After our flight was delayed we decided to have lunch at Cappello which was just across the road from the airport. Whilst the food was OK, we later found out that our credit card had been charged twice for our meal. The waitress told us...that the first attempt to pay had a "Fail Connection" . She handed us back the card and then took the portable pay machine outside and came back and told us she could not give us a copy of the failed connection receipt. So we tried the card again and it went through. It was not until we got back home to Australia (two days later) that we saw that both transactions had been successful. Lesson learned is that if they can't produce the failed connection receipt don't pay again.More

We decided to have lunch there having just arrived and that it was across the road from the Airport. There was no power and no water. The steaks we ordered were terrible. I had a T-bone which was cut not even 1cm thick and they...threw another piece of meat with it on my plate. My colleague had a rump steak and that too was very disappointing considering the place is right next to the Airport and gets international guests coming in for a meal.More

While at the Maun airport you are quite limited with food options. Cappellos is right across the street so very convenient. It will be a temporary home to passengers and plots waiting for the next flight. You will appreciate the air conditioning! Food was average...tasted...like it was prepared from frozen. That being said, it'll do if you find yourself needing a meal at the Maun airport.More

The restaurant is located opposite Maun airport. The service was efficient, with a smile and quick. The staff clearly have customer service at the centre of their model. The menu is varied with good choice for most types of food. I had the thai fried...vegetables with freshly baked naan. I ordered extra peri peri sauce to add a bit of spice to the meal.More

Being close to the airport is its only real appeal. The food was not that great, overpriced, and it took forever to get it after ordering. I didn't go inside, it was too dark.

They are in effect a night club and should hide this as far as possible when wanting to attract day-visitors: It is rather dark inside, service is slow although food is not too shabby. If you are waiting for a flight and want a quick-coffee...you will be ok, but otherwise the interior is not that of a coffee-house.... You can be seated outside which makes it a bit friendlier....More

We had a great sandwich and even a better coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was really enjoyable

I used to eat at Capellos regularly when they first opened, but with time my visits became less frequent, I found the food pricey and the service poor.

A franchise chain restaurant based out of South Africa. The menu has something for everyone and they were all average. Staff are friendly and Cappello opens at convenient hours while other local restaurants are closed over the weekends.

The restaurant and menu looked very appealing. The service was but ok but the food was far from expected.

I did not make it to the food so perhaps others have enjoyed this new addition to the Capello chain. Having been corralled in by one of eight young waiting staff standing on the street, I ordered a cocktail and requested very little sugar. The...result: the sweetest, sickliest version of a Mohito ever produced. I asked instead for a basic G&T…..no tonic water – on a Saturday evening! And in a town filled with shops. And with the Manager in full sight, sitting at the bar with his friends, watching football. Between drinks the Manager had actually come over to my table and recommended either the lamb or the steak. I ordered lamb. The waitress came back to the table and rather sheepishly informed me that there was neither lamb nor steak! I decided to quit. The Manager was too ‘busy’ to notice.More

We were pleasantly surprised at this new, clean and vibey restaurant right opposite Maun Airport. The menu has something for everyone and food was delicious. Staff were friendly although delivery of food was slightly slow, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through Maun...and in particular anyone using the airport as there are no restaurants in the airport itself. Check your luggage through and walk across the road for some yummy food!More
