Cannot speak highly enough of More Than a Drop! Beautiful rooms, delicious food and kind, attentive staff. We took a cooking class with Chef Martha and learned how to cook a variety of local dishes and I highly recommend that if you have time. The fact that on top of all this they are providing education to all the young women on property makes this, in my opinion, the best place to stay in Moshi!

This was the best food I had in Tanzania (I'm a vegetarian). It was creative, fresh, healthy, and packed with flavor. If only every place we went to in Tanzania had food like this.... My husband, a true carnivore, also loved this place because we appreciate healthy and fresh food. It doesn't get any better than this. If you are staying in downtown Moshi, just grab a TukTuk and you will be there in five minutes. It is worth the effort to come here, support their cause, and have a tasty dinner.

We had a wonderful dinner. The entire meal was freshly prepared, with many ingredients coming from the own garden. The friendliness of all the staff and students/children around was outstanding. We felt very comfortable in the small garden and would come back in a heartbeat.

What I particularly loved about this restaurant was that they only offer vegetarian food and also have a Mocktail on their regular menue. The waitresses (students in their year of vocational training) are very attentive and caring, but at the same time discreet and unobstrusive. Normally, I am very stressed whengoing out for dinner, but the scenery, staff and size of the restaurant really made me relax and enjoy dining.

We came here two nights in a row for dinner. Very nice seating area and what was the most outstanding of our visit was the friendly people running the restaurant. It is a great concept so you even do good by just visiting and eating there. On the first night we asked for a local meal which wasn’t even on the Menü but it was no problem and they served Ugali for us with vegetable. The second evening we tried Lasagne and Ravioli with Pesto which were both very delicious. The starter are great. I can highly recommend the Samosa as well as the Masala Chai Tea to finish off. Overall, amazing experience and nothing to complain about at all.

We stayed in Moshi for 10 days and visited this place four times! Amazing food, place and people! Usually the food comes in a reasonable time, but one night it took a bit long. The fact that they help young people educate themself while working is really cool. I would recommend this B&B for your next trip to Moshi. The burger was just great!

I brought my tour group of 25 to More Than A Drop for the second year. The setting in the garden is beautiful, and the staff (predominantly students in this vocational training program for hospitality) did a very good job handling the beverage and food service for such a large group. The vegetarian fare (a buffet that had been arranged in advance) was delicious and unique, the ambiance of the space was great, lighted by many candles, and my travelers very much enjoyed the experience. There is a good selection of beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages at very reasonable prices. I will continue to bring groups to this place.

Very beautiful place in a tropical garden. The food is amazing, we were impressed by the freshly made pasta, which tasted just as good as in Italy. Staff is very friendly and it is nice to see the students learn on the spot. Very welcome vegetarian dishes after eating quite some meat on excursions.

My colleagues have eaten here a few times and they suggested coming here for lunch today. The menu is vegetarian and not extensive but the food we had was delicious. We shared the steamed buns and momos for starters and 3 of us had the spinach ravioli and 1 had the tagliatelle for the main along with a few glasses of white wine. We could not fault the food or the service. Probably the best meal I've had in Moshi! We will be back soon!

This is not a hotel, this property is a low-end hostel with shared bathrooms but they charge the hotel feel and is managed very poorly. There is no body-towel, no decent soap in the bathrooms, instead of liquid soap they put bar soap which is not a good choice during pandemic in a public bathroom. They don’t provide blanket, you only get a thin sheet, the lights in the room don’t work so you are in darkness at night. The front desk manager is a mean rude bitter lady. The second day the water totally was shut off in the toilets and bathrooms from 2 pm till night. If you ask for extra service they ridiculously over charge. They asked for $15 USD to wash couple of t-shirts. I found a local driver referred by another guests to take me to the waterfall at a fair price, I asked the front desk to talk to the driver to set the time using my phone, the staff hung up the phone on the driver and told me to use the driver she referred whose fee was triple. You can’t trust the front desk manager at all. I’ve been traveling for ten days in Tanzania so far and everywhere I stayed people were kind, honest and super helpful. This manager is an exception and does not represent what you usually see in Tanzania. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It seems the owners have good intention for giving opportunity to young girls in hospitality business and train them here but I think the owners live in another county and they are not aware how horrible the current manager is treating the guests.

Dear Maryam, thank you for copy-pasting the review you left on Booking on TA. it is as you wrote in your message: "I make it my mission to let every traveler know what a horrible manager you are and how mean you treat the guests". This is a personal revenge against one of our team member. and the fact that you leave the review for the restaurant and not for the B&B speaks for itself. We are honest people, treating everybody with respect and kindness, you included. As for the fake and also offensive information you continue to propagate: low-end hostel? we earned the highest scores because we do what we do with passion and with love (we are a hospitality boarding school for adolescent girls, restaurant and B&B are their practice places). Everything was very bad in your eyes, and yet, you did extend your stay; why? There indeed was a cold water issue in some areas of the B&B. The problem could be solved in a few hours and you were able to take your shower. We know how unpleasant it is and deeply regret this incident. You stayed that night and refused to pay for it. We think that this is unfair. Getting low prices for transportation, etc is possible, especially these days but this is taking advantage of people in need. Wishing you all the best, and thank you again for your review. we can always learn.

I stayed at the hotel for over two weeks. I ate at the restaurant nearly every day as it was the best food in Moshi. Even not being a vegetarian the food is very good and healthy. The staff were great during my entire stay. They were very accommodating and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend the restaurant and lodge for anyone who is visiting Moshi. The views and the set up outside is quite enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good healthy fresh food with great service in a beautiful setting.

Absolutely superb experience. We are strictly kosher.... they are strictly vegan... the transition was simple. Service, ambience and food quality were excellent and, for a western purse, great value too. Moreover the owners have a wonderful social agenda which just adds so much value to the visit. NOT TO BE MISSED , also for non-vegans!!
