!!More

Without a doubt, the best experience we’ve had at a Capital Grille, and we’ve been to a few.. From the arrival greeting to the awesome service, and great food this was an excellent dining experience. Bryan, our server, made our dining experience something beyond just...a dining experience by genuinely attending to us like we were the only ones there. Food was beyond good, it was great as was the service from everyone. We’ll be back soon.More

Honey and I have a date night every Saturday, A year ago we used to be Mastros people but their disregard for customers led us to Capital Grille. Now we are there a couple of times each month usually at table 10 with the bartenders...who have won our loyalty with their care and service. Tonight Seth was awesome. Suggested some great wine, paced our meal perfectly and was completely ok with my ridiculous knee scooter. Food was awesome, service continues to be revenue driven but delivered with heart, and everytime I spend $400 for 2 I think I get great great value. Thanks Seth for a nice eveningMore

Welcomed to our table with confetti and a rose as were ‘celebrating life’ and a break from Covid doldrums. Waiter Michael made the evening even more special with prompt, attentive service while also allowing us plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and food. His...ten years of Capital Grill experience speaks volumes too about the company and the value it places on staff. With the mini shakers delivering perfect martinis we ordered the calamari with peppers. Zesty starter. Michael confidently described the menu and chef’s specials. My wife stuck with a 10 Oz filet while I ventured into the Sea Bass having never tried the CG seafood selections. Both excellent. The atmosphere is clubhouse fine. Same consistent food and service as we have always enjoyed in Capital Grill restaurants throughout the US.More

Another lunchtime visit another terrific experience! Using OpenTable for reservations, my wife and I decided to enjoy our lunch at the bar. Greg doubled as a bartender and waiter taking superb care of us and the rest of his guests. We opened with adult beverages...that were delicious! A blackberry bramble sidecar for me and a fresh raspberry lemon drop for my wife. Both delicious! For starters, my wife enjoyed a Caesar Salad and I their Shrimp Cocktail. The salad was crisp and my shrimp were huge and poached to perfection! For our main course, my wife decided on their Signature Cheeseburger and I their Cobb Salad. Both absolutely delicious! My wife and I decided to enjoy wine with our lunch. I took advantage of their Generous Pour and my wife the Pinot Noir Rosé off the the Generous Pour list. The Generous Pour is a wonderful way to sample some very yummy wines at a reasonable price; 7 wines for $29! Our lunch was superb! Greg’s professional and friendly care was the highlight of a delicious lunch and great beverages! Looking forward to our next visit!More

Capital Grille is a fine dining restaurant in Costa Mesa, California. The food, service, and ambient are all good. Yesterday, I had dinner with some business acquaintances. It was my first time at this restaurant since the pandemic. I came to this restaurant many times...in the past. The hostess and the staffs were very friendly and professional. Our server, Jamie, had a good smile and very attentive. I had the Stoli Doli, their signature martini since 1991. It was very refreshing. The Doubled Cut Smoke Bacon with Tomato Jam was a delicious appetizer. It reminded me my favorite Cantonese Char Siu (BBQ pork) but with smoky favor. The African Lobster Tail was sweet and tender. The Dried Aged NY Strip, Bone-in Ribeye were all good. Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert. Capital Grille is my favorite steak restaurant in Costa Mesa.More

Another visit, another superb experience! My wife and I stopped in for Friday Funday lunch at the bar/lounge using OpenTable for our reservation. We were very pleased that there was two vacant spot at the bar that we were happy to fill! Gregg was our...bartender and Pedro stopped by to welcome us back. As usual, Gregg’s service was spot on, professional, and friendly! We opened with a couple of adult beverages, my wife a Raspberry Lemondrop and a Double Oaked Manhattan for me. Both beverages extremely yummy! After settling in, Gregg to our order. My wife decided on the Tenderloin Sliders with Truffle Parmesan Fries & Caesar Salad while I opted for their Wedge Salad (chopped and tossed) and a Crock of French Onion Soup. As bread service was delivered, we ordered wine. Our meals came out perfectly as requested. Delicious! For dessert we decided for their fresh sorbet of strawberry and cherry. So happy to see people out and about, enjoying a Friday afternoon lunch! We look forward to our next visit!More
