Terrible food quality and experience

On the way back from Petra by night, we visited this restaurant for dinner. The owner recommended Mansaf, Mixed Grill, and a few other dishes, and we ordered them all. There were overcooked meats in the mixed grill (clearly reheated). When we complained to the...owner, he came to the table, looked at the mixed grill, shrugged, and walked away. We were clearly dissatisfied with the food, but he didn't seem to care about it or the service that he provided. Overall, I recommend skipping this place and going to another restaurant nearby. Jordan has amazing food, but this place spoils it.More

Amazing and authentic food!

Absolutely the best meal that we had while visiting Jordan! And, it’s only a two minute walk from the entrance to Petra. The local food here is both authentic and delicious. I had the Lamb Kofta, which was absolutely amazing! The lamb was so tender...it fell off the bone, and the yogurt sauce was smooth and full of flavor. The portions were larger than expected, so be prepared for a big meal. Service was very good and the owner came to check on us several times. Also, they were very thoughtful in preparing two special local vegetarian dishes for my wife, which was greatly appreciated! I would highly recommend this authentic local restaurant when you are visiting Petra.More

I was invited to help flip the pot.

Oh my goodness, I think I had my favourite meal here during our 3 week visit to Egypt and Jordan. Our driver preordered our meal ( as it takes a while to prepare and cook) I believe it’s called Maqloubeh. Cooked in one pot and...the pot is turned over in front of us. Layers of deliciousness!! I had the mint lemonade which was the best I’ve tasted so far😊. The proud owner/chef uses only the freshest ingredients and has over 20 years experience.More

Excellent breakfast

Delicious and reasonably-priced breakfast! We were the only people in there at 8:30am. Highly recommend. Couldn’t find a cheaper / better breakfast in Petra.

Great food at good prices

Fantastic food, we let the waiter pick for us and he brought over the 2 National dishes of the country. The food was really tasty and we enjoyed trying something new. The staff are all very friendly too.

All good stuff

The service is friendly and attentive. The venue is spic’n’span and gleaming. I think we ordered well - lentil soup, hummus, tabouleh, roasted chicken with roasted vegetables, baklava & espresso coffee for dessert. The food wasn’t “amazing” but it was all good fare that had...been nicely prepared. The hummus and the espresso coffee were the standouts.More

Best food in Jordan so far

Had the Tagen with lamb, humus with meat, falafel and tomato stew (forgot the name). It was all really tasty with great service. Everything is made fresh!

Fantastic Petra night

We had a brilliant dinner time here. The season was off and there was another couple in the restaurant. Restaurant staff were very kind, food presentation was great and taste is fantastic.

Super delicious traditional food

I rarely leave a review for a restaurant but felt compelled to leave one for this place. The food was the best quality and taste we had in all of our travels in Jordan, not just Petra. The food is made fresh, cooked perfectly and...the taste is unreal. Absolutely delicious. Well priced and good sized portions. The owner is lovely and super friendly. We liked it so much we went back a second time. Try the Arabic lentil soup, Lebanese chicken and the showstopper dish - Mansaf (National Dish of Jordan), you won’t regret it. Also serves a range of coffees including Illy coffee and tasty Arabic desserts.More

Best place to eat near petra

Palm Court Restaurant - Where flavors come alive in Petra.

We recently visited the Palm Court Restaurant in Petra, it was me and two other foreign friends that went for lunch, our experience was so incredible that I had to revisit the place again during my stay in Wadi Musa. The place was immaculately clean...and the staff, led by the owner Mohammed and his 25 years of experience, were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant itself had recently been renovated and it offered us a wide variety of fresh delicious food, catering to both local and foreign flavors. The flavors were authentic and the dishes had truly exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was very inviting and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Palm Court Restaurant to anyone visiting Petra. It's a culinary gem that surpasses expectations with its exceptional food and service. Petra’s best food choice
