We had a wonderful meal. Our waiter Lampros was attentive and helped us select dishes that he knew we would like based on our conversation. The menu features traditional Greek and regional specialities. We enjoyed fried mushrooms with garlic, smoked fish salad, potato salad, moussaka, the monk's salad, and local Greek sausage. We also drank the local anise flavored liqueur tsipouro. Everything was outstanding. The view of Meteora is breathtaking and the charming town of Kalabaka is close by. Thank you for the memories of a most enjoyable evening.

What a find in Kalambaka! The menu was quite large and has something for everyone on it. There is inside and outside dining. We visited on 2 different evenings for dinner. The food was excellent! We really liked the trout with rice & vegetables. The trout was cooked just right and the meals were a good size and very reasonably priced at 9 Euros a meal...we also tried a few of their desserts and really liked the apple pie which was drizzled with honey. Would definitely go back if in Kalambaka.

When you see the plain sign Polyzos you're not quite sure what to expect. But when you enter there is a warm atmosphere where the outdoor and indoor seating blend with pretty open glass doors. The food lived up to the hype. We would highly recommend the homemade cooking - the μοσχάρι with potatoes and cheese in the ceramic pot was outstanding. The waiter was attentive to our every need. I asked him to pick a nice dry white wine and he made a very good selection. We received a complementary liquor and watermelon. All for a very reasonable price! Highly recommend.

Delicious food,spotless facilities and hospitality will make your vacation more enjoyable. On our way back from Meteora we had a chance to experience Greek atmosphere, authentic food and great service there.Everything was wonderful!If you have passion for Greek cuisine,I do really recommend you to order gyros or moussaka.They are fantastic!

Stunning View, outstanding food and friendly service! Although we speak no Greek, we were
warmly greeted with a lovely local welcome drink and received great recommendations on food choices. There are options available for all: Vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten free & kid appropriate meals, too! The portions were ample and as we ordered some side dishes, as well, we couldn’t finish all that we ordered. I had the lamb chops and although I’ve eaten lamb chops in fancy restaurants, these far exceeded any I have enjoyed in the past. They were locally sourced and seasoned to perfection. At the end of our meal, we were given some delicious watermelon wedges along with or check, which was much less than we had expected to pay. This restaurant can accommodate small or large groups, with plenty of social-distancing space, both outdoors and indoors, if you prefer.
So glad we decided to eat dinner in this wonderful place!

Great choice to visit this restaurant after our tour around the monasteries of Meteora. This restaurant has one again proved that Greek food and air are unique. Very warm welcome,and the waiter was very polite and smiling. Homemade chips,super soft octopus, aromatic lamb,and traditional tzatziki is absolutely amazing.

The shop is very nice with a large space. However, you can't be in Meteora with hundreds of people and say today I don't have souvla... (chicken short souvli etc...) while all the other taverns have. We got a village cheese pie that was definitely heated in the microwave, all the mains came with potatoes first, while a portion of lamb ribs for €15 had 7 ribs in the fat. One of the 7 was called a rib... Also, in the "ointment plate" all pre-commercial ointments from the cheap ones. Fresh bread but not a little baked. I ate at 4 tavernas in the area, this was definitely the worst in terms of food. There are infinitely better taverns in the area….

Από τα λεγόμενα σας βλέπω οτι δεν έχετε γνώση τη είναι πατάτα φρέσκια και τη προκατ όπως τη λέτε, το ότι σας είχαμε στη μερίδα 7 κομμάτια παϊδάκια κ με λίπος κιόλας μη το λετε αλλού θα μας κάνουν παράπονα για υπερ μεριδα . Που είδατε εσείς παϊδάκια χωρίς λίπος !!
Φάγατε 15 πιατα φαγητά 3 ατομα κ μετά δε σα άρεσαν!!

Traditional greek "taverna" specialising in char coaled meat dishes. The food was fresh and delicious, the appetizers decent as well. The environment is really relaxing, offering nice views over the garden and a children's playground.

We had a pleasure to take a dinner here after visiting Meteora. We ordered dish of the day - it was pork in orange sauce cooked in oven with potatoes and rice. I really liked it and it was big enough so we took just this for us both. More than that the owner gave us welcome drink before food and a dessert after it. We really appreciated that. I totally recommend the place if you want delicious food with wonderful view and excellent service.

We found this restaurant by chance, and being late after sunset on the Meteora, we stopped. What a wonderful choice!! Food is tasty, fresh and the menu is very rich (appetizers, meat, fish and traditional Greek plates). The place is very nice (you can both eat outside or inside) and clean. Staff is really helpful and kind. We returned a second time and the experience was even better. Portions are generous. It is outside the town and therefore the area is quiet. We definitely recommend this place (also for vegetarians there are a number of options). Don’t miss it (the fact that the restaurant has been chosen by Greek people for celebrating a family reunion before a marriage let understand that cooking is really good!)

A last-minute decision turned into one of the nicest evenings of our two week trip! Service is so sweet and attentive, food was perfect. We felt so welcome just like we were family. And the ambience was dreamy — sitting in their lovely outdoor courtyard. 100% recommended!

Everything was perfect: atmosphere, service and food. We drove past the restaurant after visiting the monasteries. Decided to stop by for our lunch before proceeding to our next stop. We are very happy with the decision. We had lamb in tomatoes sauce and dolmadakia as recommended by the gentleman serving us. They were delicious. We also had seafood salad and grilled octopus, all great!

Quiet restaurant with a garden a little way away from the town centre, which we think is actually an advantage. The seating is a little quieter and there is not so much traffic noise - although you can see and hear the main road quite well here too - but you can see some of the rocks. The food was good overall, at a tavern level, especially the tzatziki, grilled peppers filled with cheese and lamb were good. The veal from the oven was cooked for too long in our opinion and therefore a little tasteless and the souvlaki was not very juicy and too tough. Unfortunately, the service was not as good as we expected: although it was fast, it was not very friendly and attentive, and part of the order was forgotten. The price-performance ratio was OK, but we would not come back.

My pork dinner was so poorly cooked that I could barely cut it with a knife. We were the only customers at 9PM and the staff were watching a football game. We had so many wonderful meals in Greece but this was not one of them.

Great lunch at Polysos after visiting the Holy Trinity Monastery in Meteora. The grilled octopus and the grilled pork poncetta were delicious, they were accompanied with a mixture of select olives, fried eggplant, local bread, and wine. The service was great!, thank you John!
