Had a wonderful birthday dinner.
The staff was incredibly welcoming.Everything was explained so well when each course come out.
The wine selections were great and I was offered something else if I didn't like was what chosen bat the parings worked so well with the food.
Excellent dining experience !

We enjoyed the experience of having dinner in Dvorec Zemono. Staff is friendly, and they take good care of you. You have a choice of 3-6 plates, and you can decide after each course if you have had enough or you would like another main class. They have homemade Gin and a great selection of local wines.

Three if us had the absolute pleasure of visiting this establishment and enjoying the most wonderful meal. What a tremendous surprise. The food is typically of the area which is just what one would expect from such a place and complimented by very fine wines and OUTSTANDING staff. After several dishes we decided on having a plate of BEAR!! I know I know but once it had been explained that these animals are too many in the area and are culled under strict licensing we went ahead. I would not necessarily rave about it as it could be any red meat really but it was an experience never the less. Most pleasant surroundings in comfortable and relaxed ambiance. Good easy parking. Well known for their own gin and their own tonic too it honestly was a lovely day out and no surprise they are revered in the area and across the Itlaian border as they are. I cant wait to go back.

The whole story is very original and it is not without reason that it is a Michelin star restaurant. Apart from the cooking staff, the rest of the staff is at the very top level. The food is a fusion of local food in a couple of courses, from appetizers to desserts at the end. The waiters are very ready and explain everything that is on the plate and they are always close to you and always jump in. Now finally the food! two days after that lunch, we are still talking about that originality on the plate and everything we ate. The appetizer is original because you have to turn the plate over and continue eating. A dessert like a gin and tonic and they bring to your table pine needles that release steam (original and it took a lot of effort!) The terrace with a beautiful view! All in all, top marks!

Last Saturday I visited Dvorec Zemono - Gostilna pri Lojzetu.
I was accompanied by my husband. It was a very typical November day, gray and rainy yet it turned out to become a very pleasant day. .
We went there to experience 'Tasting menu with wine accompaniment'.
3 hours of pure pleasure! We had 7different courses each covered with a new superb glas of wine.
The owner of the one Michellin star chef TomaĹľ KavÄŤiÄŤ welcomed us. The staff was very kind and everything went on very smoothly. In the end I was very supprised that we spent there more than 3 hours.
Every course was a suprise and a kind of art work of the chef and his team. We tasted home made cheese on red wine reduction with home made mayonnaise, a special burger that was a kind of foam, sea food in a kind of stone (eatable) :), bear, ravioli filled with duck pate, beef cooked 16 hours on a very low temeprature, ...
Desert: we had lemon - gin sorbet. Than we had a kaki parfait with chestnut mousse and a plate of different small pastries.
Once again I have to emphasize the excellent choice of the wines combined with each course.
Congratulations Mr. KavÄŤiÄŤ! Hope to visit you soon!

First time visiting a Michelin-starred restaurant. We chose the 6-course menu, the food was unique and delicious. The staff was highly professional, service top-notch, and the chef personally came to our table several times to present the dishes. A very interesting experience.

Lovely restaurant also gluten free. We went to this wonderful restaurant last night. The staff is very kind and super professional, the place is welcoming and elegant. The food we tasted was excellent. I recommend being directed by the chef who, with his kindness and professionalism, recommended the truly delicious vegetables. Excellent value for money. A five-course lunch, with sorbet and dessert at the end, which really made it worth choosing this restaurant for a pleasant Sunday with friends. The quality of the food is undisputed, the technique is clearly visible in every single dish of the chef, as is the love and passion that he puts into it. He welcomed us in person and it was he who explained each of his creations. Allow me to give some advice: a little more attention to the service, because in a starred restaurant you don't expect to see the chef putting his bare hands in the dishes, to arrange the "last minute" composition (it would be better to do it with some gloves and in the kitchen). But other than that, really great welcome and wonderful place both inside and out.

Always always a safety. I have been frequenting this place for over 20 years. Maybe if you visit it often you risk finding it a little repetitive, but the quality of the food, the service, everything is always perfect. The attention of the waiters in the wine service is impeccable, discreet and rapid. The succession of dishes is a balanced crescendo without flaws. His really interesting Gin was also appreciated. A wonderful environment in nature, all in flowers and an enchanting view of the mountains. The service was excellent and fast. The food had a great taste, which gives you that feeling when you definitely enjoy the atmosphere and the food. We definitely recommend it to everyone because we will be back for sure. Thank you!!!

This was our favorite restaurant on our 12 day tour of Slovenia and we dined at many of the country's top restaurants. The food was excellent and beautifully presented with a very creative flair. The chef was very personable and he visited each table to serve some of the courses. The dining room is elegant and sophisticated. We would definitely return.

Best restaurant and best wine pairing that we have had in a very long time. Absolutely superb!!
Location in countryside is worth making a trek to reach.
The food is delicious and approachable. It has a Michelin star, but yet the chef (who is adorable) has not succumbed to the esoteric experience that one sometimes finds.
The sommelier had excellent wine pairings with each of our 5 courses. The wines are all Slovenian, which we particularly enjoyed.
Cannot wait to return!
