Just occasionally everything comes together and the overall experience is flawless as it was for us when we visited La Salamandra Pulperia on our last night in Bariloche. This is a lovely, small and friendly restaurant. You must book beforehand, because demand is so high....Run by a husband and wife team (alone) they have limited capacity but cope well with a full house. Having read many of the reviews we started with empanadas and the mushroom brioch. No ordinary mushrooms - Chantelle and Portobello in a lovely pesto. We shared a 600g ribeye which was perfectly cooked to sugoco accompanied by a lovely fresh salad and bottle of Andeluna 1300 2018 vintage (rated 3.9 at Vivvino) priced at 600 pesos (£8). Definitely one of the top 3 restaurants in Bariloche, if what we received in terms of dishes and service is what you look for. Note from another review - thankfully the lady with the mobile phone did not re-appear. If she had I may have intervened on behalf of the owner and other clients!More
